Transformers Movie Resin Statues From Hong Kong Toy Fair 2013

Posted on 01-22-2013 at 02:38 PM by SilverOptimus under Toy Fair
UK Toy Fair 2013 started today and other Toy Fairs (including the famous New York Toy Fair 2013) are to happen across the globe soon. Hong Kong Toy Fair 2013 was recently concluded at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Though the presence of Hasbro was not heard, Transformers did make an appearance. Calibre toy company was there with their Transformers Movie Resin Statues. Thanks to You Tube page Atamaiidotcom, we now have with us, footage from the Toy Fair floor.

Movie Optimus Prime Resin Statue is 20 inches tall, posable with swappable hands and comes with Energon Swords and Axe.

Movie Bumblebee Resin Statue is 14 inches tall, posable, scaled to Optimus Prime and also with swappable hands and weapons with a Battle Mask.

The statues are Asian Exclusives with Optimus Prime going for US$ 1699 and Bumblebee for US$ 1399. Pretty expensive since the toys are "Limited Edition".

Also you can buy your own small Movie Allspark for US$ 299.

Enjoy the video below:

Movie Allspark? a $300 brick! please tell me none of use are THAT rabid a fan.

Fools like them in a fair world would simply go out of business

I'm not positive, but I kinda think DMK Prime may actually be a slightly more accurate sculpt. Those abs don't look quite right to me.

Don't get me wrong, these are fantastic and if they weren't so expensive they might even be tempting. But for a couple hundred dollars plus a little paint the DMK are pretty comparable...

Speaking of which I hope Takara decides to do a couple more DMK for the next movie. Those guys were amazing and it's a crime we only have BB and Prime.

Cool. Outrageously expensive, but cool.

I would be very interested to meet anyone who buys one of these.

Also, don't his swords shoot out of his arms in the movie? I don't remember him holding them like that (but please correct me)
megatroptimus
Overpriced Robot Replicas? Yay.

I think in DOTM when the Driller and Shockwave steal the engine part from the Ark Optimus holds his sword in way much like the statue does.

But yes, his swords also shoot of his arms in ROTF and the first movie.
OptimussSTAR
is it just me or does all things that come from that country seem ridiclously priced and Optimus' swords aren't right to me they look really weird lol
AnAutobot1985
Wow! With money like that I'd rather just buy some MPs and bank the rest.
Some people, me included, have trouble affording Herc. This isn't G1, nor can they even Transform. Good luck selling those.
Cool? Yeah. 1400 & 1700 dollars cool? Not even close!
turbobungle
Prime's torso looks too....fat... to me anyway
Omega Charge
Price aside, those are freaking AMAZING. That said, I'll never own one unless some stroke of luck made me an overnight millionaire.

Honestly, I'd rather have that than any of the character statues. As cool as those are, I think I prefer cheaper version that are transformable (and I'd have to be less careful with).

Human Alliance Bee and ROTF Leader Prime are very good versions of the characters, so I'm content with those.

And I just think the look of the movie Allspark is nice...

But 300 dollar nice? Maybe not...

I would imagine if you wanted a replica ALLSPARK your best bet is the USB hub version or one of the little model ones that are a couple of inches square.

I could see more useful things made in ALLSPARK shape like a document lock box, a comic book storage box a Lunch Box or a small Toolbox for Modelling tools or storing paint in for example.

Something scaled to the version same uses might even be duel use - it's a Movie prop and it's also the right general sort of scale to the full size version if used with Legion/Legends toys.

Agreed - I have the DMK Optimus, and except for the lack of a nice "clear coat" paint sheen, he looks every bit as detailed. Plus you get the fun of building it. Speaking of which, I'd really like to add such a sheen to him but have been too chicken to do so.

Go by many people here, the collectors are barely on Hasbro's radar.

So in a way this does prove them wrong but dismisses what most collectors want at the time.
LegendAntihero
I actually got a movie Allspark after I saw Optibotimus' review of it. I keep it on a broken behind a pile of other junk. I don't look at it much or play with it at all
unicronic
It comes with a battery operated feature where it tries to remove your face.......possibly
SPLIT LIP
Those are really, really nice.

We need a Sentinel and Shockave, though.
Master Zarak
Interviewer sounds like he crapped his pants when the prices were mentioned.
Takeshi_15
Beware of this products!! I dont think is officially license by Hasbro
for asia market Takara Tomy are taking care not Hasbro.
Kantus Prime
Optimus And Bumblebee.... saw that coming as soon as I read the title for Movie Statues.

Getting really sick of that combo... try something new Hasbro.
Omegax80
Someone will buy them, there is always at least one.

prices are insane. but someone with the billion-dollar-a-year job will have no problem forking over the cash.
moreprimeland
Maybe IF I win the lotto...I'd buy Optimus, but wow, not likely to happen.
tformer0607
ahahahahaha you think thats insane imagine ebay prices! Resin or not accessories or not the person that buys this or people are crazy. im happy with my rotf prime
sinwithme13
Nice but i thought the whole point of having a transformer was to have it transform
and at 1700 lol
Paarthurnax
There's some 3rd party stuff that's a lot more interesting. I'd rather put my money there.
Protoman
.........hahahahah!
OMEGAPRIME1983
I.. really wish that allspark wasn't so expensive... It looks awesome, but not $300 awesome. If I can get it at an extreme clearanced price, then I'll pick it up, I guess.
Walktehdinosaur
Where can I find a toy fair general thread?
GabrielPrime

PcPrime23
Those statues are so sexxxxyyy. But WAYYYY too expensive.
newbielives
20Inches and 14inches , if I had a lot of disposable income and I already had my european sports car, lake view mansion, I would definitely pick these two up
MisterGuyMan
Pretty Epic looking. I would love these but I can't justify the cost...
Tetsujin
Holy crap! Over a grand for that Prime?!? Surely these manufacturers have bumped there collective heads to ask that much.
TylerMirage
Not that I'd ever drop the cash to actually get them, but it's a shame that Optimus' axe isn't orange. So close.

Optimus used his swords three times in DOTM:
1. Against the Driller, handheld sword with hilt
2. Against random Decepticons, attached to his arms like the ROTF Leader Prime
3. Against Sentinel Prime, handheld sword and handheld axe dual-wielded

I don't know why he'd carry the swords around when he has them attached to his arms as well, but I thought the hand held swords looked cooler. Also, in the first movie and ROTF the swords replaced his hands, while when they were attached in DOTM, they sat above his hands like they do on the Leader toy.
