We saw Black God Magnus thanks to Sol Fury's images from Auto Assembly.

The Super God Fire Black Convoy is new though, changed the title to get a better response.

Whoops, did I say God Magnus and not Super God Fire Convoy - doh.

I'm totally awestruck in a way as this is one toy combo I've always wanted to see... but on the other hand I might not ever see this toy let alone own it so I'm kinda sad.

*also for the record... dear Hasbro plz re-release these guys in universe in some new colours I will buy them up in a flash... again*

As far as I know, the RID/CR Optimus Prime/Fire Convoy Ultra Magnus/God Magnus molds are unavailable due to mold overuse. Same for the Car Brothers. So don't expect them to be re-released unless Takara-Tomy decides to rebuild them.

The packaging calls it "Black God Fire Convoy". Someone's experiencing adjective hyperbole...

Edit: I might add, for the TF@TM people... As far as I know, the combined form of God Magnus and Fire Convoy is "God Fire Convoy". The only place the "Super" adjective appears is for the armored form of Fire Convoy, "Super Fire Convoy".

Too awesome. I always loved the Car Robot Series. The new molds plus the older ones that were selected to accompany them always gelled so well together.

Wow. I saw mention of this in the little Cybertronian digest that was put out way back when, but I've never actually been able to find pics of it. I normally don't like black repaints, but this is just a thing of beauty.

So he was sold publically only once back in 06 on a Japan auction. Does ANYONE know how much $$ he closed at?????

the urban myth is that the cost to produce them cant be met by their approximate retail price for their size. But this was before the price hike so I'm not sure and its not like toys these days are any less complex.

Now another factor might be their odd shape since toys have to fit into a fixed box shape and they don't really fit into the typical sized boxes we have now. But as a box set I guess its up in the air still.

But I will say this... Decepticon repaints each one based off Astro Trains many paint jobs would be awesome and it could tie into the episode triple takeover as AT high jacks 3 trains if I recall correctly

According to the website linked in the first post, Black God Magnus is one of 10. I believe Black Fire Convoy was a similarly low numbered release.

I don't understand how Takara / Hasbro benefit from making extremely rare color variations that people go crazy over and then limiting them to 10 pieces. I think its stupid.
