Hasbro Masterpiece Optimus Prime Will Cost You $99.99

Some excellent sleuthing by 2005 Boards member jru42287 has turned up the pricepoint for the Hasbro release of MP-10 Convoy Version 2, Masterpiece Optimus Prime, in a store computer system. According to jru42287's information Masterpiece Optimus Prime will set you back $99.99 when he is released.

Considering that importing a Takara-Tomy version would set you back almost twice as much and Hasbro's release is going to come with everything from the Takara-Tomy one, this is a good deal for all looking forward to this release.

Anyone just want the trailer? I really don't care for it myself but I'm all over the new Prime. At $100 it's at least cheaper than the $250 bull that Takara had going.

Amazingly cheap! That's awesome.

This, plus the wide release, makes it possible for it to show up in my country, at likely double the price, but that's still pretty affordable.

While you're not the first person to confirm the price you are the first to confirm with proof. This should settle down 1 debate over price and start another over whether or not he should have been release with or with out the trailer, ugh. Any how, nice to see evidence in reference to price.

He's coming to the UK, not sure about the rest of Europe.

Wow....I am shocked! That's actually an awesome price. I figured they were probably gonna head into the $150.00 territory.

A shame they couldn't do this with Rodimus Prime with Trailer. Other wise I might have gotten him.

I hope this isn't a TRU exclusive.

TRU has a history of jacking the prices of the MP figures past the MSRP and even their own initial price....because of that, if it's a TRU exclusive, it'll be more than $100 and closer to the $120-$130 range.

Does the OP work for TRU? Because if they work someplace other than TRU, we may also have confirmation of a wide release.

I'd imagine of this sells well anything is possible. At least I'd hope so. A full Rodimus Prime with black shins would be hard to resist at this price instead of the Takara one.

^ If you don't like or want the original then sell it, otherwise I'd hold onto it. I will be getting this MP-10, but it certainly aint replacing my MP-4.

I hope that all retails buy alot of these so I can get lucky just like the first time mp prime came out bought the first one for $60 second for $30 and the third and fourth for $20 each heres hope I can get around the same prices for the new one

exactly what i was just about to type but still £100 is a fantastic price for prime and trailer just a shame as around £65 ($100) would have been perfect
