Hey look! It's one of those milestones that Vangelus actually would hate to acknowledge because it's just a number! Oh, and good, the Roswell discussion is here.

I admit, just hearing the music for that stupid goddamn game made me check on my game several times in this episode.

You win this round, Vangelus.

OK, as a resident TFW2005 Brony let's the Equestria girls thing mentioned and done with.

Yes it is a blantant that this is Hasbro trying to get into the Barbie Market, as far as the synopsis of the TV Movie is conserned

Sometime afteer the Season 3 Finale...In an effort to regain her stolen crown,
Princess Twilight Sparkle steps through a magical mirror, into a
completely new world where some things have changed, but true
friendships remain magical!
It's already been said that a Proper TV series will follow, and outside of the movie the two shows will not affect each other.

And to answer another of your questions Vangelus, Yes "Friendship is Magic" is written Strongly enough and in such a way that charecters could be Human, Smurfs, or whatever and people whould still love the Charecters for who they are.

Equestria Girls in my veiw storywise is just a change in the setup and senario of the show, as long as the charecters are written well with thier established personallities it could have some very good merits of it's own.

Now we can finally see the not-Optimus Prime center of our Masquarade combiner!

This set was suggested on the cybertron.ca board back in August. We really need the not-Small Foot.

You could always make Bikemurder be a custom class figure, then it can use a Hasbro mold:

For a Transformers series where all the heroes are human, I think Masterforce would be it. Almost all the heroes were either human or could pretend to be human.

How about a modern series where all the characters are Masterforce style Pretenders. Optimus Prime actually looks like human Peter Cullen in armor, etc.

Indeed. I just find the high school setting a bit off-putting.

Although I'm sure you guys saw the tutorial for fixing Blitzwing's shoulders after recording the podcast, here's a link for anyone who hasn't:

Ross will forever be great in my eyes even if it has a dumb name because that's where I got HFTD Lugnut for $10.
Also I was playing the stupid game when Vangelus started... and then he started exploring the exact same level I was in and it kinda weirded me out!

Aaron mentioned that the turtle shell canopy on Bulkhead doesn't cover anything, but it actually blocks his light piping, which makes eyes inside the visor. Sort of has this Prometheus-style helmet look to it.

And it's not a side effect of the weird clear plastic horns, because covering them doesn't affect it.

Love thoose concept pics! But i agree that Masterforce was as close to the human transformers as you can get. I would love to see pretenders come back in full, but i think Hasbro wouldn't take the risk of doing the whole series revolved around it.

With a little retooling of Motormaster into Prime and the other Stunticons into the Autobots, FansProject would have a hit.

I think it would work better with pilot call signs for mecha pilots.

Frank "Megatron" van Sustern
Peter "Optimus" Collins
Chris "Starscream" Phillils
Dan "Bumblebee" Smith

etc.

Hearing Aaron talk about Andyroo... it hits home a lot for me. I just want to say... I want him to beat this. I want Andy to win.

But...

WTF TFW dudes... I got into LEGO since 2012 December. Actually... LEGO Star Wars to be exact. Although, I have to admit I purchase the LEGO 31007 Power Mech (Green Springer looking triple changer) because of Vangelus influence. I really wish that Mech has knee joints. (><)

On Transformers Legend... my power rating is 7994 (ally me at: aliasangel2005). This game maybe lame but it is as addicting as alcohol.
Thunderboom
Been listening on-and-off for the past two days (yay for being sick), and finally got to my question bit! I wasn't expecting to hear an answer until about July or so, with the usual 6-month layover, so it was surprising to hear!

My main idea with the question was how "Equestria Girls" is eliminating the "Pony" bit, what ramifications would be in-store to eliminate the "Transformer" from its counterpart (thus eliminating Pretenders as an option, though a Pretender-oriented show would be pretty cool in its own right). I do think it would work best if it were former Transformers, in the style of Action Masters. As "Human Error" showed, there's plenty of ideas to draw on just from the idea of humanized alien robots trying to fit in.

My personal idea would be to incorporate a bunch of stuff, such as ending up with everyone having to become Pretenders to fight their battle on Earth in secret, only for some kind of malignant force (Yellow Energon, Thunderwing, Red Hats, etc.) to force them permanently into their human forms, while their fellow TFs back on Cybertron are left untouched. I think it could lead to plenty of interesting scenarios!

And thank you for the compliment about my name! I came up with both "Thunderboom" and "Shockpulse" back when I was in 4th grade, watching G1 for the first time (and Armada as it aired), and decided to create my own Transformers. What I ended up with were those two! Later I found out that "Thunderboom" made a really snazzy username, but as I kept finding people using it too (and then a book of children's poetry was released named "Thunderboom") I switched to "Shockpulse", which I later found out is an actual electrical engineering thing!

(And yes, Vangelus, you did get me into Glyos, along with Phil Reed. But I think the recent influx of fans comes from the Armorvor and Monkaa grabbing plenty of new people with different interests from the usual Glyos fare.)

"Blame" Vangelus for Glyos addictions, "Thank" Aaron for Lego addictions
TheDoctor
I think the closest you could get to a show about non-transforming transformers is by, as some have said, the use of Pretender shells. In Beast Wars, they had to adopt biological forms to shield them from an overabundance of energon. You could go the opposite route and say that they are so depleted of enegon to the point of near shutdown that both factions are forced to us Pretender tech. This way their robot bodies would be almost in stasis lock, but their conscious minds could still operate. They would have to use their true forms sparingly.
Personaly, I dont care too much for transformers that dont...you know...transform...

Exactly.

Re: the paint on blitzwing, i had a few issues as well. The biggest thing for me was his German monocle face; mine has like a mole under his right eye and his lips are highlighted in black. Guess i got the Goth variant.......
