Further to our earlier report, Beyond Home Entertainment has now confirmed that they will be releasing a complete Season 1 DVD boxed set for Transformers Rescue Bots. The set collects all 26 episodes of the show’s first season, and is expected to be released on 2 March 2015.
Beyond Home Entertainment has also posted a listing for a DVD “Serve and Protect“, which is also due to be released on 2 March 2015, and is expected to feature 7 episodes, based on the DVD’s runtime of 154 minutes. It’s thought that these will be the first seven episodes of the show’s second season, given that Beyond are releasing DVDs with the show’s entire run in order.
US fans, you may wish to find a way of importing these if you want the whole run of Transformers Rescue Bots on DVD, as Shout! Factory have announced they have no plans to do complete season boxed sets for the US.

No, only two single DVD releases of season 2 in Australia so far, covering half the season. The third DVD volume is due out in August, so hopefully the complete season 2 will be available on DVD in Australia by the end of the year.
The only box sets been released by Beyond Home Entertainment in Australia, are just bundles of the single DVD volumes anyway, even when released ahead of the single DVD volumes. It has happened with several cartoon series (Avengers Assemble season 1, Ultimate Spider-Man season 2, Wakfu season 1) lately, so might as well just get the single DVD volumes.

Transformers Rescue Bots DVD Boxset?
Is there a box set for Rescue Bots for seasons 2 and 3 out yet? If not is there a release date?
Thanks

To be fair Modern Simpsons episodes aren't that great to begin with.
But yeah it is extremely baffling they refuse to do a main box set, it's popular enough and it's the longest running (it will be) Transformers series.

Well, damn. I was bummed when the pre-order pages went down for this release. Got excited that there was news, but then it ended up being bad news.
Time to go back to holding out hope for a full series boxset from Shout when the show eventually reaches cancellation down the line. :/ (I know they've said no season boxsets, but have they actually said anything about a series boxset?)
Kenai
Yeah.. REALLY dumb decision.
I was having a handful of Aussie friends keep an eye out for this for me. Going to call off the hunt now that it's not the full season.

Yeah, no full set is a let down I won't be buying. 2nd longest running TF series that could eventually be number 1 (at least in the U.S.) should get such a distinction. Bad enough already the Simpsons people decided to not to do anymore season sets (DVD or BR)
TCJJ
Oh great, they fucked it up. Now I won't be buying it.

No Full Season = No Sale

Looks like the Producer (Beyond Entertainment) removed the Season boxset to rework it, and have done that by removing a volume. Which isn't their fault if Retailers were refusing to buy the original set because it was over a particular price-point that they preferred for their store… so the only way of meeting their demands is by "jettisoning some weight" to make it to Cyber… um, the stores.
Realistically, it's either that or nothing… and it looks like Beyond Entertainment preferred to get something out there as a discounted boxed set, than nothing at all.
The new outer box can be seen listed here at a Retailer for AU$20, as I couldn't find it yet on the Beyond Entertainment site.
The original box can be seen in the first post of this news topic, which clearly says Season One… but this new "trimmed down" version is just a "More Than Meets The Eye Set".
It has four of the five volumes from Season One, containing 20 episodes (440 minutes). I expect that inside the box is just the first four volumes as they were released to stores individually.
I might ask if this trimming down was indeed a necessary outcome to get Retailers to buy it from them… and see what their future plans are for the series.
At least if they do a second boxset for season two, there are only four volumes in Season two… so a boxset would be a complete season. But for now, to get a complete Season One, you'll need the Boxset and Volume 5. At least that is a huge saving compared to the four individual volumes, as the Boxset is AU$20, while the four volumes would be AU$40-60.

I regularly call Beyond Home Entertainment, and the cancellation was confirmed. There was no listing at all for a season 1 set, in their database for future releases.
Keep in mind, that Beyond Home Entertainment avoids publicly stating anything is actually cancelled. The various incomplete cartoon series from Nickelodeon (Adventures of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius, Catdog. Hey Arnold, Rocko's Modern Life) are the perfect examples, which have clearly been abandoned at this point, but they keep giving excuses when asked via Facebook.

Not a confirmed cancellation, but still up in the air. Regular volumes will continue though.
From Beyond Entertainment…
SpinalCord
That may have been the quickest cancellation ever… thanks for the info

Damn it we never get this on a season boxset
Kirben
Unfortunately I confirmed with Beyond Home Entertainment that the Season 1 box set has been cancelled. So they are only offering DVD volumes at this stage.
It is really disappointing there are no season sets for the series anywhere worldwide:
The DVD volumes by Shout switched to random episodes.
The DVD volumes in Australia are almost in order, but far too slow, and Beyond Home Entertainment frequently drops series not selling well.
The DVD volumes in Germany finally starting including English, only to get cancelled two volumes later.
The DVD volumes failure in Germany is the worst part, as they usually offer seasons sets eventually, and sometimes even Blu-Ray releases.

Me too but it still looks amazing
SpinalCord
Do you have a link to an order listing? Because it seems to have been cancelled to me…
spiritprime
I spotted that too. Looks really wicked! Wahoo!

Link no longer works

The listing disappeared for the Season 1 boxset, does anyone know why

In case anyone is interested, Beyond Entertainment have replied to my query about Volume 6, confirming that it WILL have 7 episodes, and the second season will only have 4 DVD Volumes instead of 5 like Season One.
That will make it a little cheaper to collect the second season… unless you wait for a Season Two boxset (if they have one).
But at least they have confirmed plans to release the entire second season in some form.
