I successfully placed an order at 615am. After tax and shipping it came out to $70.

I thought the same thing. You can get Skywarp cheap on Ebay. I got mine for 30 bucks including shipping.

If it goes for $100 in stores, then I won't be getting one. I'll just stick with the Takara version I already have.

No, it isn't out. Eveyone listen to me here because I am the only one who knows for sure. There are no Grimlocks at TRU yet, not at .com, not in the stores, they haven't even been delivered to the warehouses. Any of you who got orders through expect to have them either cancelled or be waiting a long time.

The price is right, I'll be buying him when he appears in the laminated book of dreams.

He works for TRU IIRC and is usually in the know with TRU matters.

The $60 "sale price" they had on the site seems more accurate. I thought I read on here somewhere that in Canada he was already listed for about $65.

Its a simple marketing tactic put the actual price as a so called sale price then put a higher retail/list/regular price at a significant price above said "sale" price.

Makes people believe they are getting a hell of a deal when they aren't.

I'm hoping to be able to pick two of these guys up to display in both modes. He'll be my first Transformers purchase in a long time.

^Exactly! The sale price is actually the actual price. One question though, since this is the Hasbro version, this is the Grimlock is the one with the rounded teeth and clipped claws right?

Yeah - it'll have the rounded teeth/clipped claws in all likelyhood, to conform to North American safety laws.

Which makes complete sense, and is not a dealbreaker for me personally. It's a cheap Grimlock with the accessory I give a crap about (the crown), so I'm not complaining.

So is this available now? Should I be going to local Toys R Us to find Masterpiece Grimlock today or this week? I should be back home from California end of the week, but I dont want to miss out.
