So re-releases of the classics BB and Megatron without chrome.

It's probably a Henkei rerelease.

Drift and straxus look the same as the genrations ones. I must say the classics bumblebee repaint in the shiny gold looks intresting it would be awesome if someone could make a goldbug head for him. Also whats up with that megatron he looks like he has less paint applications than before

Well then, if it's a rerelease, then WHY use the inferior Prime mold, when everyone wants Henkei Prime!?

However, as I said in an earlier thread, if the Deluxe mold has had some modifications to make it more stable in Alt Mode, then I might give it a chance...

I guess this makes a re-release of Roddy, and release of Magnus seem fairly likely?

I'll pick up Soundwave since that metallic paint looks great compared to the Hasbro release. On the fence about the Cybertron mode Megatron and Optimus. The rest, probably pass unless I see them while in a splurging mood.

yup.... not saying i wont get them. but they're certainly not going to be a priority. they look the same aside from the paint, what happened to more detail, etc?

Well, this is boring. Just the same basic decos with a Japanese Animated style coat of shiny paint.

It has less paint and no chrome.

That awful Deluxe G1 Prime mold is back.

The WFC United line looks balls-out. I'm squinting to try to differentiate Drift and Straxus from what's on the Wal-Mart shelves.

Is Drift more ivory than white or is that just the picture?

Didn't Voyager Henkei Prime get a re-release this summer?

I think only the Hasbro Generations line has limited to Deluxe class. Takara's Transformers United line may include Voyagers also.

Although, I thought we were going to be treated to Generations Grapple as a Classics Inferno repaint/retool, so is that a jump to the Generations line for voyager class or maybe he is then part of the HFTD line.

Curious, Takara is re-releasing Optimus Prime, Megatron and Bumblebee sans chrome. I'd much rather see them release Classics Cliffjumper with that WFC head. Make it happen!

Looks like a lot of shiny paint. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

I'm liking Bumblebee, and a 2nd opportunity to pick up the Megatron mould in less lurid colours is more than welcome (and yay, no random chrome!). The rest? Not really thrilled about. It's good to get a WfC Cliffjumper pic at last, but I'm struggling to see any differences on Drift. I'd rather see a (potential) United Tracks to see if he has G1-styled flames.

The shiny paint looks good on the WFC figures, seeing they have that gloss in the game.

Gonna see if I can pick up Voyager Megs in person @ Toy Tokyo. I saw the initial release in there once and didn't buy it like a schmuck.

It's Henkei Megatron sans the chrome. I think I might like this better than the original release. I was never big on the chrome chest piece. And the faction symbols on the chest and fusion cannon...they didn't use the same shade of purple.

But these "High Quality" photos are never a good indicator because they always have that airbrushed look to them. They look more like packaging art than anything.

I'm finally going to be able to get a classics megatron and bumblebee, sweet they will be pre-ordered as soon as i see something up. Though i have to say straxus and drift i can live with the US releases. Cliff i like the head but wasn't a fan of the mold so maybe i'll pick up the us one to use the head on a custom classics cliffjumper

May pick up the Henkei re-release of Megs since I missed the first one, otherwise rest I have or can wait for the Hasbro versions. Kinda thought Deluxe Prime , had a different head, but doesn't seem to be the case here.

A bit dissapointing that the 3 unknowns re just redecos of old molds, but money saved. Looks like they're going the Animated-o route with these guys colors. CJ's head could look better, but I'll still get it when the US version comes out. And I LOVE that WFC Megatron's colors.

That's kind of disappointing. The only one that looks decent is the shiny Bumblebee. Everything else looks too similar to the Hasbro release. =/

Eehh..WFC Cliffjumper's head is a bit weird..a bit narrow. At first I thought the image was scaled unproportionally...Won't stop me from getting him (/Hasbo version). For some reason I've developed a weakness for Cliffjumpers.

The shiny paint on the Megatron (classics mold) looks awesome. I'm glad I held off on paying for a Henkei. This will be a no-brainer purchase for me (along with most of the rest of them, actually).

Good that Henkei Megs is out again - I might even like this paint scheme better than the first time round.

I think that its absolute BS that Japan and the whole Asian market continues to get reissues of the first line of the classics while the US and UK markets get squat. I wish that Hasbro would stop doing stupid repaints of the god forsaken movie bumblebee molds and reissue some worthwhile molds like Classics Voyager Prime, Classics BB, Classics Hot Rod and Classics Devastator.

Oh god why??? that cliff jumper looks great.. those paint apps look so good on the takara stuff... Why must they tempt me so.

I really have hated all the WFC molds, but for some reason that mold works for Cliffjumper in a way that it never did for Bumblebee to me.

Really? Terrible idea why release toy that were available just a couple years ago. I am all for reissues but I want stuff from 15+ years ago not something from 2008. Plus they will just clutter the shelves, I want the new stuff.

Non-chromed Voyager Megatron looks like the best version of the mold yet. It could use a bit more paint though, like on the chest and the apparently unpainted symbol on the fusion cannon. Since they are using the 2-pack Optimus mold for this line, anyone think the Voyager version might finally be released as Ultra Magnus over there soon?

Pointlessly shiny paint=/=any better than the Hasbro versions. In all honesty, it makes them look worse. This current trend of Takara's is, imo, pretty funny.

With the non WFC listings turning out to be these Classics repaints, it makes me think that the Walmart listings for another Prime and Bee in Generations are something different. Though if they aren't, oh well, all that means is there's two less figures I need to get.

Disappointing to see that the three unknowns are just re-releases from Henkei/Classics. I've got BB, Megs and Prime so those are pass for me. It does have me wondering though... will the two Generations listings for a deluxe BB & Prime be the same (classics reissues) or will they be different... or at the very least repaints of those molds. I'm thinking this way because it's rather uncommon for Hasbro to simply reissue the same figure without repainting it somehow unless it's a store exclusive and there's no evidence to show that the Generations listings would be store exclusives. Oh well, money saved I guess. Shame... I was kind of hoping for a new deluxe Prime mold in an earth form. Guess I'll have to wait and see if they do one for TFrime now.

I think either a top executive's child designed that classics deluxe Prime mold or they're being paid to continue using it. I never understood all the hate until I had the HoC clear Prime in my hands. Just atrocious, horrible design compared to all the other awesome TFs out there. No excuse any more Takara!
