Masterpiece Soundwave Revealed

Thanks to Amazon Japan we have our 1st look at the resin prototype for Transformers Masterpiece Soundwave! Also shown is Laserbeak in both cassette and bird modes. Stay tuned as more of MP13 Masterpiece Soundwave may be shown soon at Tokyo Toy Show 2012!

In the meantime, click on the thumbnail to take a closer look! It's mentioned on the Amazon page that MP Soundwave can hold up to 3 cassettes and suggests that more cassettes may be released in the future!

No, I'm with ya there. I'm guessing it'll involve some crazy inside-out flippy stuff like with Universe 2.0 Ravage, that thing was awesome, even if his butt cheeks wouldn't lock together.

I'm more impressed by the Laserbeak!! Soundwave is Soundwave is Soundwave - sure, it'll be nice to have some more articulation and a more animation-accurate head and bodily proportions, but really, there's very little transformation- or design-wise you can do to improve significantly on the mechanics of the G1 figure. That Laserbeak, though, holy shit!

I like that they put the effort into making sure Soundwave could push his eject button too.

Absolutely perfect... Beats FT-02 by a country mile, sadly for them! Proportions are spot on, articulation... and will hold 3 cassettes!!! Speaking of which, if they're all as good as Laserbeak I wanna see them ASAP!

It is a fake headphone jack on the top not the front. but it's for fake head phones just like what the original CASSETTE-MAN came with before he was called Soundwave. I'm also gonna bet that the shoulder cannon has a jack to peg in it as well.
