Just a reminder on the back of our last story about upcoming episodes of Transformers Rescue Bots that there is also a brand new episode airing on The Hub in about half an hour! At 12:30pm ET tune in to get Squilshed! Today's episode is titled You've been Squilshed, and we're not entirely sure what that entails but as this is the show that gave us the flying lobsters aka the Flobsters, anything is possible! Tune in and enjoy!

I'll have to catch it on DVR as I'm turning in late, but I'll see it just before I go to work...if I remember it's Saturday.
Majestic
Based on the description I suspect they'll do some references to that really old movie... was it "THE BLOB"?

Also more of Blade's screaming his head off.
moreprimeland
When I first heard the title..I thought about the BLOB too, think I even posted that somewhere...it was one of my mom's fave movies--the original b&w one.. Yucky .

Then again, it could just be something that Dr. Greene cooks up and escapes his lab. More likely. Maybe a Flubber type of goo.

It's almost time.
moreprimeland
Okay, here we go, for those online with phones, no spoiler tags, so read at your own risk.

The gang is playing and cheating a little bit playing basketball...was hoping the bots would join in for a G1 nod.

Cody is wearing antigravity sneakers..dunks it!

Graham rec's a letter from an engineering school...he's been accepted to Gremsky Tech...will he go?

Graham would have to leave the island if he goes...the bots don't want him to leave.

Of course the anitgravity shoes go haywire...and land Cody in the bushes...

Frankie calls Cody and tells him to hurry to the lab.... something green splashes on Frankie.

moreprimeland
Cody has a hover board...going to see Frankie.

Guessed it, it's Doc's squilshed samples to test... brought back from the Mars Explorer...Cody calls it space goo.

Ahhhhh....of course, squished touched the battle cables...and comes "alive" (reminds me of the Flubber movie)

It's ALIVE!! and moving around on it's own, away from the gang..... drops in a bucket of water...and GROOOOWWWWWSSSS.....and now it's out of the lab and on the run.....
ruh roh... (guess it was time for a Doc Greene mishap)

Kade thinks that the hungry slimeball call from Cody is a prank... they call it a 'hungry giant booger'

Boulder and Graham talk about G going to an advanced tech shool...he was accepted.

Dani and Blades are following the Blob....it's in the park now...swallowing the benches.

Chase: Ingesting private property is a crime.

HW tries to use his water hoses, but the water adds to the blob's volume.

Oh noes....Mr. Pettypaws...is in the way...and the Blob gets him...

Blades tries to smash the Blob with a sign...which the blob absorbs... oops squirrels.

Charlie gets the kids out of the way, just in time...but his foot is caught and the blob is coming...............EEEEEEEKKK.
moreprimeland
Charlie's still trying to get his foot out.....Chase rescues him....and Chase is consumed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bots are going to squish the squilshed...HW is ready to do battle...first he rescues a woman from her crashed car....takes the pole she hit...and throws it at the blob... which releases Mr. Pettypaws...but not Chase.

Cody tells Doc about the blob consuming everything..but he doesn't have a fix..yet.

The blob is rolling out of town....they discuss the effects electricity has on the blob... hoping that will make it release Chase.

Boulder and Graham are working on a trap...and discussing when the blob will arrive.

Here it comes.........

Boulder uses the electrical probes on the blob...but it doesn't work..thankfully it doesn't get Boulder but the other equipment is consumed. Yum.

Charlie talks to Chase via his comlink...he says it's becoming rather crowded in there...something about the squirrels getting restless.

The wrong type of electrical charge (AC vs DC is the lesson of the week) is the reason their plan didn't work....they hatch another plan.
MachSabre
I wonder what is the insurance premiums in Griffin Rock like?
moreprimeland
Dani and Blades have to tell folks to leave the pool...Big Slimey isn't in sight either...they're standing around the pool...wonder why it's green?...guess who's in the pool?

Kade get away from the pool!!!!....ah..HW pulls him out of the way.

The water from the pool increases the Blob....now it's HUGE!!!

Blades is 'hooking up' the guys to get them out of there.

Back to Doc and Frankie, working on how much current they need to get the Squilsh under control. Graham and Boulder are going to deliver the charge needed.

The Squilsh has Boulder's hand...trying to keep him from turning on the electricity... he and Graham still manage to flip the switch!

It explodes!!!!!!!! And releases everybody...Chase will have to remove the gel from certain places in private.

Graham decides not to go to Gremsky Tech after all...he can learn more from the bots and of course, rescues on the island. Awww the team will stay together.
WTDylio
Oh, it's on later, goddammit, now I have to wait even longer
Oh well, can't wait to see who's responsible for the blob.....i'm looking at you Greene
moreprimeland
I know WTD, not sure why the HUB schedules them later and later, they keep moving TFP around too.
Majestic
Kinda surprised we got a Graham episode, I was starting to wonder if we'd ever get more on him!

Also, don't know what this goo is made of or what it does? LET THE KIDS PLAY WITH IT! -Doc Logic is derp logic-

Anyone else catch Heatwave rescuing a red-headed recolor of Kade's girlfriend? Just thought it was odd since I haven't seen to many background characters re-used so far.

Also, I'm not sure I've heard Chief actually refer to the bots as family, usually just "the team", but he refers to Chase family this time. Or I just forgot him doing it before.

Oh yeah, if Graham would be going for his PhD, just how much older are the other kids than Cody? I had assumed before they were in High school, but now I'm thinking maybe early in college, maybe...

Regardless, I really liked this episode! Boulder and Graham don't get enough attention because of Heatwave, Blades, and Kade.
WTDylio
Huh, hasn't been uploaded yet meh, i'll probably wait until tomorrow anyways when i'm properly awake

Damn, why am I so tired?
racbgar

As for the kids playing with it, they're very smart kids, certainly Frankie is.. and I would imagine she has helped her dad test more than just a few new substances. Same with Graham, I'm thinking students on 'Griffin Island' and schools are kind of like 'Eureka'...most of them have extremely high IQ's and are several years ahead of kids/teens in regular schools on the mainland. So he could be fairly young for a PhD.

I agree tho, it was nice to have a Graham and Boulder centric ep.
MaxxieOD
That was a fun ep! Tho I think my fav part was:

"It is growing rather crowded, the squirrels are becoming restless." Haha!

It was nice having a Graham ep, he needed some attention. Two engineers working together like him and Boulder was pretty cool. I don't think there's been an ep of RB I can say I didn't like...they're all good in some way.

Oh, and Blades getting "revenge" for Mr. Pettypaws...d'aww!

I for some reason quite enjoyed watching Heatwave trying to skewer the blob lol, then tazed it lol. Then threw the pole in frustration LOL
Repainted
Nice low level horror moment with the Squilsh is in the pool having gotten the people and the furniture with everything else it gulped up enroute and no one immediately realizing it. Mr. Pettypaws without his cranky master Mrs. Neederlander...absurd! She'll freak for sure when the Burns family returns him. I liked Blades' evasive manuever and the interaction with Dani afterwards, he's such a 'fraidy copter. Too bad the Squilish didn't get Mayor Lusky and digest him. An alright episode I liked very much.

-MR PETTYPAWS!!! NOOOOOOOOO
-Oh no. Those poor squirrels. Ohhhhh.
-CHASSSSEEE!! NOOOOOOO!!
soundwaverulls
I decided to watch the episode. I enjoyed it. Mostly because of the Graham and Boulder sub plot. I definitely like Boulder a lot more than Bulkhead. He's smarter and he doesn't look obese. And engineer is a lot more believable role for him than space bridge technician like TFA Bulk.
racbgar
just watched it and I am with MaxxieOD I love every episode so far for some reason or another!!
Chaplain
Another superb episode.

"Fear is a great motivator" - Blades
Pravus Prime
To be honest, didn't really care for this episode.

The squilsh just didn't work for me. There were a few Blob moments that weren't bad, and at the begining I was reminded of the old He-man Slime, but really, after it started the rampage, virtually nothing worked for me.

Most of it stemmed from this being a straight line episode, where everything was laid out and we just went down the straight path at the same pace. Compared to episodes like The Lost Bell which had all sorts of curves and a variety of pacing.

Not to rain on anybodies parade. Just this is the first episode in a very long time I didn't care for. In fact, this is the first episode of the series I didn't enjoy and the weakest since the pilot.
RedAlert Rescue
The background character Character Model who looks like someone I'm not allowed to mention but everyone know him, was on again and he seems to be the Life Guard again as he was previously on another episode.

Oh and there's a blink and you miss it bit when the squirrels escape over the fence when the goo explodes.

Graham also says he's staying but will take class over the vid phone (bit like some people do over the internet now I suppose)

I thought this episode was fine and may even slighty prefer it to last weeks. It's not top percentile but it was perfectly fine - besides I like different eps often for different reasons - I don't think there's any ep I actively dislike though.
HoneyPrime
Another episode I enjoyed very much. It was good to see a Graham and Boulder episode. So far their isn't an episode I haven't liked watching. I hope a DVD is released because I sure will be buying it.

Blades can be so brave when he needs to be despite being a scaredy cat.

I was like "Yes!!! Squish that thing. How dare it take Chase!!!" when the blob took Chase and everyone got pissed and set out to seriously get that thing. It shows the humans really care about the Bots. It makes me feel all fuzzy inside.

There is something that bothers me about this episode...

This series is directed at 3 to 6 year olds and the side plot involving Gram going back to school. I thought for sure we were going to loose Gram because "Stay in School kids" is usually the message these types of shows want to send but then "Nope I'm not going to school, I'm staying on the rescue team." What kind of message is that sending to small children?

I feel a bit conflicted here because on one hand I agree that experience is a better teacher than being in a class room reading about it but on the other hand I feel like most parents will complain and the show will be canceled because their kid decided he or she didn't want to go to school anymore after watching that episode.

I think they shouldn't of done that plot at all if they had no intention of replacing Gram on the show or they should of gone ahead and replace him with a new character. This is the other conflicting part because I think it would interesting for the team to have to hide the Rescue Bots true origins from whoever would end up replacing Gram.

On the other hand Gram did say that he could still take classes online so the whole debate about moving to the main land seemed kinda pointless. The question of how they handle that in future episodes will probably determine how parents react to it. Right now I think to a kid 3-6 it just looks like he decided not to go to school and they'd be like OH COOL I DON'T WANT SCHOOL EITHER! But if they actually show Gram taking classes online in every episode from now on I think it'll be OK.

I'm just a bit concerned because the "I can still take classes online" was kind of a throw away line that kids that young probably will not have paid attention to and all they heard was "I'm not going to school".

Also I don't believe that cartoons have that much influence on little kids but parents think they do so my concern is more to the parents over reaction to a cartoon and trying to cancel it for a stupid reason than little kids actually doing dumb things because a cartoon told them to. Not like the kids actually have a choice anyway, weather they want to or not they end up going to school and most kids don't want to go regardless of what cartoons tell them.

I look forward to Squilsh merchandise. Clearly we need at least a Squilsh lava-lamp.
Flashdisk
Another very good episode for Rescue bots, imo. Very nice.

As for the squilsh, I think it was showing some type of intelligence. Hmm..

Anyway, it was nice to see.

You're concerned about a major stink being raised because.. Graham is taking online classes instead?

Don't tell me I'm the only one who sees the flaw in this arguement.

I do, but I'm probably just gunna ignore most of Saber's posts at this point cause arguments with him just end up going in circles. I've yet to see him say anything positive on the show and just nitpick at things that either aren't a big deal or don't exist.

Blades is adorable even when he's trying to avenge someone.

And I agree with previous posters, it was nice to see how close the whole team has gotten and how they worry about a bot just as much as another human. And while Boulder's my least fave bot here, it's nice for him to get another episode, Graham too. All in all, a fun episode, even though it's a bit more predictable than others.

I swear, Chase always gets some of the best lines in any episode.

"Ingesting public property. If that's not a crime it should be."

"The squirrels are getting restless."

Nice Episode, and it's my second favorite next to the Flobster Episode.

I ignore most of them also. What's worse is he is wrong a lot of the time and just wont give up even when people try to politely and patiently explain things to him.

Oh I know!!! At first I thought he was just a big chicken but not now. He's brave when he needs to be and just adorable.

Chase does get the best lines. "I believe I have stepped in cake". And that smile of his in "The Lost Bell". It was out of character for him and so unexpected I just loved it.

So true, he takes everyting so literally and seriously that he just cracks me up...loved his snow angels and that he finally "got that" and in the Lost Bell when Blades jumps in his arms..."We tell no one of this."
The bit about the squirrels was One of his best to date.

1.) Ah, shooting hoops with Transformers. Never gets old.
2.) Definitely got flashbacks of RotF when Graham and Boulder had their discussion about school. *sadness*
3.) I at Doc Greene's emphatic "We have absolutely NO idea!"
4.) Nice to have a Graham/Boulder episode.
