Well from retail experience; I know that when a shelf tag is up, the product is on its way or why else waste the shelf space. My local TRU is now on my speed dial

In my retail experience, a shelf tag did not always mean a product was imminent. Sometimes planograms would have a tag for something that wouldn't show for months, or even ever in a couple cases!

A shelf tag only means one thing for certain - whoever does the in-store marketing for TRU for that aisle expected the product to be out by now at some point in time and made space for it - that doesn't mean for certain that it is coming soon, or even in a month or two.

I think the initial leak on this was from a planogram anyway, and wasn't that months ago?

Hopefully TRU.com has these MP TF toys on their site. Because TRU stores do a horrible job in teaching their employees to not be scalpers. Most TRU employees & managers hide stuff in the back stock room. they wait till pay day,then sell the stuff on ebay.

I kinda wish this was a Walmart or Target store exclusive. because these stores always have clearance sales.

from what i remember a tru employee told me is that green sticker over the price tag with that date, 8/13, means that when it was set there was no stock to fill yet. sometime you will then find a new sticker over it or a new one with a new date meaning that since a new replenish there has been no product to place.

or something along those lines.

What TRU in IL was this at?

I am gonna try not to take offense to this. I am a TRU employee and have NEVER done this. Heck, I have never even heard of this happening in my neck of the woods. Most employees don't even know enough to even think of profitting from exclusives. TRU just has too many that end up rotting on the shelf as it is. Besides, it is explicitly stated in the rules that TRU employees are to NOT do this.

As for the shelf tag, a label was probably printed to usher in the new release. The question for me is the green sticker. That means an order was placed for the item or needs to be. That shelf label isn't there to just take up space. Retail space is at a premium. The only reserved space is for "*******" highlighted tags.

Can't wait to hear that TC is on their website. It's easier for me to go the online route then go to TRU in my area because I'm usually disappointed when I get there lol.

The tag doesn't really mean it will be in stock soon. MP TC is just part of the planogram for the current reset at TRU. TRU stores usually do not get shelf labels for new items until that item is actually in stock except for times like this when the new product is on a planogram.

I posted in the original MP Thundercracker thread almost 3 weeks ago that the local TRU showed 260 Thundercrackers on order to the DC (Georgia, I believe) and 0 Primes. I checkd again last week and the number had jumped to over 900 on order. Still 0 for Prime. It would not surprise me in the least to see Thundercracker before Prime.

So from what I've read mp thundercracker is defintely mp-11 mold with a stand and color is the same as the generations thundercracker.For $70 I think Its worth it.

You could always make a deal with a member here in the US to get it for you at cost + shipping. A little less rapeage of the wallet but you need to have a US member you trust.
