Toys'R'Us Exclusive Powercore Combiner Bundles - Surprise, Fans Still Not Happy

Thanks to Internet Personality Vangelus, also the host of the WTF@TFW Podcast, not to mention Canada's True Savior, has discovered an auction on Ebay for upcoming Powercore Combiner Bundle packs, which include a 5-pack set along with a regular scout and Mini-Con figure set. The set is being sold by ebay seller rjacks25.

This is great news for those of you who have yet to experience the most amazing feeling ever by opening one of these sets, combining the incredible figure with the incredible drones, and then tormenting members of your family as if you've been posessed by Transformer demons.

Others, however, still feel the need to express their discontent with Hasbro for making these figures. Even though the box clearly states, "INCREDIBLE VALUE!", it seems as if Hasbro is going to have to make a huge marketing push to get collectors to step outside of their comfort zone!

There is no information on release dates, if there are other sets besides the Skyburst with Aerialbots and Searchlight set, or if your reputation as a Transformers fan is ruined with each purchase.

I'm really into the idea conceptually, especially if it involves giving you the 'other' Aerialbot torso.

As Anguirus said, this is like offering the whole PCC gimmick in one shot.

I mean I'm not as into it as I could be since I already got them, but it's a good sentiment, haha

The concept is fine, I guess. But the actual figures just aren't very impressive to me. So, no I won't be purchasing any of the designs we've seen so far- and unless there's an enormous jump in quality/design down the line, i don't see myself ever buying any of them.

Well, I've seen some PCC in person... and I wasn't impressed at all. Sure they might be fun toys to play with... but I don't play with my toys.

It's great that some fans really like them, because I don't want to see any TF line out right fail. Much like the ROTF line, these just aren't for me.

As far as the item goes, hopefully it brings a few more people into the PCC realm. They arn't for me, and not exactly flying off the shelves around here and they are stocked at most of the chains except one of the Walmarts near me.

Still not compelled by the first waves of PCC's. However, I'm really looking forward to the Dinobots! That kind of "Creature" PCC appeals to me more for some reason, probably because each drone has a bot mode of some kind. I'd love to see a Terrorcon, Seacon, or Predaking homage.

I am enthused to be honest but I dunno if its just stress or other life issues but my enthusiasm is waning right now on the TF hobby. I want the Gens but this part is kinda meh right now.

It looks like a good deal though.

You are implying in the title page text that Collectors hate these for the concept - actually I know quite few people who were happy to give them a chance, but the actual experience of owning some put them off much interest in further ones.

A lot of people have stated that they can only get the drone limbs to stay on Huffer and in many other cases they just spring right off or don't fully deploy (such as the jet drone leg).

So personally I liked the Energon Autobot Gimic but that seemed better implemented than the Powercore Combiner concept - not just because of the concept but simply down to product quality issues as simple as the limbs often won't stay on the core bodies properly.

If you'd payed £20.00+ / $20.00+ for a toy and the arms and legs just fall off you'd not be very happy - especially when the spring gimic knackers the effective articulation of the toys so much too.

I already have everyone in the set, but for those who haven't this is a great way to increase PCC play value right off the bat. One commander is cool to mess with the drones but 2 or more is way cooler.

Seriously, if these become mass release, and some different bots get thrown in as the freebie, then I will be snapping them up. I'm still not that keen on PCC from what I've seen, with the exception of the Dinobots and Rallybots, but incredible value is incredible value and not to be sniffed at

I'm disatisfied with the PCC combiners because the figures LOOK cheap. and I'm using cheap in the correct way, denoting poor qaulity and or craftsmanship. just like the other movie toys it looks like a lack of qaulity plastic and a rushed mold time. fansproject unofficial items seem to boast a better grade then Movie/PCC figures.....

though I do admit I'll probably set all that aside for Dinoking.
