That would have been sweet, as long as it wasn't another Megatron tank repaint like in RiD.
Ravenxl7:
That's interesting. I wander what design they would have gone with if the line hadn't died. It could have been really cool. While I'm not going to put any hope into this happening, it would be interesting to have them take the design they would have used on this, and make it in the Universe line (that would depend on how far in the design process they were, and it's highley unlikely). If anything the designs that almost got to the mold making process would have a better chance of being made (though even that's not likely to happen).
Liokaiser:
That would have been awesome. *sigh* I wonder if it was similar to the a G1 Pretender.
Dirge121:
So many awesome Titanium molds, only to be cancelled. Damnit!
Optimus747:
Life no longer has meaning.
Unless they use it for a Classics 2.0 figure.
Switchblade:
Probably would've been a repaint of one of the Megatron molds.
Lion:
WWI Grimlock and now Bludgeon...boo. What are they thinking? G1 Magnus is such a cool figure, hell, cancel the movie figures and pump out the titanium line!
Ktulu:
No big deal, I'm still glad the line is gone. Every one I bought was a gigantic disappointment. They should've all been done by the actual TF team and Takara engineered, but oh well.

Originally Posted by Liokaiser That would have been awesome. *sigh* I wonder if it was similar to the a G1 Pretender. | My understanding is that it would have been a new mold, based on Don's War Within designs. So heavily inspired by the G1 but with a bit of the new. Like a lot of the other War Within characters that were worked into the line. Quote:

Perhaps it was because at the time we had an awesome couple of main lines (Cybertron and then Classics) which were some of the best TFs ever designed at that point so anything would pale in comparison.
It was a good series, though not one without its failings.
Fosterlager:
We need Premium Titaniums. Jarodimus: Quote:
Originally Posted by Switchblade Probably would've been a repaint of one of the Megatron molds. | Eesh. Not the GIJoe one, I'd hope. And I don't think the WW mold would've really fit Bludgeon.
I could see a remold of The Fallen working, though.
Bendimus Prime:
I'm still disappointed the line ended just because it gave us figures from the comics we never got before. I'm still holding out hope that we might get a Hearts of Steel Bumblebee figure one day. crimbot:
I'm so glad that the titanium line is toast. They should keep these ideas for a new TF Universe line or somthing, bludgeon would have made a cool titamium, but and even cooler "real" toy.
seeker311:
Those bastards!!
Noisemaze:
They need to release that in the new Classics line along with the new Cosmos they showed us.
ZeroMayhem:
For Bludgeon fans I feel bad. It sucks when a character you like gets shafted.
Personally though I hated the Titanium line. A total waste of time and resources and some of the worst TF toys I've ever seen. I was happy to see it go. As for Bludgeon, I just never cared for the guy, so meh all around.
rosedoggydog:
I want more 6" TiTs. Those guys ruled. New molds were great too.

Fosterlager:
To me, it would be essential for Universe Bludgeon to keep some "Pretender" aspect, such as fold on or add on armor like Thunderwing has in the IDW comics. Even a fold-over skull/samurai helmet hinged on his shoulders would be nice.
Both have precedent, with Classic Jetfire. Quote:

They were just wasting time cranking out Spiderman crap until we gave them better characters to do. Johnator:
That sucks. I hope they use some of the molds for Universe since the ones we saw looked great.
Tekkaman Blade:
They need a new line where they use the concepts and the line design of titanium, but using designs from the transformers line akin to the new universe/classics line. Many people liked the characters and modes chosen, but dis liked the execution of the molds and the use of diecast. Hopefully Universe will follow some of titaniums ideas if not the figure design.

Ditto! I so wanted a Titanium WW Skywarp.
Warmachine:
THAT...FRICKIN`...SUCKS!!! 2008 would have been a kick ass year for Titaniums. WW Prowl , WW Grimlock and now we come to find out no Budgeon! DAMN!!
Like others, I hope they see life with Universe/Classics. PLEEEEASE!
Smasher:
While I would have loved to see a modern interpretation of Bludgeon, I can't help but look at my Soundwave with his huge diaper and inability to stand and Megatron whose limbs fall off so much I think he should be strapped to Chewbacca's back and think there would have been at least one huge flaw in the figure.
Even the good ones -the WW Seekers, RID Prime are lacking compared to other lines.

If anything, to get their money's worth from the figures, they should just remake them in plastic, both released and unreleased Titaniums, and stick them in the Universe line.
We're still itching for those canceled Titaniums we saw on the Hasbro tour and in the Botcon display cases. And while we're on the topic of making unreleased toys, throw in Trans-Tech figures as well! Please Hasbro, make Transformers "Universe" a line that lives up to it's name!
Silent_Magnus:
I think we just needs a Comic line.
As long as hasbro doesn't start butting into IDW's beeswax too much.
squawkbox74:
what they need is a ww twin twist

The WW figures were really cool (but at sometimes disappointing in the final product), like netkid said they should make them in plastic and release them with other name....
Ktulu:
Don's designs for the line were A+, but they were just totally ruined in the engineering phase. Came out totally crappy. I even felt jipped with the G1 Magnus so many others praise. Legs fall off like nothing, shoulder rockets fall off easy, gun doesn't stay in the hand, arms are way behind the torso, vehicle mode is horribly misaligned, etc. Blah blah blah.
Done with "main line" engineering and by the proper TF team, they would've all been better, I'm almost certain. They would've all at least stayed together from mode to mode and probably ended up with better sculpting and articulation over all. I'd love for any of the unused ideas to end up being given that treatment and placed into the Universe line, absolutely.

The Club Comic is going all "Trans-Tech" for a bit and it would be a good opportunity to reap in the benefits and the fans with figures from the once ill-fated concept/story.
I doubt we'd ever get any new Titanium figures, but the possibility of those figures being made in plastic and placed into the Universe line would seem like a good move. Heck, I'd buy all my Titaniums over again if they came in just plastic! The die-cast really weighed them down, and not in a good way.

And with trans-tech. How would Cheetor stand?

That's a pretty small surface area, would seem like it'd be hard to pose.
Edit:
On topic, I don't really care for Bludgeon's regular robot mode.
So it just being his pretander shell would have been ok with me.
As long as he had a sword.

That forum has some more pictures of the Starscream hard copy,
but apparently the guy couldn't get a hold of pictures of Optimus.
ANd those are the only three that I know of that got to the Resin stage.

ANd those are the only three that I know of that got to the Resin stage. | Yeah, unfortunately no pictures of the Trans-Tech Optimus Prime Hardcopy have ever surfaced, aside from conceptual artwork.
Another interesting note about Trans-Tech was that each figure (even Deluxe-Class) would be electronic and sport color-changing lights (think Beast Wars Optimal Optimus) and also sounds!
With a gimmick like that^, I'd buy one of every figure!
Silent_Magnus:
From what I've read, the sound thing sounds awesome,
but wouldn't that jack up the price?

nkelsch:
If it was a mold based off of his pretender shell or the IDW Bludgeon: I weep for the deceased.
If it was a repaint of that GIJOE Megs or some other lame repaint: Titaniums can go to hell and I hope the corpse was desecrated and buried upside down.

Masterpiece Bludgeon~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That's all I gotta say. And it was prob a yellow Gi Joe Megs recolor, so no great loss!
Prometheum5:
I don't understand why everyone hated the Titanium line... they were collectors orientated figures based on specific appearances or artist's work... I've got WWI Prime, JetFire, and Rodimus Prime (and would really like a G1 UM) and LOVE them... only thing I would change would be to make and weapons out of hard plastic and not rubbery stuff...

Please Hasbro, make Transformers "Universe" a line that lives up to it's name! | I doubt those Titanium molds would work well in all plastic, seeing how they were made specifcally for die-cast parts, with their rather simplistic transformations and all. If you thought the mostly metal Titanium figures sucked, then you would probably think even less of them if they were made entirely of plastic. I don't know why so many people think die-cast metal was the problem. Do you think masterpiece Prime or the original g1 figures suffered because of the die-cast? The Titanium figures were simply not engineered well. If the figures had ratcheting joints, they would have held up the die-cast metal much better.

Many of the figures would clearly have been better in plastic and were designed like plastic figures.
The other Half of the figures were really bad, and I mean some of the worst figures we have seen in years. Some were just designs no one really wanted ever. Poop-my-Pants soundwave, GIJOE megs, War Within Megatron's Vehicle mode, they were just not good.
Combine 10$ toys selling for 20$+, Nice designs ruined by metal and glaring shelf-warmer characters mixed in with good stuff and you get everything that is wrong with a retail line.
I would have loved to seethe good figs from Titaniums simply released in plastic as part of classics.
All my Titaniums can hardly stand in robot mode anymore and the vehicles are floppy too. And I haven't messed with them too much.
