New Arms Micron Weaponry Preorders Announced, EZ Terrorcon CJ

When are we getting a EZ/Cyberverse Prime Soundwave (not the DOTM redeco was not Prime), and Why do the Japanese insist Terrorcon Cliffjumper is all Purple? It's a huge WTF thing

I think the fifth Micron in the Autobot pack is supposed to be Wheeljack's. The blade looks enough like his sword.

EZ Terrorcon CJ is a pretty brilliant idea, and the EZ Vehicon looks much more purpley than the normal release.

Im not really sold on some of this new Arms Microns being parts needed to combine older figures they just end up a little clunky looking unlike the other arms micron combiners

i don't care about the combined modes
just happy to get those missing minicons that have only been available with the figures or as crazy exclusives.
May have to buy two of each set so everybody can dual wield

I like EZ Cliffjumper and the clear vehicon too - very nice.

There's two parts to that name "Terrorcon Cliffjumper" Hasbro concentrate on the Cliffjumper part Takara concentrate on the Terrorcon part - so I think Takara's intent is to make him look like a generic Zombie Con colour scheme.

And The Purple one is terrific regardless of show accuracy. I look forward to getting Dead End so he can be one of Dead End's undead Minions along with Terrorcon Bumblebee.


Can we infer who will look good with what from the colours ;

Ratchet's Scalpel in Yellow. (Bumblebee or Swerve)
Wheeljack's sword in green (Energon Downshift maybe ?)
OP in Red - That should look good with Prime still, Cliffjumper or Swerve or Ironhide.

Megatron's Cannon in Green - bit odd but interesting.
Silver scorpion (damn they like that mould don't they)
Dark coloured Bird that should look nice with Skywarp or Terrorcon Bumblebee.
Glad to see another tick for Airachnid as I have a feeling two would allow her to have landing skis.

Anyway there's some merit in those it allows people to not have to buy Micron Arm Airachnid, Starscream or Soundwave for a start.

That yellow sword is a puzzle though - perhaps I can try it out on Bumblebee's forarm slot or see what it looks like with Dead End, Rumble or Hotshot.

Cool idea and not a bad price at all.

Looking forward to those AMW five-packs, since they're all Microns that I don't have yet and look to form some neat, larger weapons. Hopefully BBTS will get preorders up for them soon.

if takara came up with the idea of micron/minicons for prime, does that mean hasbro has no rights to it the same way jet vehicon and breakdown only have tomy imprinted in the mold?

most designs are shared or have the option to be used by both parties look at the MP line as an example of japanese toys getting US releases.

For the TT exclusives the offical word seems to be about profit margins being too low to be worth their time.

As for Arms Microns as a line its up to Hasbro if they see a market for it outside collectors.

Hrm, might get EX Wheeljack. I want the swords, but I have no desire for the Starhammer.

Plus, Clear Terrorcon CJ might have to be bought... that mold is one of the best Legends figures to date.

We knew about the EZ collections some time ago, but the Decepticon one was missing Breakdown and Zombie Cliffjumper from the original listing.

I think it's an attempt to do something unique compared to the two Hasbro versions. Dark energon is colored purple in Prime and that's what created "Terrorcon" Cliffjumper, so purple makes sense to me if they want to add a new twist.

And I will be getting that EZ set just for the damn Cliffjumper, even though I already have the Hasbro versions of the other five.

You can look on it as a resurrected Dark Energon zombie - he runs about picks all his stray bits up and sambles about intimidating police officers - even though he's dead he still likes picking on cops.

He's glowing purple as an after effect of the mine he was in when he blew up - he's super saturated (like something out of the Energon Tv show) he's glowing with energy.

That is how I like to think of him anyway.

Anyone find it funny that the micron five-packs are listed on BBTS for $25 a set (about $5 a pop, closer in price to what you'd pay for individual AMW microns from overseas retailers) yet the individual AMW listings still go for $7.99, meaning purchasing five of those from BBTS would run you about $40?

Your right and I wonder if BBTS will have those two included as well? They are showing the same price point as the Autobot set with two less figures.

This maybe a really stupid question - but why don't they let you pre-order Campaign offers - why can't you just go into the store and reserve the toys you want or pay for them if they are out already and then be given a ticket to come pick the Micron up later ?

I like what they did with Lawsons Exclusives - they were not difficult to get - just expensive.

I'd love a rainbow of fruit flavour of microns - but they will probably require some chasing - Those red ones are practically non-existant on the secondary market more's the pity.
