Just a 6/10? Ouch. Seems kind of harsh. From what I've seen (and now heard), I think the biggest disappointment is no car flight mode. Other than that, I think he looks great. Not sure what else there is to complain about.

EDIT: I don't understand all the fuss about the "backpack." I think it's a nice nod to the original figure. It has a very similar feature.

he looks like an overall good transformer, but i don't think i'll be getting him since they didn't give him a corvette vehicle form.

Great looking Figure. Got Him and Jazz Pre-Ordered from Red Leader's Emporium of Plastic Crack today.

Hopefully a little rubbing alcohol and a spot of Reprolabel magic can sort those fugly flames...

I hope too, I'd prefer a more "normal" flame design, will have to see what Takara do with him!

All right, he's firmly on the want list. I prefer the original hood flames, but I don't really care. That goes for flying car mode as well.

I miss his longer G1 Sniper Rifle. Maybe I'll make him trade with Blurr.
Also, I miss his Faceplate. But I guess having a cartoon accurate Tracks is better than no Tracks at all.

Im so getting this one... but does it look like he is wearing a turtle shell on his back? I mean its that or hes seriously got some junk in that trunk.

Wings are too short, car mode looks nothing like a corvette, robot mode sucks (especially his chest and his feet).

If it was only about the flames that I don't like either. Than there would be hope the Takara version would look better (where I was hoping for a red version of him). But a better paint job will not help it for me

So, can you tell if he can be done up with the legs reversed if they do go the Wheeljack remold route with him? Because that shoo of the back sure makes it look like he can have "bonnet/hood shins"

Really impressed, the only thing I'm not feeling is the way the shoulder wheels are just kind of "hanging" out there - looks a little kibbly/sloppy. And yeah, the flames are terrible.

Nice review. It's a shame he doesn't have a flight mode, but that's a minor quibble. Overall, the figure looks pretty cool.

Y'know....from the back...he reminds me a bit of WFC Silverbolt. Only a bit more...um.....wide.

I for one think he is an excellent update for what Hasbro has been able to put into him. He's got the right colors, the weapondry is top-notch, all the visual cues in robot mode are there, I think he's just a good looking figure. The only problems I still have with the figure are the flame deco and the feet, but Reprolabels will undoubtedly make a set to fix the flames and as long as the feet are that good at poseability I'm not complaining.

It looks like his feet are attached to the front hood parts on the same ankle/support so they should be just as poseable as his feet, both parts look to also be on ball-joints off that support. Also the waist, I assume, must rotate for the transformation to work. So all thats left would be the knees, so if they can reverse the thighs for the knee joints to bend the right way and then remove Tracks' knee pads to allow clearance then it should work just fine.

I'm pretty sure I've seen at least one pic where his pelvis looked like it was below the windshield so I'm hoping that is still a mistransformation for these pics.

Yeah, that is probably the biggest downer about him. The only negative IMO. Could a 3rd party group work on this? Maybe. I still think the wings would be off in car mode (if they use the same missile attachment area).

I dunno what all the complaining's about. He looks just like G1 Tracks in bot mode but with more articulation. That's all I care about.

So, with Wheeljack in mind... some thoughts on the retooling of Tracks:

1) There's definitely a panel on the trunk/boot where a spoiler attaches (similar to the skyroof panel for Ironhide/Ratchet, Prowl/Bluestreak, etc) which will probably be styled to match the G1 look. Obviously there will be a new head, I do think it would be neat to have light-piping glow-ears in blue.
2) Keeping the wings undeployed (if Hasbro doesn't remove them outright), the design resembles the E.J.Su/IDW design, where they used the doors to emulate the G1 "wings." I wonder if they'll have new rockets for WJ.
3) The wheels look like they can rest facing out to the sides, better emulating the original G1 design. We saw this in previous in-hand photos due to mistransformation.
4) The legs absolutely rotate, and gives us the hood-shins and fender-feet of the original. The knees bend both ways, but the knee-guard might interfere. I wonder if Hasbro has intentions of remolding that to allow the different transformation? I doubt it, it's not an area Hasbro usually retools. Oh well, that's what x-acto knives are for, right?

I dig him already. So he doesn't have a flight mode thats cool, some people already had the idea of the third party thing doing that and thats great. Now IMHO I like the tribal flame job its different, creative, and kinda badass. Still he's on the want list and I'm cool with that thanks Red Leader for the review.

I love Tracks, so I had very high hopes for this toy... and... well...

The lack of flying-car mode kills me... I'm so disappointed.
The chest still looks odd to me. I think I can get over that though.
The hood will be repro-labeled (just like the alternator Tracks) but I don't absolutely hate it as is.

Overall I feel this toy could have been better, but probably not at its price-point.

Looks cool, too bad there's no (silly) flight mode though.

Ah no one asked you Decipti bum I think it's ace's I'll be picking him up and if they remold him to Wheeljack I'll get that as well.
