Very nice, he won't replace my original MP Optimus, but he's a must buy regardless.

I know it's because it has to store it in the back but I don't like how his gun is super tiny.

That thing looks awesome. Not liking the Autobot logo placement on the trailer though.

He looks a lot better in these pics. Nice head too. If this were about $100 cheaper, it'd be far more of a must have.

Still don't dig the grill though.

I'll wait for the Hasbro release this time. I don't wanna $200 test figure - made that mistake with MP-09. =(

Looks like he has no thumb articulation, another wrong point IMO.

I'm not saying "I will never buy it" and so but it really looks like MP-01 will stay the true Prime Masterpiece to me.

I've got to stop looking at photo's of this guy because I don't need another MP Prime.

Looks decent enough but I'm still waiting to be wowed by this. The alt mode is great, no question. Very realistic looking truck. But I rarely display my figs in alt mode so that charm of MP-10 is a bit lost on me. The bot mode.... there's just something about the proportions on this guy that bugs the crap out of me. The slightly slanted vents on his overly long ab faux grill is part of it; his obnoxiously huge cankle shins are another.

All said and done, I'm perfectly happy with my Faith Leader, and have no use for the trailer. Glad I saved $275. Wake me when TakTom or Hasbro releases a trailerless version at a more sane price point.

This looks awesome. I will never be able to afford it though. Hopefully a hasbro version will be available. Definite improvement.

Hmm, MP-01 still looks better to me. Especially with the iGear head. Perfection!
Curious about the Masterpieces that'll come after this one, especially if there's a new seeker mold coming.

Needs side windows but other than that it's not bad.

Pardon my language, but Takara have a pair of brass ones on them.

They shrink the MP line to cut corners, then they turn out a smaller MP Convoy as if they're doing us a favour.

So Takara, if you're so concerned about scale, why is MP Grimlock so small?

Wow, at least the truck mode look's descent! Look's like things line up a lot better, and hopefully the model will too. Hope this isn't one of those touched-up photos and this really does look that good.

It has side windows they just fold in when in robot mode so they don't get broken off. Look at the truck pictures and you will see em.

Where the door is on the side - MP-01 had clear plastic that kind of gave a better impression of a window being there - here there is just a red square.

The arms still look too long to me also (commence with the jokes about monkey trucks XD), not to mention for all the trouble they put into the alt mode they could have found a better way to fold the wheels away into or closer behind the legs, instead of just using the wheel well covers to "hide" them. Pretty lazy design there. The stylized head looks even more cartoonish (not in a good way) than his old head sculpt, or the one offered by iGear.

Ultimately, I feel the bot mod is a bit too compromised to give us a better alt mode.

I don't know. Really hoping the in-hand reviews will change my mind about New Prime but as is, he's still a mixed bag of ambivalence to me. And the price. Oy, the price.

It is a good rendition of Prime, but the style definitely won't be to everyone's liking. I'm a Prime whore and even I'm a little off-put by some of the designs choices. VEhicle mode is pretty much aces (compare to just about every g1 variant), but robot mode too a much more stylized approach and it is hit and miss for me.

The ab grill looks much better in these photos.

Agreed, the early shots made it look awful.
HOWEVER, has anybody noticed that the robot mode shots are posed to hide his enormous wheel wells in bot mode?

Yeah I found the earlier pictures made the abs look really alien if that makes sense, kind of like movie Prime in DOTM.

The wheels do bug me, even if they somehow ended up on the back of his legs I would have been happy with them over this.

Love it. More in scale with everyone else in the MP line but I'll wait for the Hasbro release hopefully.

I wonder if a new Masterpiece Megatron will follow this.

Depending on how available he is when Hasbro inevitably releases their own version of him, I'll probably get it. He'll be my first MP figure. Would be nice if the next new MP mold was a G2 themed Megatron. Would give us a new Megatron in-scale to the new Optimus, and a MP Megatron that can actually be released in the US, lol.

love the way he looks. I'll definitely pick up the US release when it comes out, as I have no interest in the trailer.

MP10 doesn't excite me as Reissue Devastator, yippeeeeeee!
MP10 theme - proportion problem, LOL. The lower leg looks too short, the arms are too long, the gun is too short. The only thing I like about MP10 is his head, the trailer, the scale, and the gimmick. Still debating, to get or not to get. Knowing TTomy, I'm sure they'll release a White Magnus to milk more money. Maybe I should wait for that, hm........

I'd consider a sweet tank over a crappy pistol.

Unfortunately, the chances of the US version of him coming with the trailer is between slim and none.

I'm still trying to decide if I want one or not. The price is too high.

It's really a good thing that I decided to pass on MP-04 and the subsequent 2010 dead convoy release.
Looks like I'll be shelling out for this new Convoy when it comes out, though I'll definitely be watching the reviews for Q issues like MP-09

The gap between the bottom of the eyes and top of the faceplate is so key!

The more i look at this the more i like it and the only thing i don't really like about it is the gun and the placing of the autobot symbol on the trailer...deffo will not be pre ordering but maybe when it get's released i might go for it after review's
