Transformers Generations Wave 5 was just released – and with it some very highly anticipated characters made their return to Transformers toys, for the first time in nearly 20 years. And Cliffjumper, who’s never really been away unless you count the fact he’s the first in years to have his own head rather than being a straight-up red Bumblebee.
Anyway, I digress, because with a new wave of toys, comes a new wave of bios – and we’ve updated our Transformers Toy Resources section with the bios for these three awesome new additions to the expanded Classics Universe! Check them out by clicking on the links below:
Generations Thunderwing
Generations Skullgrin
Generations Cliffjumper
[Wing_Saber-X]
I shall own them ALL!

Sweet! So can't wait for CJ and Thunderwing. Skullgrin's going to have to grow on me more though. His bio is definitely a good start.

Am I missing something, or are there 2 different figures shown on the resources page for Skullgrin? One is green, and one is grey.

Hi.
They're all well written. Especially Skullgrin.
Although I wish that Thunderwing's bio was more skewed towards his portrayal in the Marvel series – that of a commander who respected, and was liked by his his troops, but with a dangerous obsessive streak.
They still all nice figures, and I'll be trying to get them all.

I may breakdown and buy Cliffjumper. Since Ihave the G1 and earlier classics versions I had thought to skip him.

Skullgrin's bio is awesome, very psychological.
Thunderwing's bio is good.
Cliffjumpers's bio is really similar to what he is in the cartoon or comic.

I like those bios. Excited to get my CJ this weekend.

Nice to see that they attempted to preserve the most interesting aspects of Skullgrin's original TF Universe bio, even though he no longer has a Pretender shell. His personality schism becomes even more internal and psychological, rather than literal.

I like that Thunderwing's bio seems to blend multiple versions of his character. He's got the obsessive, driven characteristics from his Marvel and DW comics incarnations, but also the 'world destroyer' attributes from IDW.
Skullgrin's is interesting, though. It looks to be an inversion of his DW bio, where his true personality was that of an intelligent, logical tactician and his bestial side was only a front created by his Pretender shell. This bio actually sounds like G2 Jhiaxus, who put up a carefully controlled, calculating front but would regress to vicious sadism when pushed too far.

not bad , I like got them all preordered.
Autobot Burnout
I like how the bios really give the characters some form of depth, especially how Skullgrin has to deal with his own psychological defects.
Cliffjumper's reads exactly like the original character, though, so not surprised with him.

Skullgrin sounds really interesting. It's nice to see some characters with psychological depth alongside the end of a world (hope you're not on it) level guys like Thunderwing.
Mad props to my fellow staffer NIBMRatchet for the Thunderwing and Skullgrin bios and pointing me in the direction of Cliffjumper's as well.
