I wish I had a cookie every time Vangelus ends up ranting about Starscream and Alexis.

Actually, Doctor Doom was involved with the backstory of Marvel Crossovers Venom and Carnage

He built it for the Symbiotes...

There it is! Was starting to get antsy...though now I realize that this one came out at exactly the expected time so I guess I'm just being impatient. :/

By the way, where are you guys with listener voicemails right now? I want to hear your reaction to me trying to replicate a landline click with a cellphone.
Vector Squidma
Also, I really really want a supplemental that's just Vangelus ranting about how much he hates Transformers Super Link for two hours.

That would be fun.

Since it was brought up, just an FYI for others, a timeline of Joss Whedon stuff:

1997-2003 - Buffy the Vampire Slayer 1-7
1999-2004 - Angel 1-5
2002-2003 - Firefly (three eps aired in '03, all of the others in '02)
2005 - Serenity (film sequel to Firefly, shooting didn't start until '04?)
2007 - The Office (directed two eps)
2008 - Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog
2009 - Cabin in the Woods (co-wrote & produced; wasn't released until this year due to MGM's issues delaying the release for a few years)
2009-2010 - Dollhouse 1-2 (it was just two seasons, not two and a half)

He's also been involved in writing comics for almost a decade, including the Buffy comics since '07 (he hasn't written all of them, but steers things creatively I guess since the comics are canon) and Astonishing X-Men from '04-'08 (more or less).

Anyone else think Gore Verbinski would be a great choice for a Transformers movie? You know, the guy who directed the first three Pirates of the Carribean Movies and Rango? Not only is that guy really good with CG effects, but he does some of the most wonderfully fun and creative action scenes out there. I think he would be perfect.

200 episodes, worth every minute of listening
NLWprime
im more of a jelly fan

I guess I was lucky that I didn't see all of Armada as then many of the issues with Energon didn't bother me so much.

I don't tend to pick on that show that much as many of the negative issues with it apply to 60%+ of all Anime and it's no different from Pokemon, Beyblade or Digimon having dodgy seasons/shows on the back of very good ones.
Super_Megatron
Congrats to Vang and the crew for hitting 200 episodes.
Chykin
I like my toast to be just barely golden and crunchy, marmalade on it (a mixture of strawberry and grape; I hate peanut butter), and Tropicana no pulp. Ketchup.
Megabattimus
All I want is Hasbro to get Gainax to do the animation and maybe write a show, similar to how Animated was animated by Mook, The Answer Studio, Studio 4°C and Barnum Studio. That is all I want, a Transformers show that looks as good as either Gurren Lagann or the Rebuilds of Evangelion.

We already have one, Supplemental 3; it's only seventeen minutes however and not only on Super Link/Energon.
ORIO
Happy 200 guys! Looking forward to getting a chance to listen to this.

Happy 200

Congratulations on the show's 200th episode.

Props to you guys for a consistently awesome show that makes me enjoy my hobby more

I think there should be a Unicron trilogy/superlink vent supplemental. To get all this built up anger towards that part of the fiction out in the open.

It's the healthy thing to do.
Shadowbreaker
It's going to odd to see episodes that don't start with one...

Also, lightly toasted toast is the way to toast.
tubbsii
thank you for this awesome birthday present
Roni134730
I could care less about how you toast it or what you put on it. All I want to say is that SOURDOUGH toast is the way to go!
Jarl
When it comes to a creative team I'd like to see...

I'd like to see Michael Bay stick around as a producer, since those pentagon connections let us have villainous F-22s and I don't want to step away from that, I gotta keep my evil american military machines, that's one of the best parts of these movies. But for director, I was thinking Neill Blomkamp, director of District 9 and Live in Jo-Burg, a man who can make a dollar go pretty damn far, and who can make you really believe the CGI beast on the screen is a person.

As for actors... I dunno, that would depend on if it's a new continuity or not, whatever.
KnightHawkke
shoot, have not even hit up 198 yet.
TrueNomadSkies
Honestly, I'm pretty much off traditional toast & buns all together at this point in favor of Pita.
SideswipePrime
On the subject of mixing 2D and 3D animation, I think Macross Frontier did a pretty good job
nemeos
There was a Buyer beware level KO of HA Barricade, wasn't there?
Lumpy
I'd love to see a sequence like Animatrix, that'd be spectacular...

I joined the Stepper club at Botcon too! love that toy, he's not even made it into my toy room yet, he's still in my living room... I'm highly considering taking him to Disneyland next week to see if i can take some nice pictures of him in the park.
ORIO
"Go ahead, ask me anything about Marvel Mega-morphers"

"No."

Also, if anyone cares about the Batman one that was mentioned, it's called Gotham Knight & it's pretty amazing.
spliffdizzle
As far as I can tell, there was no HA Leadfoot release aside form the US market.

I chose to leave out the most obvious since what was discussed on the podcast was whether certain stuff he was working on was overlapping and to the degree that it did. I left off Avengers because that's the most obvious piece on his resume considering it came out just a month ago and people are aware of that, but not necessarily of his previous work. I added Cabin in the Woods because even though that only came out this year as well, it was made a few years ago and took forever to get a theatrical release.

HA Leadfoot was released by Takara as well, but it was released without the Target logo (just like the Deluxe they released) as DA-30. The Deluxe came later as DA-34.

I like to put a thin layer of butter on both sides of the bread ( or use the spray on butter ) BEFORE I put it in the toaster. Then a small amount of raspberry preserves.

CNCBrawl56
Congratulations on an awesome 200 episodes!
ORIO
No pulp!
CookSux
Man... 200 is nothing. I'll throw a party when 201 comes out :3
Talon84
I like my toast lightly toasted with strawberry preserves with a glass of no pulp orange juice.

Another good example of blending 2D and 3D animation, to me anyways, is the Rebuild of Evangelion 1.0 and 2.0, both of which used CGI to create the Angels.
xion14
I don't toast my bread. I broke my toaster 7 years ago, and never bothered to replace it. Miss that toaster.
G1Wheeljack
Congrats on 200 episodes! I'd like to see a Transformers Anime headed by either Yasuko Kobayashi since I'm genuinely interested in that, or by Toshiki Inoue just to see what kind of trainwreck it would be.

Eat separate or slap them together for a goddamn Reese's sandwich.

Vangelus, you were on my turf,on my turf? Next time you're in Peterborough or thinking of coming here, let me know maybe we could go hunting or I could recommend places to eat at or check out. By then we'll have 2 Walmarts and 0 Zellers/Targets
