Hasbro Masterpiece Thundercracker UK RELEASE Cancelled?

Inclined to suspect outright cancellation...unless we hear otherwise this weekend.

Glad I bought the iGear Seekers as I knew Hasbro UK couldn't be relied on.

Does anyone know about the planned US release? Is it still on?

How can something that was never announced get canceled?

The lack of any real news led me to believe this thing was either a hoax or a mis-listing for Hasbro MP10...this cancellation news only supports my suspicions.

Does this mean the new MP optimus Prime will be cancelled too?

Hasbro UK had a tough decision to make: it was either a strictly hypothetical MP Thundercracker or more Speed Stars.

Can we please start a world wide protest forcing hasbro to relinquish its right to the transformers brand and hand it over to a compitent company that knows how to produce quality merchandise and also respects its customers enough to actually deserve our hard earned cash. Meh, when it's Hasbro UK involved I am inclined to not believe them, they said the same thing about mp 01, TRU UK are likely to be importing it themselves rather than through Hasbro UK. They have done it before.

You forget Hasbro's focus is on children. TF collectors most likley make up less than 5% of their sales.
However, its moves like what Hasbro has done here that moved me from anti third party to buying some.

Not really. Apparently someone had TRU look it up and they said "its in the computer but has no date yet" but when one of the local guys in the VA thread put it in the 'puter at his TRU that he works at, it came up "item not found" so who knows.

I guess we'll know after this weekend. If its really coming out this year, we *should* see it in the case tomorrow night.

Ahh! so it's another case of "OH NO! Hasbro has cancelled the release of a figure they never solicited for release in the first place! Those monsters!!"

I always love that one.

I seem to remeber G1 transformers where actually very cool and well made because they where made up from lines bought by hasbro such as micro man etc. then after fans - also children where intrested the toys seemed to loose the former quality and become awful plastic brick like toys, then kids stopped buying and the line fell flat for along time. If hasbro hadent bought the monoply on the line i think we would have a much better range at the moment

i dont think there will be a us release of mp thundercracker either - hope there is - i will buy it of e-bay without question. but i think if it was to be released atall then we would definitely have it. just look at the amount of mp rodimus and grimlock we got. its a big production the less figures they make and sell the more they will loose. i have a feeling there will be no mp thundercracker for toysrus us atall

As soon as i got the email this morning i immediately sent one back asking them if MP Optimus Prime will still be released this year,still waiting on their reply.....

It was always a little suspect that two masterpieces would be released at the same time.

But I suppose it was inevitable, thank you Hasblow! -.- I find the lack of explanation as to why they can't offer the product to the UK hilarious though, as they are more than likely unable to admit (as per usual) to their completely screwed-up distributing methods.

How has TakaraTomy let you down? They released one 4 years ago (and was even clearanced about a year after). If you didn't buy it then that's your own fault.

I may be reading into it too much, but I took it as her wanting a TC based on the MP-11 mold. Maybe she had no interest in the old tooling, which was probably her motivation for getting the iGear release since it made some improvements over the MP-03.

Because it is the responsibility of Hasbro to keep every individual Transformers item stocked on every shelf at all times for the rest of eternity!

Wow, we never even got a confirmation that this thing even really existed yet folks are pulling the "Hasblow" statements already?

I wonder why it was not found. I work at TRU and Thundercracker (item #787681) is still in the system as of a couple days ago.
I hope at SDCC they announce plans for this to be released.

And Hasbro wonders why we stray to 3rd party companies like iGear. They cancel the stuff we all want and continue to shrink our toys while jacking up the price....
