i kinda see broadside too... but i almost hope it's not...if we had to a have a 1 alt-mode only triple changer i'd prefer broadside as a ship than a plane.

If it's a cyclops (I'm not seeing it though), it's probably Whirl.

Looks like it could be Whirl if you were to ask me. Of course Whirl is usually a helicopter so that rules my theory out. Of course I thought if Hasbro was to make Broadside in the Classics/Generations line it would be a retool of Armada Tidal Wave.

Hopefully it's not supposed to be Shockwave, but that would explain why the US Lugnut isn't purple.

We saw the head at BotCon 2010, but they didn't know who it was going to be then.

i have absolutely NO clue who that new head might be. i could see whirl, although i still think the blackout mold makes for a better whirl *no offense lugnut *

Well i tried to digibash this guy but it really didnt work out well this guys head has so many lines its really intresting he seems to have both a pair of normal eyes and mono eye which makes me wonder

Does this figure have the face switching gimmick of animated shocwave

This is a difficult one it must be said

The mold just doesn't scream Broadside to me. Shockwave would make sense, but I would think Hasbro would want to do a brand new mold for a character making his debut in TF3.

Can anyone think of any other Cyclopean Transformers that have a WWII-ish Bomber alt or similar?

I'm hoping they use Tomahawk for Whirl (and Blades), not Lugnut.

I'm enjoying the hell out of it so far. It's almost like a treasure hunt.

The plane is a bit similar and the face is similar too.

Another one of those new sculpted heads we saw at Botcon this year and I'm still not sure who it could be. I'm hoping for Whirl but whoever it is the new sculpt looks cool.

The lugnut body would work for terradive. It absolutely would not for whirl. Whirl is a helicopter. So whoever said that probably was focused on the head a bit much.

I...Really have no idea who the hell that is. Definately not Shockwave, it would at least have earfins then. That, and it looks like he has three optics; the big central round one, and two more small ones that are slits.

Why does this have to be an homage? Looks like a new character to me. Kind of like Tomahawk, Hailstorm and Terradive have been.

Pet peeve: can we stop calling Lugnut a WWII bomber now? He's clearly a jet bomber.

It's been happening so often lately, I honestly think it's "Easter eggs" that Hasbro is purposefully doing for the fans.

As far as who it could be, my first instinct said Jhiaxus but I'm really not sure now. Either way I'm quite interested to see what colour scheme they'll use.

I don't think anything is actually wrong. This is happening so regularly that there's just no way this is simply "slipping by" everyone who has to approve the instructions throughout the process leading up to printing. I'm quite sure by now that they are doing this on purpose.

I think this is going to be a new character rather than a homage. the suggestion made are fine but i feel the body attached to the head doesn't work well enough for any.

only thing that comes to me is a new Stratosphere as the body shape fits even if the head it a bit off from the ROTF figure. and this line is movie aesthetic to a degree not a full on movie line.

Even though her previous one mold was a six wheeled tank/Vehicon, mt vote is for Stryka, that mold is spot on body-wise.

Yeah. Besides, they already HAVE a Terradive out currently. I don't see them reusing the name quite that immediately.

I reckon you might be on to something there...could be a relatively cheap way for the big H to get another 'G2 Insertnamehere' on the shelves.

If Broadside, I'm so not interested. IIRC FP is putting out a Broadside and that's where my money will go.

I don't think it's one eye, it's the opening on his helmet. He's like Pretender Cloudburst's outer shell with the helmet on!

The overall shape kinda cries out Omega Supreme to me, but I'm not so sure with the head. It'll be interesting to see the final results for this one.

Terradive and Ransack both fit ok. I can also see it as Dreadwing, BB, RiD Dreadwind, or Gigant Bomb.
