Official Image of Generations Scamper Released by Hasbro

Posted on 05-17-2013 at 02:53 AM by Superquad7 under Transformers Generations Classics 3.0
Scamper Hot on the previous teasers of the highly-anticipated Metroplex for the Generations line, Hasbro reveals an official image of Scamper, the Legends/Cyberverse-sized figure that will be packaged with Metroplex. With an official image release, it is an indicator that the actual release is getting closer and closer! Also, this image gives us an "official" close look at this figure, allowing us to see both modes!

A careful eye will notice that the Autobot faction symbol in the image is a label. There is a good chance that the actual release will have this symbol tampographed onto the toy. While things may certainly change for the actual release, this image shows Scamper with a red face. The change to black like the Generation One figure may or may not be likely, but this image is consistent with the previous images we have seen, so it looks like Scamper will have a red mug.

For those wanting a little more G1 flavor to their Scamper, repainting the head from red to black will be a relatively easy chore. If your customization skills need some work, you have plenty to time to jump over to Radicons Customs and check out our robust Tutorials and How Tos (I'd recommend starting with the "Introductory" articles")!

We here at TFW2005.com are hoping that you are making the necessary arrangements to obtain this figure as we certainly are!

TFW Generations Sky Shadow Gallery

Posted on 12-13-2011 at 04:30 PM by Sol Fury under Transformers Generations Classics 3.0
Sky-Shadow-Robot-28 We've got a new Transformers Generations Gallery for you now. This time out, we're giving some love and attention to the other new release in the current Generations assortment, Sky Shadow. Sky Shadow is an awesome little toy - very sharp in black and red, with enough remolded parts to make him a unique robot all of his own. He's also a homage to the original 1989 Transformers Victory Black Shadow, himself a Thunderwing remold - as the original was exclusive to Japan, this new toy marks the first time this particular character has ever been released outside of Japan.

Transformers Toy Concept & Design Images

Posted on 11-14-2011 at 01:08 PM by Sol Fury under Transformers Generations Classics 3.0
transformers_classic_mirage_design_sketch_2005_by_alexanderkubalsky-d4g56wm Designer Alexander Kubalsky has shared a rare look at some actual Transformers design works on his Deviant Art account. These images show how the concept of a Transformers toy is developed, both as sketches and then in comparison to the gray prototypes. Some of the pieces Alexander worked on includes:

Universe 2.0 Hound
Animated Bumblebee signature transformation
Animated Rodimus
Hunt for the Decepticons Sea Spray (the sketch refers to it as a Movie 2 design, though Alexander himself calls it Classic, to further muddy the waters on which shelf this toy goes on)
Movie 2007 Camaro Concept Bumblebee

There's lots more on show as well - click here and check out Alexander's full Deviant Art gallery.

Generations Junkheap and Sky Shadow in Hand Images

Posted on 11-09-2011 at 04:47 PM by Sol Fury under Transformers Generations Classics 3.0
DE02 It's not just Transformers Prime's Preview series that has been released in Hong Kong - newly released are the next two Transformers Generations toys, the so called "last of 2011", Sky Shadow and Junkheap. Some in hand images of Junkheap, showing the new head, have been posted over at HK-TF.com. An in hand image of Sky Shadow has also been posted up, and comes to us from Hong Kong store Hobbybase via The Allspark.

I've got it on good authority that these are headed out to certain online stores and specialty retailers as we speak - they should hopefully be making their way into the piles of loot of Transformers fans within the next couple of weeks or so - just in time for Christmas!
