$50 is crazy until you realize they wouldn't price it as such if absolutely no one would buy it. I'm willing to bet some people bite on it.

Why would anyone pay $50 for a shitty headband that looks like a gusher fruit snack, when you can get a more accurate headband out of the twisty-tie on a $3 loaf of bread?

I think their plan here is to post the $50 headband to try and trick people into thinking they'll be getting BOTH Soundwave and the headband for that price.

It's horrible, but it's the only reason I can think of for them to price it as such.

That headband was not worth the 5 bucks I paid for it, it's not even worth a dollar. Wish I had looked at it first..

(I don't even hate the headband, I'm keeping it for my collection, $5 was the upper limit of reasonable for it.)

Well they did have to pay to ship it back to their store, I mean UPS charges an arm and a leg so they have to recoop their costs.... sarcasm aside $50 is ridiculous, $10-15 is understandable and expected.

I'd have no problem buying from these guys because they're a reputable outlet.

It will sell out, why? because it was from botcon and the nerds just can't get enough of botcon.

On a serious note, I heard most of the dealers had crappy sales at the con, so don't expect any deals on botcon stuff. ESPECIALLY something so severely limited.

Whats really going to crack me up is when Maiden Japan starts showing off his parts for the SG Junkions and the price triples... $170 will be a STEAL then! Look what the parts did to the price of mass release figures there for awhile.

I still maintain that there should have been enough headbands made for every set and they should have been handed out with the box sets at pick-up.

I'm gonna have to agree with Sioce. Not the most fun thing to say, but the only way to avoid sales like this is by making the trip to Botcon.

Exactly, I paid a bit extra for my set of toys, but the increase was still FAR cheaper than a plane ticket and hotel! A boy was good enough to hook me up!

I didn't get a headband though....

I have no problems with etailers/members/etc scooping up the attendee figures and bringing them to the public, and have had many great dealings with Toy Arena. At the same time, like most of you, that headband price is laughable. Everything else I am fine with, they went there, I didn't (though I made arrangements with a local in advance), and I am all for profit, but $50 for a headband that I am sure some collectors want to "complete" their set, when we know it was $5 at the Convention.

Good job, Toyarena. This thread is making you lose business instead of gaining it. But hey, there are two guys on your side. Too bad they aren't buying anything from you either.

I just bought the Junkions from this site. The price is comparable with ebay, especially with the coupon code. I've been watched the ebay prices since BotCon, and the Junkions went up a bit yesterday. Time will tell if I'm a fool!
