Official Image of Generations Blurr and Dirge

Entertainment Earth has added an image to their order for Generations Wave 4, which includes Dirge and Blurr! The image showcases the official photography for Blurr, who is based on IDW's version of the character and is a remold of Drift with new weapons and a new head, and Dirge, who is a reuse of the Transformers Henkei Dirge mold. They will be released two each per case of eight, with the remaining slots filled out by one each of Red Alert and War for Cybertron Optimus Prime, Megatron and Soundwave, all of whom are due for release in earlier waves of Generations.

I think it works. Breaks up what would otherwise be a whole lot of blue, and lends him a rally car look which works well with his "racer" personality.

Good, three of the four WfC figures are in this wave, so I don't have to worry about getting them as much.

And dang it all if Blurr doesn't look awesome, even if those pictures make the light blue seem all too familiar to another shade of light blue known by another name. I really need to track down a Drift soon, because so far it doesn't look like he'll be rereleased in later Generations waves.

Yeah, sold on Blurr and Dirge (I like the more show accurate wings on this release compared to my Botcon one...). Definently have to agree that the white works to help break up the blue and the way it was done in an almost rally car fashion does work well for the character. Hasbro and Takara are sure getting a lot of my money this year... unlike last year...

Both look very nice, although I would have preferred they used Classics Ramjet's missiles for Dirge, since they're closer to Dirge's G1 weapons than Starscream's missiles. Love the guns on Blurr, although I'm hoping the big one isn't rubbery like Drift-chan's huge sword.

It's not white, its a very very light blue or teal color.. Looks AWESOME! can not wait to get all of these, just hope they are not as hard to get as the Drift and Thrust, i still can not find them anyplace.

I love Blurr. Tho the choice of the weapons is..weird. Snipers are calm people. Blurr is not really a calm bot.

Yeah, when I saw him in person at Botcon it was just a lighter blue. Might be the photography EE's done.

part of wave 2 = megatron,red alert (dont want all the good stuff in 1 wave)
part of wave 3 = soundwave,dirge,blurr

i hope megs weapon will be interchangable

Yikes, that sudden addition of white does NOT work out well for Blurr. Still picking him up. Dirge too. Hell, all these dudes except for possibly Red Alert. Lot of mistransformation going on in these pics, the only one i don't see any mistransformation on is Red Alert.

Definitely wanting Dirge and Soundwave. Not sure on Blurr or Megatron - as much as I love the Drift mould, I'm not sure I like it in those colours (I think they only work on a non "real world-ish" car), and Megatron's non-descript alt mode is a bit of a question mark for me.

Already have WfC Optimus and Henkei Alert, so not fussed on getting either from wave 2

Well, that picture certainly didn't change my opinion of Blurr. In fact, if anything I'm liking him even less. I was hoping the alt mode would be the only thing I didn't like about him, but now seeing a good shot of the bot mode, he just...doesn't look like Blurr to me. Dirge and the others are looking awesome though.

Everything in that photo, bought, save for Prime which I already own.

I keep thinking black instead of that white on Blurr would have been better, but even still, it's just awesome.

Soundwave is a must buy.

And just because we got some non-Henkei/was a Henkei love, Dirge and Red Alert are fantastic.

I'm pleased that Blurr's colours are different enough from Boss's slightly darker & duller light blue that we could potentially get a Boss repaint with new head either as a Botcon exclusive or at retail, in the future. I still wish Blurr had a head based on his G1 toy / cartoon head though.
