Chrome works for me. Looks cool enough, now to figure out when I can pick it up.

Chrome looks smexy.

Chrome looks great, but I'd be sooo worried about scratching it and flaking it.

Looks really nice, but I'll wait for MMC's Hexatron.

Why Takara has a fetish for chrome and shiny paint, I may never know.

Everything looks great from the figure to the box.

i'm sorry but $185 is just way too much for me.

i'd prefer a masterpiece version @ $200.

If it wasn't so horrifically overpriced I'd be all over this. What a great display piece.

Care to elaborate? Does it look garish or maybe out of place? maybe gaudy? Too fanciful? So why the...eeewww?

Or is it along the same line like such things as "Meh", "Not worth the price tag" & so on & so forth?

Horrifically overpriced is right. They're selling us $5 worth of plastic in a box that costs $179. No thanks! As said above, I'll wait for my Hexatron. Or hell, I could find an original G1 USA or JPN edition for roughly the same price. Shit is bonkers.

Oh well...I still recall in 2008 when Henkei was first announced, quite a number of people here rant & raved, said they were too expensive, the chrome was too fugly & "I'll stick with my Hasbro ones".

Well Henkei stuff is still sought-after on Ebay nowadays.... (Henkei Ratchet still fetches a much more higher price than it's Hasbro counterpart despite it's ugly & eeeeww chromey parts).

Pass. My interest in Transformers ended with the movie toys. I don't think I even knew Sixshot existed until my adult interest in the brand.

Also, all those modes are pretty damn ugly.

Agreed. Maybe that's why im not sold on this figure. Also with all the new masterpieces on the verge of release im gonna be pretty broke. As far as i can see all the alt modes dont actually resemble anything much atall without giant leaps of the imagination. but i guess if you liked the original character then hey why not? I bought a g1 ultra magnus reissue and that was a shocking plastic brick lol, but i love him anyways

(Also, for Christ's sake, Takara photographers, there is an extra damn rotation and nub to bring the arms forward for the car mode and align them with the black chunks at the side of his hood so the mode doesn't have a giant gap in the side. You have been getting this wrong since 1987.)

Sorry, but the chrome guns are not enough to buy Sixhot again at that inflated price.

Actually there's more to it than meets the eye *no pun intended*.

The front half of his entire torso section is metallic teal. There are other areas that are painted as well (i.e. such as the tank treads in silver paint, the eyes are metallic red in robot and animal mode. The 2 caps on his chest piece have been chromed too).

Right on,will rather pay for MP figure than this Sixshot.

IMHO for that kinda ridiculous price, Im hoping gold/ silver plated stickers at the very least!

He does look nice. Only problems I have are:

1- You can get a regular one for $60
2- For this price you can buy the MMC one which will be fantastic from the looks of it.

where are you getting this grandiose idea that a minty G1, loose Sixshot is going for only $60?!

Maybe you feel a tinge bit jealous or envy? Coz I remember from reading, one of the threads you paid quite a big amount from one of the members here to procure you own G1 Sixshot.

Anyway it's not impossible to get that kind of price (if you know where to look rather than rely on just one source).

I bought a minty G1 loose Sixshot complete for $60 no more then a month or 2 ago.

MMC's hexatron will probably be cheaper than this brick and he will be leader sized. Big time pass on this reissue.

Well there you have it then. Makes more sense. I thought this was a wide released item in Asia.

Even if it is an Asian convention exclusive,don't think it's worth the price.

Well regarding his price, MISB Sixshots are not cheap atm, so this is a hell of a lot better imo. It at least offers something different to the other variants and this also happens to be a convention exclusive.

Will prefer the previous reissue as it is of G1 packaging rather than this
