Absolutely gorgeous. I love all the little decals like the Reflector and the seeker holding Soundwave.

Def will be picking this up. I am not buying much from Hasbro lately but an MP Thundercracker at that price is a no brainer. Gonna have to call TRU on a regular basis til I find one.

The paint apps make for some nice touches.

Well that's a shame. I really hoped all that gawdy alt mode decal nonsense would be optional stickers. Definitely skipping it now and will be holding my breath that A) Takara even does their own version, and B) if they do, that they don't destroy the mold with this same kind of nonsensical deco.

For those new to this mold, the tab on the arm is à potential weak spot unfortunately.

Yeah, the only other version I have is the walmart Skywarp. I was hoping I didn't make a fool of myself and mistransform something in the pics.

I dig it. If possible, can you put up pics of the tailfin decos and a better shot of whatever is written on the cockpit piece under the "Dragon" pilot label?

Well, there are two things you could do with this figure without having to wait for the Takara version:

1. Rubbing Alcohol. This usually does the trick in removing Hasbro paint apps, although not a good idea if the deco being rubbed off is also on paint covering a completely different colored piece (I.E. Tailfins), since the alcohol will take everything.

2. Reprolabels. It's almost a guarantee that they'll make a set for this guy that removes the extra decos.

If anything, my biggest complaint is the Refelctor image... it seems very out of place.

Yeah, I was thinking about the rubbing alcohol. only problem is that it will take off the black as well.

However, you can remove a majority of those painted apps with no issues. It's just the ones that have paint under them that will be a problem.

The sonic Boom app doesn't really bug me that much - actually kinda like it to be honest.

The nose cone and shoulder apps bug me way more. I'm debating just getting rid of those.

What's the chances they will re-release Skywarp and Starscream using this mold.

So many paint apps that I'm gonna be stripping off this thing. The reflector graphics, the tailfin picture of a seeker with soundwave with "sonicboom", the stuff around the cockpit, and the designs ontop of the intakes that are based on the old G1 stickers.

I think they all look extremely stupid.

I'll probably be painting all the silver plastic actual silver, so he matches skywarp.

Yeah, I hear you. I think people will take off different apps. I actually like the ones you mention. The reflector is weak decal for me as well.

I am hoping the tail fin is molded in black, that would be sweet!

Even if it isn't, black on black is literally the easiest thing in the world to paint. just mask off everything but the stuff you want to get rid of, and blast with spray paint.

I got two other mp TC so I am not sure what I will do yet. I may just sell the Takara one and package up the custom and use this one as my main one. Not sure yet. But getting this regardless.

Not sure yet I want to paint him. Paint has it's own issues.

Are the military names by the cockpit in reference to anything?

Well, Joe Kyde is a Hasbro deco artist, but I have no idea who the other name is.

Whoo, TC has so many decals! Not a fan of all these decal especially that cockpit text which has nothing to do with either TC or TF, lol. I agreed the Reflector should've been an accessory.

Despite the annoying decal, I am 80% sure of thinking purchasing TC for my 4 year old son especially when he adores my MP11 very much.

It actually looks like it has several defects where they took it out of the plastic mold. You can see some in picture 4 to the left of the Reflector tattoo. That is a damn shame for $70.

I find it odd that theres 2 pilots names on a single manned fighter. The only decal that bothers me is the camera. I think its worth the money.

... why the hell does he have a tattoo of PerfectEffect's camera on him?

The two pilots could be the pilot and the co pilot.

Also, people you can get rubbing alcohol wipes. About 5 minutes of elbow grease, and your good.

That would be true for a 2 man cockpit. Last I remembered the F-15's were single pilot fighter.

That Reflector decal just looks terrible. I don't care how easily it can be removed after the fact; why would they think it was a good idea in the first place??

The stuff around the cockpit doesn't bother. I am not to fond of the sonic boom app on the tail fin. The reflector app is horrendous. That will be gone asap. Sometimes I just don't know what Hasbro is thinking.

Yeah, all the weird tattoos remind me of G2.

Typically the 2 names on a real aircraft are of a Pilot (officer) and the airplanes crew cheif (enlisted)

So much wrong with this;

The shade of blue is wrong and not even close to G1
Can't unsee the short shorts, mini skirt, hot pants
The Decepticon logos are upside down on the wings
Those damn tatoos are everywhere, completely ruins it.

After all that I'll still be buying it....I'm weak. I'll probably keep it sealed and sell it when the Takara toon accurate version comes out.

I was looking forward to this, but the decals just turned me off. I'm still satisfied with MP-07.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great alternative to the price of what MP-07's are going for if you didn't get a chance to pick up MP-07 at release prices. And this is cheaper than iGear's I believe. Hasbro was doing so well with TRU MP-10 release color redeco, quality, and price. What happened to TC??

Nope. The F-15 "A" and "C" models were single-seat, with the "B" and "D" variants sporting two. Of course, there's the Strike Eagle which also has two seats.

I'm pretty sure the MP seekers are modeled after the Strike Eagle, even if there's only one seat in the figure's cockpit.

After having an Hasbro MP Starscream, and Rodimus break almost immediately after opening, I'm really worried about the QC on this one. Stress-marks right out of the box isn't exactly a good early sign.

Between that tab on the arm and the hinge that attaches the wing-assemblies to the body, we'll see how many pictures of mangled Thundercrackers end up in this thread....

I was seriously considering it but those decals are just downright silly. Maybe I'll get lucky and score an old mold Thundercracker to match my Starscream and Skywarp.
