Nice to see the Xtransbots stuff in detail.

1) Wished the TFC toys would not be so damn expensive I am afraid I have to pass...
2) I am really dissapointed in the XTransbots alt mode I will pass on this one...
Demonss
wow.. $180 for those xtransbots... They look horrible in alt mode, they look like they have brick articulation in bot mode.. An easy pass..

Is there anyone planning to get these over igears?

So it's inferior toys which may yet make the delivery date, or superior ones which are in limbo.

Some choice.

Ironhide & Ratchet are atrocious. Too angular in alt mode.

I covered the X-Transbots news 2 days ago.

Maybe this is their Cybertronian mode? lol

The weapons kits looks pretty good, but the 'bots themselves look pretty mediocre in both modes.
However, one must wonder if xTransbots can go from computer models only to completed/delivered product before iGear delivers theirs. I'm sticking with iGear for now, even though I have no clue when they'll actually arrive (not trusting that it will be within the month).

Well assuming igear's come out (despite all the issues with push backs and all that I'm sure they're coming), bot for bot comparison igear's blow them away.

Why would anyone pay $180 for that version of Ironhide and Ratchet and not just instead pony up a few more bucks and get much better versions...oh yeah, because the iGear ones are just for pretendzies, aka delay times infinity! But seriously, you should be able to get both of these guys for one of what iGear's cost if they want to actually compete.

I agree with this. My purchasing of Xtransbots in the past was all cost driven, and NONE of the xtransbots stuff I've been 100% content with (powerglide was the closest).

I'd be super hesitant to pay that much for ratchet and ironhide from them even if they looked good.

On the other hand, it is encouraging to have even a rough idea of when figures for TFC's next combiner are becoming available.

Yeah, the Xtransbots vans seem really overpriced considering their competition right now.

$100 seems sort of reasonable for TFC's Reflector set. 3 large Scout figures, nice alt mode, good designs. By 3rd Party standards, that's about what I'd expect. Too bad they aren't more g1-ish... they're losing nostalgia points there.

Aerialbots... it's pricey, but I guess it's at least consistent with their Hercules... assuming the Aerialbots are around the same size.

I think I need to get out of the 3rd Party market. It's just too much temptation and financial ruin rolled up together.

ahh $80 each should have been the us prices for uranos but then again i still wouldn't buy it
CodeXCDM
Phototron is almost 100 via RK... so I guess it'll be about 130 for the trio via BBTS/TFS at the least. Not the worst price I suppose... but it'd have been nice to have been under 100 total. =.

Honestly, seeing TFC creating the Rage of Hercules set to further bring Herc into G1 Territory makes me think they'll revisit the Camera set... at the very least recoloring them to be mostly purple, and quite possibly resculpt the heads, which would cover the nostalgia factor and make folks go from passing to bought-on-sight.

The Ratchet/Ironhide from X-Transbot looks... boxy. TBH it's not that good. Would've been nice to consider as an alternative to picking up both iGear ones... especially since the damn things *still* aren't out!

Ironhide and Ratchet only sold as a two-pack? They're way too expensive to do that.
adamthered
Learned my lesson on Hercules and will wait until a Uranus "set" becomes available for a bit cheaper. No need to rush on this one since I'm perfectly fine with my FP Aerialbots.

If Igears van bots didn't exist ( I kow there's a joke there just leave it be) I'd probably think these Xtransbots were pretty nice, they don't look too terrible just not as good as Igear's. Also that price is a lil steep they should come down a bit.
flywheels
Not biting on the "Aerialbots" and as for the others, I'll keep my Henkei Ironhide and Ratchet.
mooncake623
I think they roll out the vans so quickly to get a jump on igears market. Either way there will be so much qc issues it's not worth even considering until a few months down the road and some reviews are out, issues fixed and price drop. Bit by then the igear ones should be out. Then you'll have your decision of which to go with. Right now I can't imagine anyone would jump on it.
Ribieconvoy
The vehicle modes on those Ratchet and Ironhide renders look terrible. The robot modes look okay, but they could use some sprucing up and some better articulation. The rest looks great, as expected. 95 dollars is a great price for that Reflector.
