Questions for us here and discussion on questions being asked can happen in this thread.
This is exciting. Star Wars has been doing it and this is the first legitimate Q&A since the days of Orson's World. Can't wait to see how it goes!
Answers received for questions submitted on October 6: Hasbro Q&A October 2008 - Alternity, Animated, and Movie Toy Info! llamatron:
Awesome news.
Shame it's only bi-monthly, but ah well it's a hell of a lot better than nothing!
ambushbug74:
I just know one of the first questions submited will be about the botcon 07 figures, but I hope not.
Kickback:
We will do our best to weed out the questions that we feel are either easily answered by the fan community or do not serve a general purpose.
Questions like "Why did you not release Thundercracker and the other Seekers in the mainline for Classics?" ... which would be because Classics was designed as a filler line, it wasn't until the movie was successful that they determined they could then go ahead and continue on a movie-feel line in Universe 2.0 (which describes the paint schemes everyone bitches about). BotCon 07 toys were determined back in 2006, before the thought of continuing Classics beyond 2 waves was decided, and thus they wanted fans to have a shot at those figures and thus approved them for BotCon.
Hindsight 20/20 but those be the apples son.
Ezilla82:
Finally, a way we Transformers fans can ask Hasbro some tough questions that we need answers I'll post mine soon enough. But this is so cool.
jtuarus:
my question isnt about movie specifics but somewhat related to movie toys. i dont want specifics thou that would be like spoiler stuff.
id like to them that if they are taking all the new toy engineering learned from animated and universe both done by hasbro are going to be used to make the new movie toys even older chars like optiimus and rest "more" like the movie? more or less will they use there new toy poseability and transformations to be more movie accurate? i hope thats vague enough to pass.
MV75:
The following question is one that all fans should be wanting an answer to. I know for me that the result is forcing me to spend my $ with other companies such as Tak-tom and lego lately.
Q: Why has the general craftsmanship and quality control steadily declined since the Cybertron line to its current low point in the current Universe line?

EvaUnit13:
Will you try to improve QC on later waves of toys or are the costs too high right now to do so
StopMotionJR:
Really glad there starting to connect with the fans
faithingruden:
Is the new Optimus anniversary going to be the only "special edition" G1 re-issue released in the US?

My biggest concern is the quality control, I have been very dissapointed with the quality control almost all of my animated figures had defects except for the awesomeness that is Blitzwing!

This is a great idea.
Hasbro Canada just started this a couple months back with Cybertron.ca - good to see the parent company is getting in on the action.
TFmarvel:
Will you be doing any G1 reissue for the 25th Anniversary line
Aberration:
This sounds exactly like what Mattel's been doing for awhile now with various boards, which is a good thing. Are any sites besides TFW participating?
iceburn9:
My question would be :
Now that the 2nd Transformers movie is coming soon, does Hasbro have any plans to reintroduce the 3" Titanium line for movie characters ?
Personally, the 3" Titaniums were one of my favourites as it was the most accurate representation of the characters' movie forms. Thus, will there be more 3" titaniums for the 2nd movie's characters? (or is the line gone forever?)
(Not asking any specifics bout characters and such, would just like to know in general if this line would be resurrected for the 2nd movie)
Thanks in advance !
Nevermore:
Dear Mister Hasbro, do you often read Tee-Eff-Double-You-Two-Thousand-Five? If yes, who is your favorite member?
Predacon:
To Hasbro. Why has there been a systematic general decrease of quality in the Transformer line, primarily in deluxe class figures?
Why do promotion photos often have much superior painted detailing than the final in package product?
Why was Universe Galavatron made deluxe size when his engineering is good enough for Voyager?
Thanks

Thanks | I remember Hasbro answered this question before, there were too much big tank.

Many promo photos are made using hand-painted prototypes. They're done loooooong before the toys actually go into production, so they're not restricted to production-run budget limitations.

1. Is there going to be a deluxe Classics Jazz figure as originally stated on the TF Universe website?
2. Will there be more deluxe/voyager/ultra class Classics Dinobots figures and which ones?
3. Will there be a deluxe/voyager/ultra class Classics Wheeljack?
4. Will there be a deluxe/voyager/ultra class Shockwave?
5. Will there be a deluxe/voyager/ultra class Tracks?
Autovolt 127:

5.Where will Botcon 2009 take place at? will be at Hasbro HQ? becuase of the 25th anniversery and ROTF?
Nevermore:
Guys, it looks like you didn't read the first post properly.
THIS thread is for discussing the Q&A feature in general. Ask your questions here. --> QUESTIONS THREAD a fan like you:
Q: Will there be a deluxe Universe Classics 2.0 Soundwave or Scourge?

I suggest adding "Don't ask Hasbro questions about Takara toys unless the question is specifically about a potential Hasbro release of those toys" to the disclaimer at the beginning...
Ironhide2005:
Is frank welker in tf2 as...JUST KIDDING!!
Anyways in reality I got two questions
1.Is there going to be a retool/repaint of grapple in universe?
2.Will warpath get a deluxe in universe or animated?
Peanut04:
Well since not to many people are reading what this thread is supposed to be for, I'll try to get it back on track.
I think this is a great idea, though it would be nice if it was monthly instead of bi-monthly. Still the chance for a direct line to Hasbro to get some fan questions answered is always a good thing. Now I will go to the thread we are supposed to use for the questions and post mine. Nevermore:
I'd also suggest not to ask questions about things officially expected to happen next week-ish (such as release dates for toys scheduled to come out this or next month) in a bi-monthly venture.
uppercaseccc:
dear hasbro have you guy looked into some of the fanprojetes pepole have been poting out and do you think you will envest in any like the classic magnes upgraed kit
Torque:
WOOO!!! our chance to ask about LEADER LUGNUT!!! PLEASE, PLEASE A LEADER LUGNUT! my kingdom for a Leader Lugnut!
but i really like this idea, they may actually listen to us this time-itll be kinda kool, to have them answer some stuff.
MegaCepticon:
Mr. Hasbro since you bought the rights to Sunbow Productions, Will we see a re-issue of some sort of G1 episodes, Headmasters, Victory, GI Joes episodes, etc. on DVD?
DeeJay:
GB, to the average rabid fan, your well-meaning large-font link looks like an underlined demand to post in this thread, rather than a link to a different thread
maybe edit to say POST YOUR QUESTIONS HERE ---> QUESTIONS THREAD ?
Easterling Capt:
This thread is a proven point ppl dont read the topics.
Anyway I think its greay by Hasbro to d is and I hope they continue to do it.
Destron23:
Question: Will Hasbro consider ever making a Beast Machines Botanica for a toyline or maybe the 25th anniversary line?
tybearmvt:
When are they going to remake Devistator and/or Superion in the Classics series? They have all ready done Silverbolt and it would be awesome to see them re-tooled.
ad0nis01:
Its cool that their willing to listen to the fans. How much they will take us into consideration in the future is still a mystery?
jerky123:
1. When will you reveal toys for animated Wasp, Arcee, Omega Supreme, the rest of the Seekers, Cliffjumper, Ironhide, and the rest of the one episode cast?
2. What will Animated Beachcomber transform into?
3. Will you put off the Animated toyline for Revenge of the Fallen?
4. Will we get any animated charecters that are not in the show or the comic?

Also you can get a good idea as to how Hasbro will respond to questions by checking out some answers to questions answered over at Hisstank.com on G.I. Joe. Hasbro's G.I. JOE Q&A Round Three 2008
You can also see other G.I. Joe Q&A's here.

i also noticed a bunch of people were asking Hasbro about when TFA season 3 will be released, but that isn't really a hasbro question is it? it seems to me that is actually a cartoon network question... Sso02V:
The only questions I can come up with are about the movie line. Damn it all!

I'm sorry, but Supreme Class Animated Optimus Prime is one of the biggest examples. His yellow paint details barely cover the blue plastic underneath and you would think the machine/people putting the paint apps on had an uncontrolled nervous twitch.
This is not about production run budget limitations, but rather using the cheapest measures possible while still charging the same price.
