Toys 'R Us Exclusive Titanium War Within Grimlock and Prowl Shipping to Stores DSC01872
Toys 'R Us employee and 2005 Boards member soundwave86 has informed us that the Orland Park, Illinois store had received a case of the Toys 'R Us exclusive 6" Titanium War Within Grimlock and War Within Prowl figures. The release of these two figures marks the apparent end of the Transformers Titanium line. Start watching your local Toys 'R Us stores for these new figures!

Update: For those who need picture proof to believe, we now have a photo of the figures with receipt. Check out the image to the left.

Amazing how judgemental people are when they dont get what they want. LIES LIES LIES. Karma folks - what goes around comes around.

Soundwave is a more than contributing member of the Chicago group.

Question - for all you local people calling him a liar, why dont you ever post in the Chicago thread?? Lukers maybe?? You never help others and yet you get pissed when you dont get what you want, interesting.
eyeballkid:
I hope these don't suck ass like all the other titaniums.

Here are your pics. Soundwave never lies...

Just picked them up.

See, that information was left out...
DX7879:
Will check out some stores this weekend. Sucks that I have all my other Titaniums packed away though. Guess they'll go with my Classics 2.0 shelf (once I get some Classics...).

Thanks to Soundwave for always being so helpful too, although I haven't traveled to his TRU yet.
dark69:
man i got to get to hunting!

Ditto!
wolfe:
not too fond of the look of those but i'll be hitting the local tru soon here to get them.
protostar8:
Thanks for the heads up on these! I've been wanting these for a long time now. Any chance of getting the DPCI #'s to make things a little easier when calling a TRU?

And were those really $20 each? I thought they used to be $16 a piece?
Shark Jumper:
I checked today, but none yet.

Gonna guess next week. I hope someone puts up a review soon.
Aaron:
Lafayette, Indiana TRU had them.

Note I said had

EDIT: Though it's odd that they have Soundblaster and Primal Prime cross sells on the back-side.

I assume that's because the packaging was probably designed (maybe even printed) before the Titanium line was coming to an end, so the guys doing the packaging were under the impression that those toys would be coming out too, and Hasbro didn't want to redo the packaging.

It might also mean that Primal Prime and Soundblaster might still be coming out. Who knows.

That was my initial thought, though with a date code stamp of 81621 that translates to production on June 11, 2008, first shift... I think.
Gears:
FreshDebesh saw them both at TRU today but he didn't get me a set because he's just a big meanie.
REDLINE:
well you are one of the 32 top JERKS, maybe that's why?
Fosterlager:
So Aaron and others who've found the set, it's one of each per store?

I'd have to guess 2 sets, but only because a 2 case of them seems pointless, and shortpacking an exclusive is odd.
mpdb6:
My wife picked these up for me today in Burbank, CA. She said there were three or four of each figure.
twee:
Confirmed in SD.

Can't believe they're $20 now. Not worth it.

$20? Didn't know that. Guess I'll get em on the internet someday for regular price. If I could find em'.
dark69:
$20 is not so bad if i can find them they will be mine!
Backstop:
these look great, r we getting them in Canada?
REDLINE:
only Titanium you Canadians get are the one that will be of Backstop. Its perfect, as he already has a simple transformation and is a brick.
Runamuck:
I will get these. But I will keep them in package. They could've been so much more.
Soundblaster1:
I want them, but not $20 want. Hell, prolly not even $17 want.

I'll hope these are like most other things and someone sells them in a month because they need cash and I end up with the set for $20.
Powersa:
Got both from TRU today with Happy Meal coupons.
Incepticon:
I can't believe I'm saying this considering War Within is my favorite sub-series offshoot of G1, but I think I'm actually going to pass on these. If there were many more figures already released in the series, I'd buy them in a second. But being a cancelled line with so few figures to begin with, I don't really see the need to get 2 more for a collection that will still look incomplete when/if displayed. Plus it looks like Grimlock suffers from the same lack of proper transformation to alt mode problems that Megatron does.

All the same, I'm glad these DID get released, especially for Grimlock & Prowl collectors.

I'd almost put money on it they'll be SDCC or botcon exclusives. Probably the next 2 sdcc titaniums, since they've been doing one for sdcc the past couple of years. This gives them Ti6 molds for two more years of repaints, maybe more if they toss in the prowl repaints after those.
Cascadia:
hmmm....just curious, how do you figure that we would get repaints of the Prowl mold??
Gears:
Saw them both at TRU today. They had 3 prowls and 2 Grimlocks at the store.
Dayvcon:
anyone have item #'s or upc #'s so i can call tru and check if they have them?
Gears:
Prowl: 6 53569 22619 2
Grimlock: 6 53569 24130 0
Galvatro:
Hello All!

To add a bit to this, here is that pesky 6 digit lookup number- 49-8316. This is for both of them as listed on the shelf tag that reads "Transformers Cybertrn Hero" for the header. As to me finding them, found Prowl but he had a good sized corner ding and a gash in the back of the box. Passed, but still looking...
