The hunt begins, yet again! Thanks to TFW2005 Boards members Dudicus (who might be big, bad, and/or battlin’) and ssg4life, we now have retail sightings of the long awaited 7th wave of Generations Deluxes (Or Wave 3 of the IDW Comic Pack-In Deluxes, depending on how you see it) at retail in the United States in both Washington and Colorado. This wave features Goldfire (aka Goldbug), Waspinator, Skids and Generation 2 Dreadwing.
Have any sightings you’d like to share with your fellow fans? Swing on by TFW2005’s Sightings Subforum to share some of the love, as well as check out what may be in your area.
Want to check out some nice photos of this wave? Check out TFW2005’s Galleries! Galleries for Goldfire, Waspinator and Dreadwing are currently live (with Skids coming soon) so click the links and check them out.

Thanks. I'll try it. The other code I had was another generic one

087-06-1890 is the DPCI but, its a generic number for Generations. It won't guarantee that wave is in stock.

Anyone have bar codes or upc's for this wave?

Plus he's no longer a "bug", so…

Check the New Mexico sightings thread. When they pop up, we'll all be talking about them.

There are no "release dates" per se. Now I'm sure Hasbro corporate has a shipping schedule and a factory production schedule and all that, but really the websites like BBTS have estimates and those are about as good as you're going to get.
skizzo81
is there somewhere I can get actual release dates? I have not been able to find these 4 toys anywhere in Abuquerque NM. I checked every walmart, target, toys'r'us. help me. I am headed to detroit from Albuquerque next week. if anyone lives off of the i40 or i44 or i94, I could use help finding these.
Autobot Burnout
Might be Hasbro using the name simply to protect the copyright on Goldfire. The last (and IIRC only) use of it was as a prefix for the unreleased 'Goldfire Grimlock' in the Animated line.
As far as I can tell, the last time there were Busytown toys (of which Goldbug is a significantly minor presence) was back in the mid 1970's and produced by Playskool, which is a Hasbro subsidiary.
Of course, considering the character this specific toy is representing, who is NOT Goldbug (he's an entirely seperate character from Bumblebee in the IDW continuity), Goldfire makes a little more sense for basically a rebuilt Bumblebee.
NotRamjet97
In some Richard Scarry books and cartoons there's a character named Goldbug, might have something to do with it.
Rodimus Prime
Goldfire is supposed to be Goldbug, I take it? How do you lose the name to something like Goldbug?
BurningHeat
Do any online retailers actually have these guys in stock yet? I was going to wait on Amazon or HTS, but prices look about the same I'd pay at TFSource and BBTS.

This. If anything, they're starting to go down. ($9.96 @ Walmart)

Fuuuuuuuuuu–
Let the hunt begin!

Deluxes have been $13-$15 for the majority of the year so its not like they raised them more. You might be lucky if you find them at a store that marked them down recently.
Skyclaw
OK, are they $12.99 or $14.99? If prices have raised on deluxes, then Hasblow can stick it where the sun dont shine! Fuckers!!

The only one I want is Waspinator

Can't wait for these to shop up at Wal-Mart. When they pop up at Targets first it takes a while for Wallys to get them but when they show up at Wal-Mart first, it's usually a week or so until I find them.
