While at a Toys R Us in Concord, North Carolina, 2005 boards member fiveironfr3nzy spotted a merchandising sheet with a rather interesting listing:

THUNDERCRACKER MASTERPIECE

No word on if this will be a repaint of the recent MP-11 Starscream V2 mold, or the original MP-3 mold. Stay tuned!

I think it was reported that TRU will indeed sell MP Thundercracker, based on the new seeker mold.

You mean Thundercracker doesn't get shortchanged?

The way I see it, this might be Hasbro experimenting with different pricepoints for Masterpiece figures. With Thundercracker being the cheaper one and Prime the more expensive premium one.

After all, the Prime toyline has no expensive big-ticket items.

1) I, and i'll guess at least a few others, don't want to see either of them shortchanged.

2) If they're going to keep pace with Takara... the US Masterpiece line is going to have to expand.

Yeah, well, I'd probably buy it regardless, but I hope it's more of a metallic blue as well.

I mean, we've already got the iGear option if anyone really wants a more toon-ish version.

I may pass if he's got those damned "samurai" hips, though.

2) I have a feeling it'll be the pale blue animation colours, based on the Western Skywarp and Starscream releases.

For continuity, I would prefer it be the original mold. I don't want 2 out of 3 seekers to be different molds.

i hope this is correct, but if it is this is officailly AWESOME/WALLET OVERLOAD! I mean with FOC and it's inevitable collector's edition, at least 8 FOC Generations figures, MP 10 Optimus Prime, and now this I don't think my wallet can handle it all. But I hope it's correct anyway!

ROTF stuff was still on shelves last Xmas at TRU. They refuse to clearance stuff out and tend to over order stupid movie figures that sit on the shelves for years.

If this is genuine and a western TC is on the cards I would have to imagine it would be the original version as Japan doesn't even have a V2 TC yet, and I don't think the US would get one first.
