This years SDCC totally made up for last years.

And Yes about those prices this year.
Go *bleep* yourself, indeed.
madman1366
Man SDCC exclusives used to be great at being reasonable with the prices….WTF happened?!?
I want that dinobot set…..but damn! That other set is go *bleep* yourself expensive!
DarkPrinceofKaon
You'd be surprised. I missed the initial drop when they first went up, BUT I persevered and hung in their with all you guys waiting for the restocks. I waited and waited…F-5ing all the while as three long weeks passed…and then they finally dropped! The prolonged agony of the waiting, the anxiety of racing home from work just to get to your computer to see if you had missed them, and finally the rush of exhilaration from being rewarded for all my steely determination.
Trailbreaker, I scored a Plex that day and now wear that sig you made as a badge of honor and I wear it with pride.
In fact, at that time I only lurked here on TFW. Reading all the posts, experiencing peoples reactions, reacting to all the twists and turns that happened at that year's Con (the Joe set cancelation then subsequent TFCC raffle/ Hasbro initially posting the restocks on Wednesday at 3:38pm, the three week wait for HTS restocks), …I then realized what I had been missing from the entire experience: me being a part of it.
Thank you for creating a keep sake for all of us that helps to immortalize what is truly a fond memory of mine.
Absolutely agreed. No matter what color they decide to paint these things, no matter what box they choose to ship em' all out in, they are all just a bunch of Bay-Bots in the end.
Hey, I do admit that I like the Ark play set style box-base that these guys come in…BUT not for cardboard and not for that price.
For myself, this years Con exclusives were a bust. I was hoping the entire time for a Metroplex recolor into Metro-Titan/Necro-Titan (IDW). Just seems to soon for Has/Tak to retire the Plex mold. It would have been fantastic, but alas…
Ah, I see that you are new to this game. Monday the 28th will most likely be to soon for HTS to post the drops. F-5 casually during that day if you want, but what you want to be aiming for is Tuesday, 29th from 7:59 am up till 4PM. If no drops on Tuesday, then the same for Wednesday, lather rinse repeat.
If still nothing by 4PM Thursday, then may God help you and us all…..
(as many others have said): Yes, it begins (inserts psychotic laughter as the stress from the event lapses sanity).

They did. I never saw it at any TRUs in the US, but I did see it at TRUs in Taiwan earlier this year, definitely shelfwarming. The color scheme is not something I'm interested in.

Has anyone heard what time or day the SDCC items will be available on HTS?
Thanks
Tman978
lol. I never thought of that. Maybe no TF collectors bought it but LP fans did?
Autovolt 127
Did they actually release that Linkin Park Soundwave?
Because I swear no one owns it.
bighatdino
Whoa, whoa, whoa, that's crazy talk. NOTHING can be as craptacular as that brown plastic Soundwave. This is niche, admittedly, but at least it is what it promises to be, not a once-gold-now-brown mess.

Sdcc 2014
It'd be even better if that TF Dinobot set was for 5 Dinobots instead of 4…Also, does anybody know if there is a special SW 6" Black Yoda figure in this mix? I thought I read about it early on, but I didn't see it in this press release, only Jabba.
G.B. Blackrock
I can totally understand not liking these things, or thinking they're not worth the money, but that comparison just strikes me as off. A series of garishly colored toys just isn't the same (to me) as a Soundwave that's pretty much just a bland mustard color.
D-Compose
I'd buy that poster!
Purple Heart
So when will the booth be set up?
Omegax80
Are people really going for this? I feel like this is as craptacular as the Linkin Park Soundwave edition.
Look at the price tags on these things… I was set to go for the Dinobot set, but $160? I dunno, I think this year my money doesn't leave the wallet..
T-Logicon
$185 for the tf rock band set?
My god.
sh002
I'll be buying the Kre-o set and the Marvel stuff as well from HTS. Skipping the rest of the Transformers.
AoE
Unless this means Magnatron, Magnaboss, Tripredacus, Rail Racer, an Energon Combiner done right, and/or a new Safeguard reveal, I fail to see how they plan on celebrating 30 years with the expected reveal of at least one AoE deluxe, G1 based combiners, and the new show.
Trailbreaker77
I'll be picking up a couple of things this year.
OMG I can't believe people used this sig as long as they did I made them as a joke.
I don't know if I'll be doing them again this year, I can't imagine the demand would be that big.
