A couple of videos have been uploaded to YouTube of the Robots In Disguise show opening. So far two have been found, one being around 20 seconds in length, the second being over 40 seconds. Both videos reveal show clips, the theme music, and a short introduction to the Autobot team of robots and humans. At this time we’re not sure if anything will change once the show premiers in North America come February.

I have faith this will be much better. Look at how good animated turned out to be

FFS.

Wow. Looks really bad. Transformers Prime will be missed.
LegendAntihero
Ditto. I'd like an anime style cartoon made in the US

My kids dont like it. It is on the middle of prime and animated, which makes it neither.
Drunk-Wheeljack
I'll give it a few episodes, but nothing about the show is impressing me so far
Autovolt 127
Totally.
A legit Transformers anime that's properly dubbed would be amazing.
Nightrain
Yeah I've found myself missing Armada in particular. If nothing else the animation wasn't stylized and we got a wide variety of interesting figures. Back then I swore off the idea of wanting an anime Transformers again due to the horrible dubs. Now I'd love to see one again.

Horrible, easily forgettable theme "song". I'll try to watch a couple episodes online to give it a chance but I'm not a fan of the designs or the animation. Credit where credit is due though, at least they're try something different.
I'm with Kickback though, I miss the days where the mainline was strong enough to appeal to both kids and collectors alike. As maligned as the Unicron Trilogy is, there was plenty for us adults to like amidst the toys' gimmicks and shows nonsense.
LegendAntihero
It reminds me of the opening of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when they freeze frame and name the Autobot in the picture. I wouldn't be surprised if Optimus gets named at the end when he returns

+1
Primacronus
Excellent explanation. That's what I was trying to get at. Appealing both visually and audibly, melding together in harmony.

THIS! Yes please!

Yes those are also excellent examples of timing the music and animation into something that really stands out. The music stands out enough to easily it pick it out quickly from other opening themes.
Nightrain
I truly do not understand how we got from the excellent season 2 intro in the 80s to basically throwaways now.
Primacronus
Or the two i posted on the last page?

I agree there is something about lyrics to an opening that just sticks with you. While the animation seem so dated these days that Starblazers opening still seems cool after all these years. Just say Starblazers and I might not want to watch an old episode but play the theme and part of me wants to watch again.

Really hard to come up with something great without lyrics like the opening theme to Batman the Animated Series. But then the music goes big and the animation to go with the music is such an excellent fit.

Cartoons that have lyrical openings will almost always surpass non-lyrical openings. The exceptions are possible, but rare, in my opinion.
Anyways, while I find the scenes playing to be nicely put, the fact that the song has no words, or even a very powerful theme, disappoints me.
ShovelFace
I miss openings with lyrics.

I like the 44 second one. The music sounds better in that one.
