Fresh off of the news yesterday about Masterpiece Grimlock’s release in Germany, we have more sightings news regarding everyone’s favorite dinosaur, this time being a retail release in Poland. According to TFW2005 board member Wallas, this is actually the second wave of Grimlock’s spotted, which hopefully bodes well for availability if you have not yet scored one. The push towards a wider European market release for these Masterpiece figures also hopefully spells good news for future releases and the ease of which to purchase them.
Check it out after the jump.

Anyone want to part with their coin? I have some stuff called money for exchange.

You mean mp-greenlock with that ugly green plastic chest wtf
LegendAntihero
That's great news. mP Grimlock is a must have

Do you know if this still available? I'm coming to Warsaw at end of January and I really would like to pick this from TRU.
Shame that in Finland they don't have any of these in our local TRU…

I'm surprised TF's have any popularity at all in Poland, given that the cartoon received such poor, extremely cheap treatment there.
One bland voice for all characters. Insane!
Even in recent times, same thing with the movies:

I have Polish Friends going home for Christmas Holidays soon. I'll have be extra nice to them and see if they can bring me a MP Grimlock back
BB Shockwave
F*** TRU for not opening any stores in Hungary. Seriously…
Mochu
That is a good news of course, but personally I order everything from TF Source, Captured Prey and eBay anyway, so this doesn't affect me that much.

Thanks for this, now I can win half the battle . So Germany got a nice share of exclusives as well. From all of this I think only the Movie Scouts were available for some time in Poland, not sure why. Aside from that we got only MP Rodimus. Then again, TRU is present in Poland only since ca. 1.5 year, so most of these things missed us by default.
Nevermore
Hmm, let me see:
The very first exclusive I recall being available in Germany was the 2007 Movie "Decepticon Desert Attack" Voyager Blackout/Deluxe Scorponok two-pack (Toys"R"Us in the US, the UK and Germany).
In addition, some of the Scouts (Strongarm, Skyblast, Clocker, Armorhide, Elita-One and Air Raid) that were Target exclusives in the US were available at general retail here.
In 2008, we got the Animated Deluxe Ratchet/Bumblebee two-pack (Toys"R"Us in the UK and Germany, never released in the US).
In 2009, we got the ROTF Deluxe Wheelie/Sideways two-pack (Toys"R"Us in the UK and Germany, never released in the US).
2011 saw a major increase of exclusives:
– Masterpiece Rodimus (Toys"R"Us in the US, the UK and Germany)
– DOTM Cyberverse Starscream & Bumblebee Evolution four-pack (Toys"R"Us in the US, the UK and Germany)
– DOTM "Cyberverse" Bumblebee/Soundwave/Rodimus three-pack (Walmart in the US, Asda in the UK and Rossmann in Germany)
– DOTM Voyager Optimus Prime & Deluxe Comettor (Walmart in the US, Smyths in the UK and Galeria Kaufhof in Germany)
– DOTM Deluxe comic packs Arcee, Bumblebee, Autobot Jazz and Space Case (Target in the US, Tesco in the UK and Müller in Germany)
– "Transformers" WFC "Rage over Cybertron" Optimus Prime/Bumblebee/Megatron three-pack (Toys"R"Us in the US, the UK and Germany)
With AOE, the number increased even more. See here for more details.
AOE Generations are also TRU exclusives in the UK and Germany, at least in theory. Intertoys, a Dutch chain, has several stores in my area, and because AOE Deluxes are apparently not exclusive to TRU in the Netherlands, German Intertoys stores stock them too… albeit at higher prices than TRU.
Wallas
Most likely they were sent to both countries at the same time, but since TRU Poland's webstore is an invention only a month old (and it still shows judging by its very small online offer), instead of putting the Grimlocks online like it was done for Germany, they were immediately thrown on the shelves. At least that's my theory.
Moroni Prime
Once Grimlock showed up in Germany, it was only a matter of time before he invaded Poland. o_o;
Wallas
Oh, but we are happy. Up until last two years or so we (Europe except for the UK) never got any exlusives at all, and this is only the second Masterpiece we ever had in Poland (first was very limited run of MP Hasbro Targetmaster Rodimus, again, thanks to TRU), so any is better for us than none. Here in Poland we got used to being the collector's third world, we had many many years to toughen up about it For example, to my knowledge the few TRUs we have here are the only shops that offer Age Of Extinction Generations figures, all other stores, even those leading the market sales (SMYK chain) have only the simplified TF4 offerings.
So yes, we take what they throw at us and it's still a vast improvement for us
wildfly
You mean they ordered too many for the U.S. so they're offloading the rest of them on Europeans who should be happy they're getting anything at all, right?
unexpectedpanda
With the wider release I had hoped they'd reissue the King Grimlock coin. For now it looks like it will remain a rare TRU Asia (Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan) exclusive. When it does hit eBay, it's usually listed for over $100. Thankfully no one ever buys at that price
Wallas
[Looks at the TFW main page] Heh, glad you liked this little piece of information. If you want I can post more findings of this sorts here, I did not do that previously because I assumed no one cared about toy releases in Poland I'm glad to be proven wrong.
As a hopefully useful bonus, here is my unboxing of this toy if anyone wants to know what to expect inside / what's the size of this thing. The sound is in my native language as of now, but I can add English subtitles to this if there's an audience for that.

A grimlock for us Polocks! Everyone needs a Grimy.
DukeFett
I'm glad everyone is getting a chance to own this guy!
Nevermore
TRU are really extending the exclusive angle in Europe lately, aren't they?
Wallas
Yes, MP TRU Grimlock is all over Europe indeed. Nevermore recently reported his presence in Germany, but here in Poland this guy started being available since early October and is now periodically restocked on shelves. So far two waves of him were spotted, but given the Christmas season I wouldn't be surprised to see him for the third time around.
This is the same box as in rest of the Europe, with multi-language battery note, seal of exclusiveness and the ridiculous "upside-down with no sealing tapes" package innards.
The cost here is 329,99 PLN which translates to around 100-110 American dollars.
I still silently hope we magically get a MP Prime and MP Soundwave US version over here. Must keep an eye out on that Haven't seen Sunstorm yet, though.
