Masterpiece Prowl New Image - Roof Mounted Rifle Attack Modage

Shogo Hasui has been active on Twitter again, tweeting out some new images of the Masterpiece series Transformers. As well as an image of the ever-sharp looking MP-10B Black Convoy he has tweeted an image of Masterpiece Prowl with his gun mounted on the roof of his patrol car mode. Much like Sideswipe and Red Alert's optional configurations, this mode lets Prowl drive about with his gun on his roof in an attack mode, if you are inclined.

The image of Prowl with the shoulder missile launchers deployed was also tweeted, with the explanation that the shoulder launchers can be stowed in robot and vehicle mode without being removed, much like the launchers on the Universe Deluxe class interpretation of Prowl.

Oh yes - and the spelling of "Highway Patrol" on the doors has been corrected!

Are Bluestreak's windows tinted red? At first I thought he had red shins with a smoked window over them, but in car mode, his windshield looks red too.

Also---Takara seems to have hired TFC's copywriter. HIGHWAY PATOROL.

Clear pics confirm the plastic tires. You can see the hollow back of the tires on the shoulders in the bot mode pics.

That's 2 molds (Countach and Fairlady Z) now so I guess we can safely say it's the standard for MP cars.

I can't help but wonder if the pictures are deliberately angled to hide what's going on with the back wheels in bot mode, they must fold flat or something.

Someone needs to PS these guys in on an Autobot MP pic that comprises of iGear Ironhide and Ratchet. That would look awesome and give us a taster of what is to come. I wonder why they leave the indicators uncoloured?

You know, I'm starting to think Bluestreak's cannons transform into the tailpipes in vehicle mode. If that's true, Prowl might have his stored away to complete the transformation. Whatever the case, I just hope it's possible to store all their weapons in vehicle mode. But "Patorol"? Wah ha ha ha! Actually, the Engrish just makes it look more authentic. Conglaturation, Takara!

That's what it looks like to me too.

Glad they have two entirely different heads too. I mean, it was already obvious the crests and "helmets" were different, but I was kinda afraid the faces would be the same mold.

the windows aren't red people. you can see bluestreaks red plastic bits inside the car mode through the windows.

I'm thinking the overly large windshield wipers are poseable and might be advertised as a gimmick.

Both look amazing enough to get me to dive headfirst back into the Masterpiece line. I hope they correct the spelling error on Prowl, but even if they don't there's no way I'm cancelling my preorder.

Even nicer cleared up. I would like to see the outside lower leg, both toys seem angled to hide it.

Either way, I'll order these from Kapow nearer the time methinks.
