Toy Fair 2013 has come and gone for us here at TFW2005.com, and boy was it crazy. We do our best to get the info and images up to you quickly, and for the most part, that doesn’t allow us to curate, refine and enhance the pictures we take. We just want to get em all to you quick, and let you sort them out while the show is in full swing.
That being said, we’ve started to go through our image sets from the weekend, are picking out the best ones and giving them a little extra love. Attached to the story are some of the hottest shots from the show. Not necessarily the hottest as in new & never seen – just some good looking pictures in their own right. To see them all – read on!
If you are looking for comprehensive coverage, check our – Toy Fair News category.
If you’d like to see non-Transformers “pretty pictures” – check out the story on Toyark.com

I think it's been said that Fortress Maximus was actually 22 inches tall, so this Metroplex is at least 2 inches taller.

So the repaint chance to recoup die cost is gonna be an extremely limited con exclusive? Not unless it gets rereleased in the market later. I can't see them blowing their chance of profit.

Metroplex allegedly comes with Scamper, but we still haven't seen any pics of the wee guy. Where is he?

Metroplex looks amazing! I quesiton the claim of largest autobot/TF toy EVER though. Fortress maximus was over 2 feet tall IIRC. If someone who knows could confirm it would be appreciated. i sold my Fort Max and all my other toys back in 2007

The only thing I can see worth griping over is not finding a better solution for transforming the arms to hide the hands and make them fit more seamlessly into the alt modes configurations. We also need a Sixgun, Slammer and Scamper for him.
At very least, it would be nice to get some legends repaints/remolds of the 3 that would fit nicely.

These clearer pics is what we needed to decide which figures we will be getting, sweet

Sure hope to see Metrotitan to be mass release like Metroplex if they decide to issue Metrotitan

I'm assuming that there's a prism inside his head (or just a shrouded light with two slits) that splits the LED light into two distinct dots towards his eyes, and then you can twist that part to shift where those lights shine.

Metroplex, like G1 Devastator, flip-flops between appearances. His G1 toy, and some artwork show him with distinct eyes. Other times, he has a visor.
The new toy splits the difference, and gives him a retractable visor. There are a couple of photos out there showing the visor retracted, and of course the box art depicts him with the visor up.

I wept openly.
Fort Max
Metrotitan could be an sdcc exclusive, can definitely see them doing something with him for SDCC.

So is there any chance to make Metrotitan from Metroplex? I think Takara should do that.

Nice! As someone with far too many G1 Metroplexes, this one very much pleases me. Finally, we can can have Metroplex tower (ever so slightly) over Fort Max, like he is supposed to.
