From the old... to the new! Moving away now from toys that we never got, let's take a look at some scans of an awesome and upcoming toy - Masterpiece Convoy Version 2.0. This new mold Masterpiece Optimus Prime is looking, well, Prime. Fantastically detailed and sized between the original 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime and the Generation 1 Optimus Prime, this new Masterpiece also comes with a little Spike mini-figure and his trailer, with Roller this time. Could it be the greatest Masterpiece yet? It's due out later this month so you won't have long to wait and find out!

Maybe ever so slightly. His head is looking down a bit too, I think it's close enough not to be really discernible.

I wonder if this Masterpiece Huffer(http://www.allspark.com/images/Trans...11/Vol2/12.jpg) will be what we get here in the United States in place of Prime's trailer & Roller IF we do not get them.

Honestly, I'd much rather have the trailer this time and have Hasbro charge the same $80 they do now for DOTM Ultimate Optimus with trailer. C'mon, it's Prime! He's gotta have his trailer! Pretty pleeeeeease.

MP-10 Optimus Convoy has long arms. The MP-1 is more proportion, but I like the MP-10. We'll see what the reviews says before I'm buying one. I made the mistake of jumping the gun with Rodimus Convoy, I bought two without the reviews.

I get the feeling that there is something going on with the biceps that isn't being done in these photos to help shorten the arms up.. Idk, maybe not though. I also kind of hope that someone makes a set of replacement stacks for MP-10.. I don't really like the slanted ones on this guy

.. Now, as for the rest of the stuff shown, That's all just super bad ass. Seeing where the Fort Max concept started REALLY intrigues me, and I would love to see that translated. I would love it if a publisher would bring this over to the states in a translated format

MP-10 looks great! Man, I really don't want to jump BACK into MP collecting but I just might for that Prime....

If Takara can just give us a new Megatron and Galvatron, I'd be happy to just have 4.

I would like to know this too. It is supposed to be out in a little over a month and we still know very little about it. I am not sure why Takara has all this secrecy over a leader Prime remold.

Nope, probably because it wasn't finalized by the time of printing. Granted it might not even be completely finalized yet.

The newest stuff in there are things like MP-10, Cyberverse (nothing that hasn't been released here), and future items we already know what they look like / have stock photography (like Encore Devastator and MP Black Rodimus). Of the two I mentioned it's all pictures we've seen before.

Beast Wars Neo probably wasn't popular enough to produce an Optimal Optimus sized villain.

Plus his cancellation probably helped produce the Armada figure, which (in my opinion) is a much better toy than the Neo Unicron looks. Not that it wouldn't be cool if they released him back in 1999, but we got a better one just a few years later.

He looks great. Definitely. And would help Takara compete with soul of chogokin if they wanted to make entry level masterpieces more frequently.

I am very fascinated to know what magiclly chnaged between then and now. Was there one day Hasbro and Takara designers woke up and said..." I KNOW HOW TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THE SHOW!!!" I mean Overlord...so awsome...why were elbows so hard?

Oh, that gosh darn Wheelie. Getting a good G1 figure only for it not to of been released. He'll never cease to find some way to urk people. That G1 prototype Unicron kind of freaks me out in the shapes.

I have seen that g1 Unicron in person before. I am a bit rusty but maybe it was Botcon 1996? I remember it being in a corner off to the right of the show in a case with other prototypes. Anyone remember that?

Call me stupid and envious, but why do people get news credit for posting links to pictures mirror on another site, the very same pictures that were shown in a book that has been available for more than a month now? I received the book in my mailbox on August 11, should have started a few "news" threads like "OMG, according to this drawing maybe Takara is planning a MP Huffer, OMG".

And I am not sure if the book's publisher is fine with posting those pics either. No TF Club scans, but hey... why not the Japanese books, who cares?

Ya know, that Beast Wars one wasn't to bad for it's time. For a total shell-former anyhow. But then a again, many to most of the Beast Wars figs were shel-formers. I have never seen such clear pictures of it until now.

Gah, MP10 Convoy does look very cool (tho hardly perfect), but I just can't justify it, as there's still really nothing fundamentally wrong with ol' MP1 Convoy. Ah well. Roll on MP Starscream 2.0 & MP Megatron 2.0 anyway... could still bite on one or both of those if they happen & are a bit jawdropping..

The other unreleased prototype stuff from this book is great, interesting stuff..

I want the MP-10 Optimus, but only if the price goes down. He's not as big as Masterpiece megs or prime, even with a trailer, its not worth the $250 that ive been seeing for pre orders imo. also, he looks not so proportioned, like his arms are too long or something. and his gun is wayyyy to small. i also hope he has some kind of blu light piping in his eyes. becuase so far in the pics ive seen, he always looks lifeless. OP is my favorite character in the series, and this thing is really cool, but i would never pay any more than $180 for him. so i'll wait.

I like the the beastwars neo unicron better than the armada one as long as I'm looking at it from the front. It looks so much meaner & more detailed, especially the head. Not impressed with the planet backpack tho. This is the first time I've seen pictures of it from the side & back. The G1 unicron is pretty blah. He's a big fatty. I wanna paint him red, throw a Christmas hat on him & call him the Santa robot from futurama.

The New Optimus is a good looking figure but just far to expensive.

I wonder if anyone would buy a Gold Fortress Maximus (Autobot City Colours) or indeed a Gold Metroplex ? if it's possible to make one that does not fall to pieces that is.
