I've walked into my local toys r us here in oz and seen takara's ghost starscream shelf warming for over a year. I'd say these will be the same takara release at the same price. Acid Storm is a weird choice. Not many people are going to buy it.

No, TRU and Target sold Takara MPs. Not Hasbro. If Hasbro are saying that Australia will get MP Soundwave, then it's pretty obvious that its going to be a Hasbro release.
Why is it so hard to believe? Hasbro have pushed out a few MPs over the years. Soundwave seems like a no brainer for them to do.

This is exactly the same as the other thread. It confirms nothing. What it does actually say is TRU Australia will be stocking Masterpiece Soundwave but when you throw into the mix that they actually sell Takara MP's on the shelf this changes things.
Seriously. I know ppl are really hoping for a release but jumping to conclusions after skim reading a vague email isn't concrete evidence. Until they say that there will specifically be a Hasbro release in an area that doesn't sell Takara figures I'd not get too excited.

Yeah, and it used the MP-3 Turdscream mold. Which is why a lot of folks passed on it.
I'm a big Skywarp fan, he's always been my favorite seeker. And I would still love to have a MP fig of him. But you couldn't pay me to own ANY version of MP-3.

well if this is true this is the final nail in the coffin for 3rd party products for me with the way mps are being released theres no way i can do both so this year if this is true that will be mp13 and hasbro soundwave, mp10b , mp 15 , mp16 mp 17 , 18 , 19 and now mp acid storm thats 8 released this year 9 if you include the 2 releases of soundwave what a massive boost in the mp line and plus the possible release of mp10 in the uk..the way they are going by the end of 2014 we will have a big chunk of the g1 cast done and dusted in mp form
think i will keep buying the mmc predaking bots but thats fansproject menasor completely out the window

Skywarp ain't gonna happen for a long time, because how poorly the last mp skywarp did (thus ending wal-mart carrying the masterpiece line, dooming me to never find masterpieces at retail anymore). he did badly because he wasn't that much of a popular character, and the final nail in the coffin was a ton of people waited for clearance for him
thundercracker ain't doing so well either, seeing as he is shelfwarming lately in most TRU, so if acid storm does happen, which I am suprised hasbro is willing to chance after the poor performance of skywarp and possibly thundercracker, I really don't see it being that profitable for hasbro

Acid storm? was supposed to keep my mp seekers limit for the trio (SS,SW,TC) i want acid storm but not sure if it will look good if i displayed 4 repaints of a mold.
