In fairness though, as far as I know, this TRU branch is one of their most popular ones. Located in a popular tourist as well as local shopping area. Also, I dunno, but you can probably have one shipped cheaper Patience though, since the US will be getting it at a much lower price.

Thanks for the heads-up! I read on AC-Toys ( I can't access AC-Toys now) that there is a QC issues with regards to his gray part of his headpiece (a slight chip) above his eyes. Apparently there are two batches: 1 batch made in China while the other made in Vietnam, and his was made in China. Any issues with yours? thanks again Intending to get mine as well when it hits my country too

^That is one of the nicest G1 Prime heads I've seen in a long time. Hasbro did it right for once! The blue color head + eye color really is spot on to cartoon. Love it!

I know right? It's quite awesome! The proportions of this one compared to MP1 also gives it a more heroic look. If there's one thing I wish they could have done better, it's the gray plastic on the legs, wished it looked more metallic, like they did the faceplate.

I ordered one from Hong Kong earlier in the week. Just checked the tracking details and it has arrived in the country, should see it Monday Man I hope mine doesn't have that QC problem otherwise I will be mighty pissed!

Hasbro Australia info on a box is nothing new, or even that uncommon, even SDCC Cliffjumper has Hasbro Australia info on the box.

As recently as FOC Wave 1, Hasbro are still using Chinese factories.
Cyberverse figures all appear to be made in Vietnam these days.

After seeing the g1 Optimus in FoC I can't help but think that the MP could come out around the same day as the video game does. That was the feeling I had, and I'm going to stick with it.

I am thinking this will hit anytime, release dates are hard to predict. I love the packaging! Nice display. I continue to be amazed that hasbro got the price down from 250 to 100. I will have to wait until i have it hand to comPare with my MP 10. Glad that this is at a prIce where most collectors can afford it. Every tranformers fan should own this toy, he is THAT cool!

Man, I'm loving this guy! I can't wait for him to hit the US, although Vegas TRUs stink and usually only get a case or 2, so he'll be heavily scalped here.

Huh. I just checked the same spot on my Takara MP 10 and noticed what appears to be a flattened spot on the side of the head vent where that chip is. Mine doesn't have the chip, but I'm not curious what's going on with the mold they use. It almost looks like the mold might have been repaired or altered. It's only on that side though.

Well. Never thought I'd be tempted by a Hasbro version of an MP over a Takara one, but where I wasn't fussed enough to fork out for the MP10 Convoy, I think I'll be after one of these. Really, really looks good, none of the expected fumbling of the ball here (i.e. short smokestacks, rubbish/severely lacking paint etc). Look forward to standing this next to MP1 Convoy.

I don't mind the delay, but my biggest problem is just the lack of information at all. There's never been a real set time frame other than the SSDC tag saying "July '12". Hasbro has just been really quiet about getting out any sort of real information out lately.
