Hisashi Yuki has posted an in-hand image of the Transfomers Adventure version of Robots in Disguise Strongarm. Adventure Strongarm is similar to her US release, but now features show-accurate white around her “ears”, and accurate white striping on her chest. Both of these elements are uniformly blue on the US version.
Check out the images, along with a look at Strongarm hanging out with Takara-Tomy’s female Autobots!
Autovolt 127
I want to see that as well.
Toolverine
So glad I got her.

Loving the toy except for those fishlips. If the head was remolded in a future release without them(as long as the mold is still presented as a female) I'd buy it.
Shizuka
Hasbro could just paint it on their version but I suppose that's too much to ask?
AlTheOneAndOnly
I'm liking the more accurate color scheme. Also she looks great alongside the other Takara fembots! Worth 10-20 extra dollars? Probably not. Maybe if I like the cartoon I'll pick her up.
Someone brought up Nautica, I would buy that instantly. Partially because I want more fembots/femcons, and partially because I need some purple on my Autobot shelf.
Renidragon
It looks good, but I'm perfectly satisfied with my Hasbro version.
Raiju
Girly? It looks like Strongarm's strutting into the room like Macho Man Randy Savage to me. Out of my way, ladies!

Just waiting on my red repaint of Strongarm… All I see is Smallfoot when I look at this mold. 😉
Wh33ls
There! You see? A lick more paint makes a huge improvement.
I'm done with Hasbro, and their cost and/or corner cutting. Now it's Takara only for both RID and Combiner Wars.
SPLIT LIP
Awkwardly trying to force her into uber-girly poses, there.
Why not just pose her in an action pose?

It looks decent. I'm looking forward to playing with the new RID toys, since getting them from Japan is relatively dirt-cheap for me. They're about NZ$15 cheaper to import (excluding shipping, which is pretty inexpensive from Japan to New Zealand).
Thing is, the Japanese RID toys are cheaper than regular releases (which, at the moment, would be the Deluxe Generations figures). This might also explain some lack of paint apps that still aren't on even the Japanese versions. For the price, I'm totally keen to check these out. If I was paying local retail, though, I'd never even touch them with a stick.
I love the old RID line (it's the one I grew up with, after all), but that's just not feasible these days, unfortunately. I mean, they not only had a ton of paint apps, but they also had lots of chrome (usually in decent places, too) and rubber tires. I WISH we could have toys like those all over again, but we probably never will, save something like Masterpiece. Still, there have been recent releases from Universe and Generations and things like that which have come close or even matched some of the old RID engineering, so there's that.
Vanessa
I like the image, and is it a play on Quinn Martin productions?
I can hazard a guess he'd draw her with an overly cute chibi face, big boobs and a big arse.
Feralstorm
I know how that goes.
My morbid curiosity kinda wants to see a Legends-style manga for Strongarm, just to find out what sort of character the manga artist feels like giving her.
Tekkaman Blade
I try my best, but no, I was commenting more on the lack of paint overall. I didn't think my paint job turned out that well, an I found the Hasboro and takara versions less appealing.
The last Rid series had more paint apps
There is only so much less paint they can use. At the rate they are going we will end up with nothing but unpainted molds and Only legends level figures and articulation.

lol
Burnout00012
Nice shameless self-promotion, bro.
Kaijumaster
I feel foolish. In my desire to collect IDW fembots, I never looked beyond.
optimusmegas
so much yes….but it must come with her sonic screwdriv…er….i mean wrench

When it comes to taking a picture with nice posing, Takara always does it the best.
Tekkaman Blade
A bit better, but like Hasboro, they are still being lazy on the paint apps, other than the chest, my own in progress repaint of the hasboro one looks better to me.
