30 Years of Transformers in 30 Days - 2010

Posted on 05-04-2014 at 12:00 PM by Sol Fury under Transformers Generations Classics 3.0
2010 As Transformers entered its 26th year, a new continuity dawned. Dubbed “the Aligned Continuity”, it was a multi-media reboot of the franchise comprising the novel Transformers Exodus, the video game Transformers War for Cybertron, and the new fully CGI animated cartoon series Transformers Prime. The toyline transitioned from toys based on Revenge of the Fallen to a newly rebranded “Transformers” line, commonly referred to as Hunt for the Decepticons. Combiners got a whole line dedicated to them – sort of – with Power Core Combiners, and Classics returned for a third outing with the Transformers Generations line. IDW’s Transformers comics continued, with two very important miniseries released alongside the ongoing comic – Last Stand of the Wreckers by Nick Roche and James Roberts, and the movie continuity based miniseries Transformers: Sector Seven by John Barber.

Generations Skrapnel and Reflector - In Hand Images!

Posted on 04-08-2014 at 04:31 AM by Superquad7 under Transformers Generations Classics 3.0
Skrapnel-Reflector-Legends-01 TFW2005.COM member Acesan dropped by to show us some in hand images of the recently-released Generations Skrapnel and Reflector! These images give us many angles of these figures, as well as a comparison with the original Generation One Shrapnel, showing us that these figures are very similar in size. Also, Skrapnel is very faithful in comparison with its G1 counterpart, and (as member Jalaguy notes) the Reflector weapon accessory transforms into a gun that looks very reminiscent of the original grenade launcher!

With these figures now showing up in the Philippines, will a US release be far behind? Let's hope not!

Be sure to check the images mirrored here after the jump!

Possible First Look at Generations Arcee?

Posted on 03-12-2014 at 11:48 PM by ORIO under Transformers Generations Classics 3.0
Arcee-comic Earlier today, Transformers More Than Meets The Eye issue #27 was released. Part 10 of the crossover storyline, Dark Cybertron, may have provided us with our first taste at an upcoming Transformer toy release from Hasbro via fantastic artwork from Alex Milne. Long time fan favorite and female Autobot Arcee debuted a new body in this issue. Her new look is strongly reminiscent of her Generation 1 body, but with a more updated feel and a darker shade of pink/almost red. Is this an indicator of the toy we'll be seeing in wave 5 this year along with Chromia? Not necessarily. But, with the way IDW's Dark Cybertron has been working in characters with toys either on the shelves or about to be released, it could be the real deal.

Take it with a huge grain of salt at the moment, but feel free to have fun and speculate on the 2005 Boards.
