You’ve seen the previous pictures including the at-show pictures from Toy Fair 2012 – now go behind the scenes of the creation of Fall of Cybertron Bruticus – the toy – in this interview between Hasbro’s Lenny Panzica, lead designer on the Fall of Cybertron Generations line and Kotaku. There’s a lot of great information about the design process of bringing the big guy to life as a toy including the original intention to make a “Predaking sized” combiner of the Combaticons! Check it out here!
As a bonus, the interview also comes with clearer, full resolution shots of the five Combaticons in both their modes and Bruticus. You’ve seen these pictures before – they’re just clearer and uncropped here.
The F.N.G.
Yes, it's been confirmed that Brawl, Swindle, Vortex, and Blast Off will be able to become any of Bruticus' limbs. As for height, I'm not certain. A foot, maybe?
Confirmed single-card, though all 5 are in the same case assortment together.

I've still not bothered to watch Firefly after I realised most of the cast are people I got bored silly with on shows like Angel… Probably should but I still can't think of a reason to give it my time yet even though I own it on DVD I just can't be bothered to watch it. It looks like Red Dwarf only even less funny or Andromeda with less endearing hokeyness. And that bloke who does 3rd Rate videogame character voices is in it too.
Prime Jetscream
What about the new one?
Stepper
Hopefully it will be a giftset rather than individual deluxe piece.

quote from article "The four remaining characters will have the traditional robot and vehicle forms, with the added ability to transform into any of Bruticus' limbs, all without relying on extraneous toy bits "
does that mean any one of the robot can be the feet or hand?
also, does anyone know roughly how big the Bruticus combined will be?
David Hingtgen
IMHO interchangeable limbs make for inferior appearance/molds. They should have been 'dedicated'. Imagine if Mad Blender had to form an arm…
Megabattimus
Ok, now I REALLY need to buy two Bruticuses.
big hank
All the more reason to buy a couple of each limb bot, lol!
I hope if they continue with deluxe combiners they utilize they same connection port as these FoC Combaticons.
Then we could have some real scramble city combiner battles! Makes me feel like a young lad back in the '80s again just thinking about it!
juise
Am I late to the game with this Blastoff comparison?
Sonscreen
That's cool how he originally wanted Predaking size. I like the head sculpt, and the scramble city style combination. I want to see how articulated the big guy will be.
Bahamut Prime
I smell kickass entertainment from this guy!
Rexidus
One of the recently posted interviews (either Kotaku but I think Game Informer) 100% confirmed that each limb is interchangeable. You could have a Bruticus with 4 Brawls or any other combination.
Oktoberfest
An American lead designer might explain the more than underwhelming execution of what still is a genius idea (g1 inspired combiners and characters).
Most figures of the Fall of Cybertron line look like crap and transform into a pile of uninspired futuristic pile of randomly generated "something" with wheels.
ZacWilliam
People have spotted what look like they might be extra fists on Brawl and Swindle in ASMs pics so the Scramble Cityness might be true.
With all the new Toy Fair pics I think Brawl, Swindle, Onslaught, and Vortex all look really good as Bruticus. It's only Blast Offs arm that looks really off. And in a good number of pictures I think it looks noticeably longer than Vortex's. Which makes me think it's likely to be miss transformed.
-ZacWilliam, definately looking forward to it.
SouthtownKid
I haven't collected individual combiner limbs since RiD Rail Racer. Kind of nostalgic. Takes me back.
Meggamus
Oh awesome , I like the sound I that
Squints
Does that really mean Scramble City-style limbs? Because if so…holy hell, consider my excitement easily doubled for this guy.
big hank
It's cool to learn he will be Scramble-City style, with any limb bot working in any limb capacity. I still wish he had add on feet and fists, for aesthetic's sake. But a "perfect" TFing scramble-city gestalt is a great engineering feat.

Here's a real interview

SMOG
It's really not much of an interview. Most of the article seems to be the author providing a geek's eye account of who the Combaticons are in the G1 canon. Unless I'm missing something, there's almost nothing interesting being said.
