March 2014 Creative Spotlight Pt. 2- Radicons

Posted on 04-05-2014 at 11:00 AM by Secretcode under Site Updates
27426610d1395517286-you-know-whos-never-had-good-toy-bw-sonar-now-she-still-doesnt-batbot3 Dear Radicons: WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!

As mentioned in the last update, the Creative subforum went absolutely insane in March to the point where we've had so many spotlighted added to the queue that we had to split the front page story in half. While we did spotlight an impressive number of fanart and tutorials in March, the Radicons spotlight features a whopping FORTY. FIVE. spotlights this month!

When it comes to the creative spotlight, there is a specific set of rules that a custom has to follow in order to receive a spotlight. TFW2005 Staff have expanded and posted the new rules and guidelines for creative spotlights. These will be the rules for ALL creative spotlights going forward.

...Is... is that the end of the list? Is it done? Well... we'll be back in another month with another TFW2005 Creative Spotlight (Maybe we won't have to split it in two next time) and as always, stayed tuned to TFW2005 as we bring you the latest Transformers news as it happens.

March 2014 Creative Spotlight Pt. 1- Art, Tutorials and New Rules

Posted on 04-02-2014 at 01:00 PM by Secretcode under Site Updates
2w6vypg Here we are yet again, with another month's worth of Creative Spotlights. Kinda. The Radicons and Artists over in TFW2005's Creative subforum went in full force in March leading up to a massive listing of spotlights that was so large, we've actually had to split the front page story in two in order to give everyone a fair spotlight.

But first, an announcement: Due to an overwhelming amount of questions and comments, the TFW2005 Staff have expanded and posted the new rules and guidelines for creative spotlights. These will be the rules for ALL creative spotlights going forward.

That being said, onward to the Fan-Art section of the Creative subforum:
Also in this first post, the TFW2005 staff have archived some new tutorials over in the Radicons, as well as added a new subsection in the tutorials Table of Contents specifically for Kre-O customization!
Be sure to come back on April 5th, when we'll be posting the GIGANTIC March Radicon spotlight!

Posted on 03-27-2014 at 07:23 PM by Secretcode under Site Updates
not_the_bees And now for something a bit different. As a little break from the news, we here at TFW2005 have a slight change in programming tonight.

Originally written back in May 2012 for the former TFW2005 eMagazine "TFWe" as part of an ongoing series of articles named "Gimmickry", TFW2005 presents Yellow Gold- An article about how the various Bumblebee deluxes over the years can be used as a measuring stick for the quality of various toyline's budgets, gimmicks and overall design influences. (As two years have passed since the last entry in that series, this article has been reworked and re-edited with more information and other timely data.)

To check out the article, click right here to jump to the forum thread. Any comments? Criticism? Want more articles? Want to burn down every "hive" you see in sight? TFW2005 February 2014 Creative Spotlight: 28 Days Later

Posted on 03-01-2014 at 03:01 PM by Secretcode under Site Updates
27417067d1391552731-lockdown-mcgunface-gunface-red Another month comes by, and TFW2005's newest approach to the Creative Spotlights continues. A lot of really impressive work (Whether it be incredibly well done customs, or customs with fantastic concepts) was posted by TFW2005's talented customizers and artists in the month of February, so let's just get down to it.

As with last month, there are two big rules for the new Monthly Creative Spotlights: Only customs/artwork we select that are COMPLETED in the month of the Spotlight are included (WIPs will still be up for inclusion in the month they are finished) and we'll be limiting the spotlights to one creation per user, per month (unless the multiple customs are very clearly part of a set.)

Radicons of the Month:
Artists of the Month:
Special thanks to the talented minds over in TFW2005's Creative Subforum. Have any comments? Criticisms? Sound off in the discussion thread by clicking that little line below that says "Discuss on the Boards!" We'll be back in April with the next Creative Spotlight feature, so stay tuned to TFW2005 for this and more as the 30th Anniversary of Transformers continues.
