Was that too fast for you (or maybe just too hard to read)? Well those sentences were based on IDWs portrayal of Blurr and is fitting because Generations Blurr is also based on IDWs ideas of Blurr. Now we are getting a nice look at this remold of Generations Drift with a new head, different weapons, and a smaller spoiler.

Exchanging guns for blades, Blurr will come with two pistols and a much larger rifle. Even with the new armaments, the Pistols will fit into the hip holsters that Drifts cleaver blades fit into originally and his rifle will still side nicely on his back (like that giant sword of Drifts) and fit under him in vehicle mode.

Blurr will become available with Dirge when Wave 4 of Generations is released. But for now, enjoy the images!

Was on KOToys and found this ! He looks sweeet !

Nothing about that sculpt screams 'Blurr' to me.
Autobot Burnout
That's looking really nice, love the guns and the fact the mold looks better in different colors and without that spoiler. But the head just seems funky to me. I might get this toy simply to have that giant sniper rifle, but that simply does not look like Blurr.

Although with a little modification, maybe I could make him into this guy:

SPLIT LIP
Looks like Blurr to me.

Well, IDW's Blurr design.

I think the fact he's based on IDW Blurr doesn't help that.
foxfan352
It's cool that they replace the swords with guns but I was hoping that we would get a shield or something.

I agree, he looks awesome, but if he's supposed to be Blurr, they didn't do so hot...
Triggerhappy
nice guns, very cool sniper!
but I see Blurr as being sleek and speedy like his G1 or Animated version, this feels a bit bulky
Powersa
Bot mode looks not bad. Car mode is okay, kinda boring but fits the G1 color. the big gun is pure win.
Angelwave
I love pic 8....LOVE IT!

Definitely came as closed as possible to IDW Blurr.
Megatronwp38
I still think Animated Blurr is more of an Update to G1 blurr then this is. Nothing about this looks like Blurr to me. I've never read the IDW books or seen them.

I just looked up pics of the IDW Blurr on google, This does look similar to that Blurr.
Cast
I get the feeling we are going to see the mould a 3rd time with the drift spoiler and head but blurrs guns as dreadlock in black and purple.

Not as bad as blurr as I would have thought, it actually looks quite fast but not exactly sleek, guns remind me of blurr in the TF movie.
Dran0n
That Blurr is pretty goofy tits.

That thing is a mass of kibble with a giant gun! Blurr is supposed to be sleek, and fast looking.

That thing doesn't look like it can move.

Well, he's got the head vents and top-mounted doohickey of G1 Blurr, and the upswept pattern of Animated Blurr. It looks more like G1 Blurr than Animated Blurr does, and manages to be an pretty good match for the recent comics while still being a retool of Drift.

And we weren't going to get this character as an original mold, considering that we got Animated Blurr and he's not uber-high on the popularity list like Jazz.

Frankly, I like the head better than the G1 Blurr head, and the Drift mold is very posable. I also like the fact that he has an Earth mode and it looks a little different from Drift's. So yeah, thinking I'm going to get him.

Just think of it as "non-Cybertronic Blurr."
Ra88
Definately going to pick this one up. I always liked the IDW design.

So do I. And this does capture alot of IDW Blurr. I mean, it is Drift's mold, yeah, but IDW Blurr's design does borrow some cues from Drift.

Leave the screaming to the wife/girlfriends and why do they have to yell to get you to do something. Sorry bad humor

I think it's fine for what it is a repaint, and with the possibility of us not getting a generations Blurr I will gladly take this and display it with Hot Rod.
Ktulu
Better with a blue torso?

Discuss.
Creaky
Excellent, glad to have my pre-order in.

For the record, those pictures are horribly posed. That shoulder kibble is wonderfully movable, and can look extremely sleek if so desired.

Not a fan of the giant rifle, reckon I'll be using my Blurr as a gunslinger.
GogDog
I got my complaints with IDW, but IDW Blurr > G1 Blurr, design wise.

That looks excellent! The Drift mold is definitely sleeker in hand than in pictures, and is very poseable, so that isn't really as much as an issue as the pictures might make it seem like. I just bought Spotlight: Drift, too, and saw the IDW version of Blurr in that and this headsculpt matches that one very closely. Plus I love the sniper rifle + dual pistols. If my brother doesn't get this, I'll gladly buy one for myself.
MrSoundwaveGuy
I'm starting to really like this guy. At first I didn't care for how it was modeled after the IDW design but it's really growing on me now.
simplygriff
The huge gun looks a little goofy when it's stowed away on his back but otherwise, he's pretty awesome. Looked a lot better in person at BotCon than he does in those pics too.

Thundercrackah
Loving the headsculpt and indeed the whole figure.

I'm so glad they did something different for once and went with the IDW head rather than just a G1 toon head.

Do you care to clarify this? It looks somewhat like you are entering a thread in order to elicit a hostile response, i.e. by creating two "sides" out of whole cloth and snottily insulting every fan whom you've decided is a member of one "side."

I'm probably just misinterpreting you however.
eriku
That looks really nice. Doesn't look anything like the Blurr I'm familiar with, though.
Hiraga
I didn't know he was a redeco of Drift...
I'll be picking him up regardless however.
Smokescreen
Looks fantastic IMO. The addition of a new head sculpt and guns, instead of swords, really makes this figure stand apart from Drift. Will buy on sight.

Oh there's a few very good toys in the "CHUG" lines, but plenty of them are pretty unremarkable, and would NOT get the love they do if they were not directly connected with G1.
Optimus Vader
I like the Blurr version of this better than the Drift. I'm glad he comes with a gun too. The sword thing is getting a little old.

You're probably right, but they are. If you don't like them then don't buy them. Congrats on your independence.
Tiller
I didn't realize he lacked the spoiler as well.

I guess he's different enough to justify another purchase with those guns and his head. Though Drift has a better deco.

Wow. Those pictures do NOT do that figure justice. Wait to see it in person or at least decently posed, guys.

Even so, these pictures are the last straw. I am so totally going to have to buy three of this guy.
IACON
Blurr was never my favorite character and I can't say that I'll get this figure from generations.
prime13
Definite buy.

Well, yeah.

Is it really any surprise that people get excited about characters they remember and have connections to? Far more interesting to have a decent toy that resembles an incarnation of G1 blurr (And I maintain that the Drift figure is one of the best deluxes we've ever gotten, speaking as a posability junkie), than a random new guy that we'll all forget about in a few months, regardless of it's quality.

Maybe it would help if the toys that 'CHUG' (hate that term lol) was competing against had... I don't know... any characterisation at all. I mean, Animated is gone, so there's nothing really there anymore bar an occasional super-popular release. So all that's left against them is movie toys, which whilst well made toys and a great aesthetic (although i know many disagree with that), have virtually no character. I mean, even optimus has had, what? a few dozen lines? Speaking personally, I have little connection with that character, so his toy (however good it may be) is going to play second fiddle to a decent re-imagining of a character I've known for 20+ years.

I hope that makes sense, and in case I came across funny, I'm not trying to be snarky or anything. I'm just trying to explain my perspective, and you're fully entitled to your own.
Mechafire
Beautiful. Love the sniper rifle.
guard convoy
that ting is sexy, it takes the best deluxe mold we ever got (Drift) and makes it awesomer, man i can not wait to get that

IDW BLURR FOR THE WIN!
Bumblethumper
I don't think this looks as good as it should, but Blur was never a big deal to me, so I'm not hugely upset about it.

Anyway, this is just the earth version. I suppose if Classics lasts in some form for another couple years, they may yet have an opportunity to do a super sleek Cybertronian version of Blurr as an original mold.

sorry, Drift most definitely is not the best deluxe mold we ever got. It just isn't.
Batman
I canceled my pre order on Blurr since I am not a very big fan of the mold.
Crobot91
I like the Cybertron version of Blurr more.

I'm not sure how you explain the love for Drift then...he's directly connected with G1 circa the late 2000s.

CHUG is my favorite meta-line (the movie lines being a close second) but I don't buy ones that don't satisfy me. I mean, I'll grant you that I bought Galvatron for his character and not his mold, but I'd be amazed if this was not a rather typical action for a Transformers fan. Character matters.

Sorry, I mean, I haven't an independent thought in my head really.

Same here

If I do buy it I'm calling it bluestreak
Tiller
I like the head sculpt/guns and design without the spoiler, but I dislike the use of colors.

This beats out any other Blurr mold other than Animated. The G1 design was pretty ass, and Armada was a kibble brick.
Grimlock_13
Looking forward to it. Sure it's not 100000000% Geewun Blurr but you can tell who it's supposed to be. About time Blurr got a decent earth mode too.

It doesn't hurt the mold is fantastic, either.

Edit: And agreed, those poses in the pics aren't good at all. The shoulder articulation is MUCH better than converyed there.
