Titanium Series to Return - 6 Inch Series Exclusive to Target

Titanium Series to Return - 6 Inch Series Exclusive to Target 1
Oh snap!

It looks like the 6 inch series of Titanium figures are making a come-back for the 25th Anniversary of the Transformers. Thanks to ACToys and S250, we see images for what appears to be Titanium Hot Zone, a repaint of Titanium War Within Optimus Prime, and a repaint of Starscream in to Titanium Thrust.

No idea when their release date is, but they appear to be Target exclusives.

NemesisBruticus:
Yes, finally using the botcon deco.
Chosen:
Because ACToys is being a pain in the ass:

Hot Spot, Thrust, and TWW Optimus, all Target exclusives and with the 25th logo on them.

I've answered your question in other thread.there are lot of favorite IM songs, such as 2 Minutes to Midnight,Aces High,Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter....
Kickback:
Thanks for sharing these S250
netkid:
WWI Optimus in Movie colors looks friggin' cool!

Even though I already have him, I'm so buying that!
Deefuzz:
If the titanium series wasn't terrible I would be much more excited.

Though I am digging "Hot Zone", guess they lost rights to the name Hot Spot?
Kickback:
Hey Deefuzz. Want to see my Hot Spot?
Kupp:
I'll buy Hotspot and Thrust, they are official instant-buy.
DECEPTIKONBRAWL:
i hate target.
Eric:
GASP! Titanium figures are back! Kill them! Kill the zombies with fire!
transformers32:
Well im glad they are back i like most of the line but wish they would of gave us diffrent molds than 3 more recolors. Thrust does look nice though..
Tekkaman Blade:
I'd rather they release the unused molds in plastic as part of classics. Cosmos has lost out twice.
soundwaveCA:
I'm seeing it but I'm not believing it.

Here's to exclusives I hope we don't see in Canada.

I got the same virus warning.
Jason Blue Boost:
Where the hell did these come from? Now I have to make more room. What happened to Soundblaster? He'll probably show up at San Diego as another tit exclusive.

Honestly? I'm glad we're getting a Thrust figure. I mean, what was the last real Thrust figure Hasbro has given us? The Robot Heroes figure doesn't count. I'm definitely getting it, whenever it comes out.

cool i must have missed that

mine are probably # of the beast and wickerman , clairvoyant, but ya your right, there are soo many its hard to choose
Jarodimus:
Wow, left field ahoy!

Hot Zone is awesome, and Thrust looks promising. The WWOP deco looks cool, but I don't know if it's enough to make me buy the mold a third time.

Wonder when these are going to hit. Can't imagine they'll show up with the Animated 2-packs later this month -- probably would've seen 'em before now if that were the case.

No joke. Poor little guy gets no respect... the Legends fig doesn't do him any real justice.

I wonder if this means that we're gonna maybe see the Arcee, Shockwave, Cybertron Bumblebee (with the resculpted Cliffy head), and Cosmos Titanium prototypes seen at Botcon a few years back actually put into production? I kind of wish that Hasbro would ditch the whole Titanium concept and just mint these for us in plastic.... especialy Shockwave.

Does anyone still have a link for the pics of the unproduced Titaniums?
Superquad7:
I'd still love to have HOT SPOT as a repaint of RiD Optiimus Prime as once proposed.

Still cool for those who are into Titaniums
SmokescreenGT:
Very cool. All three will be mine!
Robogeek28:
What the hell?!?

If I still had my Titanium Seekers I'd be all over that Thrust, ah well. Guess Hasbro liked how Titanium Grimlock and Prowl sold as exclusives and hope that these guys do the same sale wise.
Rijie78:
Random toys resurrection pt. 94!

"Movie colours" WW Prime looks bizarre, but Hot Spot/Zone looks pretty cool. Thrust is interesting, colour scheme could look really good on that mould... good spot there.
Ian7:
ZOMFG! Yes, I don't think I'll get Prime. But Hot zone and Thrust are for sure. Their colors just stand out!
Laser_Optimus:
Wow... more six inch Tits huh? Seriously... let them die. That WW Prime mold is one of the worst molds in the entire line (second only to GI Joe Megatron) and while the other two are decent they're so weighed down by their die-cast that they're not very nice figures in the long run.

Only thing I'll really say is that it'd be nice if they took the Super Class version of RID Prime and made Hot Zone 'Spot' out of him. Or at least the Cybertron Prime mold... one of them...

In any case... these are an easy pass. Horribly engineered toys don't get better simply by slapping nicer paint jobs on them...
Valkysas:
Prime looks terrible. rather bootlegish deco.

I will get him because of that. I don't have many stupid looking optimus primes. so I gotta jump at the chance when I see it.
RayH:
I'm all over hot spot, he's one of my favorite g1 figures, and while i'd love an all out classics version of him, thes will be great until that hopefully happens.
TRANS+CRAZY:
I gotta get these Titaniums.
Von Rojas:
I would not mind seeing a return of this line if they produce some new molds. But repainting figures from a relatively weak line seems painfully agonising to me. It would just be Hasbro hitting a new low where repaints are concerned.

Lets wait and watch
Galva-Cannon:
Wow, awesome. I hope that they bring out the unused mold like other people said. I loved the Titanium concept, it was just badly executed. But the later figures were getting a lot better engineered.

If they're just going to repaint the earlier molds I'm not so excited, but it gives me hope that we might get Arcee and Shockwave.
Cyber-Scream:
Okay. Now I really need to go to Target.
Metal Chaos:
I'm hoping to see Primal Prime at some point.
G1Wheeljack:
Cool repaints, already got the WW & RiD Optimus molds but I might pick up Thrust
Orion_Prime48:
and this begs to be answered where the hell is Shockwave, Bumblebee/Cliffjumper, Cosmos, Soundblaster and the Optimal Optimus repaint? id rather see those get released rather than 3 more repaints although Hot Spot and WW Prime do look awesome
dorfsquest:
Nice. I've always been a fan of the 6 inch titaniums, at least from a collecting display standpoint.

Seconded. I'd love to see the Titanium Arcee (Maybe retool her a bit, legs and head) and Shockwave released.
E. C. R. Former:
I've always known that Hasbro recognized that RID Prime made a good Hot Spot and they're finally doing something about it. Sure its Titanium RID Prime but its not a bad mold.

Titanium Thrust... seems to me that they're figuring out a round about way for fans to get a hold of the Coneheads alongside Classics Ramjet and Universe Dirge that came with Roadbuster.

The new WWI Prime looks sweet.
iconscons:
Mmmmm, repaints of crappy figures

I liked the 6" Titanium line in theory, it had potential; but - despite my love of die-cast parts - the engineering on this particular line was largely subpar, the articulation was rubbish, and the transformations woefully simplistic. This was only made more frustrating by virtue of the fact that this was the only line that gave us the likes of a "proper" Magnus, a decent Rodimus Prime, G1 Scourge, G1 Soundwave, and War Within designs - all of which could and should have been far, far better than they turned out.

I'd actually like the "Titanium" line resurrected, but with new moulds, in plastic, full articulation, accessories, and the "Titanium" part can be down to having decent metallic paint finishes. A focus on particular interpretations of popular characters (for example, the War Within stuff, G1 "revisits" that aren't quite Universe-style updates, as attempted before) would also give the line some reason for existing.

The big question of course, is would they sell. They'd no doubt need to be fan-targeted by necessity, and most likely would be relatively expensive (tho perhaps more stylish, but less pointlessly vast and cumbersome packaging could help shave a few pennies off overall). Maybe they'd need to be online availability only; not HTS or convention exclusives, something a little more well distributed; but without the need to go to bricks-and-mortar stores, a semi-regular, focussed line might be viable. Dunno..

(Stops rambling)
kenm2474:
Didnt Hasbro show a prototype shockwave?
Takara_destron:
Meh, pass.
Solrac333:
I don't get why people hate Titaniums. I love die cast. To me they are updated versions of the G1 toys. Yes the titaniums are simple but so were the G1 toys so they go together nicely.

I might have to get these.
Dinobot Nuva:
Riggaraggamahroll-WHA?

Left field indeed...but I'm sold!
General Magnus:
Hopefully they will get Primal Prime out. That TiT was awesome.
Liam Prime:
well this is a suprise! surely if they are going to restart the titanium line they should use the molds that were on display at botcon or sdcc or where ever it was . shouldnt we be getting ww bumblebee and cosmos and shockwave
MoonRacer Prime:
To bad it`s not Cosmos or Arcee. I would buy them.
