IIRC, those two toys were never released officially in those territories. I'm more than likely incorrect though

Who would order a random pin?

So BBTS is importing a two pack of toys to the US that were each originally available in the US for $290 and yet the going rate for a sealed original US release on ebay is ~$60 each.

Now if they had some unique really knock your socks off deco, I could understand them importing it... but these look identical to the US release.

Wow, talk about an underwhelming overpriced outdated set...

Never underestimate the degree to which completists are masochists!

The DOTM 2-pack confuses me. XD But I guess there must be a market for this somewhere in Asia.

Yeah, there will be people whining over the price...

... because they want it. So sad.

I try not to but sometimes I just can't help but be surprised.

It does make me wonder if BBTS got enough emails inquiring about this set for them to import it.

ARGH.

NO.

THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN.

Seriously.

Shelfwarming toys are NOT sent back to Hasbro, back to the factory in Asia, taken out of their original packaging and then put into new packaging and sent back to Hasbro once again. Hasbro confirmed that this doesn't happen, and if "old" toys are released in new packaging, they are in fact from brand new factory runs.

Which "territories"? The '07 Leaders were released both in Japan and Hasbro-Asia.

Hence, the last part of my statement about me probably being wrong.

Definitely way too high for that Leader Two-pack.

I wish they'd release a repaint of Movie 1 Optimus in purple and black with a new head and call him -- what's the current trademark held? -- Motorbreath?
