It's the angle the picture was taken at. It sort of squishes everything.
yea the average goer of this site is going to go "hey there is a picture, the link to the entire gallery must be right there"......rrrriiiigggghhhhtttt......usually there is a direct link in the info on the front page, or there is a link in the very first post of said thread......

i noticed that at botcon, but it seems most people didn't
Toxicon:
Btw guys, Ani Blackout's GINORMOUS tailblade weapon IS removable.

Look at the arm with the miniguns. They go on the side of the Helicopter (which was cut out of the pic). How could the other side of the Heli have guns too, if the other hand is completely covered by the tail rotor?

It is removable, it is NOT permanent.

Blackout, in short, is the most accurate Blackout we will ever get.

And thin legs just means he's taller than Lugnut.

buh?

Transformers Toys News and Reviews G1 to Movie - TFormers.com

hey, you're right.

but then again, that may be an old movie 1 voyager test shot repainted for the photo. from before his head was finalized. movie 1 leader megatron has a different heard from the picture on the back of his own box.
guard convoy:
i am curious though.....tfw missed a lot of pics.....were the pictures going soo fast they couldn't take them, or is it they were just ignored/skipped

and blackout's weapon being removable is a huge sigh of relief

It's what I've been doing for the past three years. Seemed like pretty common knowledge to me, tbh.
Incepticon:
Good news too about the Mighty Mugs of Jazz & Shockwave still getting released. I hate MM, but I definitely want that Shocky.

Fingers crossed that it's true that the rotor hand on Blackout is in fact just a removable weapon and not molded into his arm.
TRANS+CRAZY:
Also liking that Brawn figure.

Animated Blackout looks okay.
microclone:
i like legends jolt of all things!

HA barricade works well. Brawns hoof like feet really make little sense on that toy, i find that really spoils the look. bludgeon is quite amazing and quite a unique looking TF (and a good unique for a change).

wingblade prime gear on the voayegr toy will make a superb god ginrai.

I like how the scout class allows a bit of freedom of design, basically an extra set of TF's all on their own really.

potential purchases: all the animated save golfire (unless he looks great in person), bludgeon, legends jolt, HA barricade.
iamamachine:
Forever waiting for movie Hightower, Overload and Leader Fallen.
keanu577:
WOO HOO!!! Voyager Prime is deluxe prime with no battle damage! WOO HOO!!!

It is, trust me.
teruo kaiba:
Bludgeon and Mindwipe are certain buys for me.

For some reason though, I keep thinking that Brawn figure would make a better Brawl.
Luxor:
Same here kaiba
Dinobot Snarl:
Wow I'm astonished on the amount of awesome! for me its-

Brawn
Mindwipe
Wingblade Prime

But the rest is full of WIN and I can see that a trip to the store may always be fruitful this coming season!
Runamuck:
I love how Hasbro is putting pretty much all of their best original designs in the Scout class. I love these little guys. The larger classes have nothing on them, imo. And these upcoming pics prove that once again.

Only larger sized TF from this reveal that I'm interested in, is Bludgeon! And maybe Mindwipe. I also want to get Human Alliance Barricade. I need to find some 1/24 figures to see if they fit inside.

It's very obvious, I mean, the weapon is his tail in vehicle mode, and both arms are helicopter's front, there's no way it's molded together.
Takara_destron:
After seeing more pics Brawn and Skystalker have gone to MUST HAVE status (LOVE Brawn's head). HA Barricade isn't looking to great now either, hope it's just bad pics.
Spin-Out:
Bludgeonan Mindwipe look awesome. But Blackout.. Man, Blackout is amazing. I don't care what you guys say, but he's awesome and is the best helicopter EVER. I've already got a space for him on my Animated shelf, same with Arcee, Rodimus and 'Hide

Wingblade Prime... Eh.
Bumblejazz:
Brawn's head looks like a stormtrooper.
S250:
any word about Movie Scrapper?
Shadow25:
Disappointed that Hasbro gave up on the Arcee combined mode just cause it wasn't it the film. Can't really blame them though, or maybe you can. I wanted a good Arcee, guess the TFTM will have to do.
420bot:
Bludgeon, Mindwipe, Human Alliance Barricade, and Jungle Ironhide all look good to me, for now....

Brawn look's decent, and hearing that the bikes don't combine makes me want them even less.

So did I just not see the news, or was there nothing mentioned of 2010 Leader figures beyond Screamer?
NeilD83:
Jungle Attack Ironhide, HA Mudflap, HA Barricade, Animated Ironhide, Movie Deluxe Ratchet, and MANY MORE

HELL YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
frilly toothpick:
ha barricade is absolutely perfect. i guess ill end up picking up ha bumblebee so barricade has someone to hang out with.
Bumblethumper:
After some initial disappointments, I'm finding more things to like. Brakedown is awesome. Scout class needed a solid carformer, and this is it.

Scattershot is incredible. One of the real standouts. And his headsculpt scares the hell outta me.

Yeah, I agree. I don't even know if Legends Jolt is accurate or not, just like how it looks. Looks like fun. Legends Wheelie looks decent too. Brawn, if it wasn't for the feet, I'd really like that figure. Looks like a cool little tough guy, but they just had to ruin it.
dorfsquest:
I want every single figure shown at that panel...

Especially movie Lockdown and Bludgeon.
rattrap007:
They look fantastic.. Well most all of them. Not crazy about JS IH, Escape Waspy or Gold Grimmy.

other thoughts:

Human Alliance Mudflap - YES!! And it has simmons! One man... ALONE...... Can't wait for him...

Human Alliance Barricade - Cool.

Movie Brawn - Nice... But you know who he reminds me of.. Battle Unicorn from BM.. Look at the legs. They look like hooves. Look at the hips, chest and shoulders. They look like Battle Unicorn's. Kinda weird similarities...

Scattorshot - weird plow of doom vehicle mode. But still very cool

Lockdown - Looks like a slightly more advanced version of the Animated one. Just like I thought it be.

Skystalker - Very odd plane mode, cool bot mode though

Breakdown - Nice homage to the original.

Bludgeon - Incredible!

Dirge - Nice design.. Look a bit like a Blue Angel... OF DEATH!!

No, it appears they aren't making any more Constructicons.

GRARGH. Leave me alone.
squawkbox74:
Question: what the hell is that thing on Blackout's arm?
Simsplayer9:
Question: is true as above that there is NO more combined version of the bikers??

Totally agree, not only that but most of the larger figures don't even have as much articulation as the scouts too.

I'm pretty dissapointed with Ani. Thundercracker, hopefully it's just a bad photo shopped picture

Looks like he shares the same transformation as Lugnut. The cockpit splits open, the arms are formed from the winglets (note that the top turrets remain on top while the arm turrets look like they'll come off and will probably fit under the belly of the helicopter), the legs and groin are nearly identical (save for a bit more narrow legs), and he even has a detachable tail.

I'm willing to bet money on them having done an extensive remold of Lugnut here instead of making a completely new mold.

As for the others, I love Movie Lockdown, though I thought he was one of the ancients shown on screen. There was one with the same neck.

The new Scouts also look very awesome
Moy:
So. . . No ROTF Bonecrusher yet?
Another thing, a bit confused about Human Alliance Barricade, shouldn't it be named Human-Defiance? Unless he joins the autobots, and that will make me sad!
Vampiros:
Great!

But what about Human Alliance Ironhide? I hope there's a hope for him in HA line.
DecepticusPrime:
Im not seeing Waspinator or either Animated ratchet and ironhide, nor the pic of ROTF Jungle Ironhide

No, that was just an idea I posted in another thread. It was never official.
billcosby:
Bludgeon is outstanding. He finally gets a kick ass mold.
I would spring for Lockdown, too. Interesting to see him converted from Animated to Movie. I wish they'd do Arcee the same way!
Brawn's a bit of a disappointment.

As for Universe 3.0, I would not expect Hasbro to continue that until the ripple effect from ROTF movie fades into early next year. They'll have a two year period after that to sell Universe or Classics with no movie to promote.
arcee3:
Now we just need another Human Alliance to complete the small motorcycle sisters, and the only possibilities to release her with would be Jolt or Jazz, since it looks like we're only getting Deluxe class figures in HA. I'm hoping for a Jolt myself.
I'm also glad they decided to release the remaining animated figures. Does anyone know if the blocks on Animated Ratchet and Ironhide's hands are removable? They look like those CPR things. Or are those their hands?

It shouldn't even be that. Frenzy ISN'T human.
Incepticon:
I'm curious to see how well or poorly that new Lockdown sells considering it doesn't remotely fit into the Movie or Universe lines in terms of the 'realistic' alt modes Hasbro endlessly talks about maintaining and usuing as justification for not making certain other characters/figures. I'm actually very surprised this one got the green light to be made at all.

All the same, I kind of like how Animated figures are getting Movie-ized and Movie figures are getting Animatized. Makes me wish we could see characters get similar treatment across the board like that: Animated style, Movie style and Classics/Universe style.

They're removable. When Cyb Ratchet was leaked a few months ago, he didn't have the CPR things.
Cheebs:
Doh! Now that the good pics are out I am not near a Photoshop computer. I was able to fix 'em up a bit on gimp, but I just don't know that program as well...

His vehicle mode reminds me of an Alpine A310, albeit heavily modified.
Johnator:
I wish there was a clearer pic of Bludgeon's robot mode. Couldn't care less about the Animated stuff. Hopefully Universe returns soon.

EDIT: Nevermind saw a better pic looks good!
squawkbox74:
Oh, please, dear god tell me that Lockdown isn't a movie figure...
billcosby:
Thanks to Tony for the pictures and to Cheebs for the cleanup.
