Check out this month's Figure King scans, showing off full-color photos of the upcoming MP-12 Sideswipe, along with prototype images of MP-13 Soundwave and MP-14 Red Alert. The scans also include the latest Arms Micron figures, including the recently revealed Swerve, a redeco of Breakdown. The scans conclude with another look at the Hell Flame Micron campaign.

Scan credit goes to Toy-world.com.hk.

So...uh...the hell are they doing with Airrachnid?

She actually looks kind of less shitty there, but I mustn't believe their LIES.
LamboTwinLove
They need to stop teasing me with Sideswipe and just give me the damn lambo!
OMEGAPRIME1983
Hm... Tfp prime is to get a trailer it seems. Interesting.
Robogeek28
That turtle Micron is awesome! Not only does he have TWO colors on him he's got a reversed colorscheme as well.
TFtoycollector
I knew MP Laserbeak would have his head camera.
Scantron
So, you can kind of get a spider-mode for Airachnid by purchasing two of them and attaching both sets of rotors to the sides of one of the figures? Bit of a stretch, but I guess.

Looking forward to the new Microns, both the "Skyboom shield" and the other five.
rxlthunder
I like Swerve's pizza cutter Arms Micron.
TCracker
Oh shiat....looks like I need to hunt down all them Microns..........*fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu*

Soundwave's shoulder cannon and blaster can be stored in tape deck mode. The downside is, they're exposed rather than stored under the back panel as AA batteries like on the G1 figure.

I do hope the final release of Sideswipe has that one big door seam minimized--but it's been there in almost every shot of every prototype. (the big horizontal seam just a bit below the window) It almost looks like he's got a black pinstripe going into the NACA duct--but it's just a major gap. A pin/tab or something there, please.

::edit:: Even the Red Alert prototype has it. Everything else seems to peg together tightly, but the most visible seam of all they just seem to have ignored?

It's cardboard.

i'd agree with you there and why should they also tease us with the grey proto for Red Alert when they could also show it in color...same goes for Soundwave...

I dunno... I'm buying Sideswipe for sure, but I can't see anything, aside from the smaller production numbers and most likely better paint, that would make this different than any deluxe. Alternity had metal and interiors and crazy engineering. Ol' Swipe here wouldn't seem out of place in $15 deluxe packaging.

Still...I can't pass up a member of the 84 crew done that accurately.

Real bummer about Soundwave's batteries. How in the hell did that go wrong? Exposed on the outside, separated from each other, with nothing contacting the end. Ugh. Even Tit Soundwave got that part right.

What's the white Cyberverse Prime seen in artwork at the bottom of p94?
transform75
Hi all.
Will arm microns Airachnid will come with 2 rotors? and can you detach the rotor from the hasbro one?

That's Ginza Prime, one of the fourteen mascot characters created for the Cybertron Satellite promotion. If anyone could translate that bit, I'd be grateful, as something seems to be going on there!

I'm pretty sure that that trailer is cardboard. Look at the back wheels.

Edit: Beat to the punch.

Why does the Takara Airachnid have 6 legs and not the three I have always seen?

Do her legs break/rotors break apart and no one has doen this yet or is there somethign new going on in that pic?

They got a second set of rotors to put it on her. I've seen it done on the boards here.

Those volume 2 capsule Microns looks sooo darn good! Can't wait to get a set to give to TFP Deluxe Megatron and FE Bulkhead!

This exactly.
MidnightBliss
I'll bet they used the space that would have been used for the "batteries" for the extra capacity to hold more tapes.
autotronprime
Did I miss something? Is one of the new masterpieces (soundwave?) coming with a new mold megatron gun?

I know scale isn't really a viable thing, but MP Sideswipe in vehicle mode looks HUGE next to Prime's.
Astronut
I'm not sure I like the light blue on Soundwave. hmmmm
SMOG
Looking at Sideswipe, I have to say... he looks more and more like just an extremely nice Deluxe figure. Those don't look like rubber tires either. Oh well.

Hope Hasbro sells these cheaper than Takara.

I'm already waiting for Reprolabels to do their MP-12 set. He looks really bland in bot mode. (they seem to have sculpted in many of his "sticker" details, but left them uncolored)

The crazy thing is looking at G1 toon footage, he isn't that detailed, so this deco fits in that regard IMHO.

Still, I agree about it being a tad on the bland side.

Also, he feels like more than a deluxe - maybe a really great modern voyager.

Yep, Sideswipe looks gorgeous but no more than a deluxe - will still buy it though. It is an accurate Countach and the best Sideswipe yet. You're right about the wheels, they look plastic with those notches all the way round. I'm hoping that they are that way on the prototype and actually rubber on the real thing. After all Alternity managed it.
Timesynch
My body is ready for all of these new MPs. Bring it.

True, but the sculpting details are pure G1 toy, not G1 toon. Knees, waist, etc.

His backpack now stores his head, and probably some of the mechanisms for his chest compartment.

The CAD render there is actually mistransformed, though (or an earlier revision). From the prototype samples that we've seen so far, there's a hinged panel on the backs of his shoulders that covers the tops of the batteries, so there is a contact. Pity that there's nothing covering them from the back.

They did make the most of it by having his shoulder gun be permanently attached, though. It hinges and swivels into place, rather than having to be removed.

I'm perfectly fine with Sideswipe's size and will happily pay inflated MP prices for that level of detail & accuracy. My big problem with the figure, though, is the apparent inability to store his weapons in alt mode. Seeing them attached to the roof like that looks beyond retarded.

Also never realized Soundwave's weapons/batteries were visible in alt mode until now. Not a total deal breaker, but a bit of a letdown considering their dual usage was one of the key aspects I always loved about Soundwave.

I just cannot belive we are finally getting a mp Soundwave. All i really want now is a mp Galvatron and a MP Ultra Magnus and ill be set.As far the G1 cars goes im glad Takara decided to make them but they should have taken care of all the leaders before anything else.

Given that they're all coming out at the same time, it seems more that Takara is looking to expand the lineup more rapidly, by releasing a series of smaller, cheaper releases alongside one or two "big ticket" releases. That way they don't spread the market too thin rapid-firing out big, $150+ releases.

Same general market strategy Bandai's currently applying to their Chogokin releases. Maybe one or two big Soul of Chogokin releases in the year, but then a handful of the cheaper Super Robot Chogokin figures in the same timeframe.

I mean, over the course of this year, we'll have had MP-11 Starscream, MP-12 Lambor, MP-13 Soundwave, and MP-14 Alert. And not too long before that, we had MP-10 Convoy. In years past, it might have been up to a year and a half between just two separate releases.

So are those rubber tires or just plastic? It seem rubber to me.
strangeguy32000
Oh hey, Airachnid doesn't look like a Piece of Shit in that picture... Red Breakdown? Dafuq?
Bee-Hicon. Sa-haweet.

Seems like Takara version of Airachnid can be transform into Spider.

I think it's rubber too. In that large close up robot form, the wheel at his lower leg seem to be only the inner rim of the wheel which is plastic, no thickness of rubber. But when looking at his car mode and smaller robot pic, the wheels seem to be rubber.
Stepper
Moreover we are talking about MP series, hopefully they are of rubber tires than plastic.
