Posted on 03-05-2014 at 03:17 PM by Sol Fury under Rescue Bots
Transformers-Rescue-Bots-Logo-Small Here's an update for all of you Transformers Rescue Bots fans. Recently we reported on the titles and airdates of the initial six season 2 episodes, however there was an oddity with episodes 5 and 6 both seemingly being shown outside the show's normal timeslot.

Zap2it has now updated with new times for episode 5, A Virtual Disaster, and episode 6, Spellbound, which are now airing on 3/29/2014 and 3/22/2014, respectively (yes, they seem to be showing out of sequence - or maybe Zap2it just has them round the wrong way?)

In any case, here is what the list of upcoming episodes and their airdates looks like:

3/08/2014 One for the Ages - This Saturday!
3/15/2014 Tip of the Iceberg
3/22/2014 Spellbound

Transformers: Rescue Bots - Interview With Nicole Dubuc

Posted on 03-01-2014 at 12:35 PM by SilverOptimus under Rescue Bots
1393643098476_zps7pprpfqs Transformers: Rescue Bots Season 2 began today and what better way to celebrate it than with an Interview. 2005 Boards Member MaxxieOD had the pleasure to interview Nicole Dubuc; Emmy Award Nominee and Script Writer for Transformers: Prime and Rescue Bots. The interview was conducted by Heatwave and Boulder and you can checkout a very cool artwork brought to us by MaxxieOD as well.

Heatwave: Areia L. Carroll asks "With Transformers Prime now over, are the writers thinking of any ways to further tie the shows together since they have been said to be in the same universe? Something like Agent Fowler, Unit:E or even Ratchet having cameos?"

Nicole: The writing team is always trying to think of ways to put Easter eggs in Rescue Bots that tie it to the Prime universe -- a lot of people have noticed the "I hope there's no such thing as a Skyquake" line Blades has, or the implication that Morocco was trying to sell off technology to Silas. I can't spoil anything that's coming up, but know that we're still treating the show as existing in Prime continuity and we pay homage/reference that whenever we can. At one point in season 1 there was a chart of where the Rescue Bots episodes happened in the Prime timeline. Now we lag the Prime events by quite a bit, obviously.

You can read the rest of the interview at the Thread associated with this news post.

Transformers Rescue Bots Optimus Primal Artwork

Posted on 01-25-2014 at 03:53 AM by Sol Fury under Rescue Bots
1531928_10153756733585531_1623079013_n Marvin S. Mariano, who did the artwork and toy designs for the new Transformers Rescue Bots Rescan series, shared some cool artwork with the Transformers Rescue Bots Facebook group.

What you can see in this artwork are the artwork for the new forms of Bumblebee and Heatwave in both their modes - and, in dead center, a good look at the art for the new Rescue Bots Optimus Primal, whose identity as a mecha T-Rex was confirmed at the UK Toy Fair. In beast mode, the new Optimus Primal is a hybrid of a T-Rex and an excavator, with a shovel on his tail and smokestacks for ears; in robot mode, he draws on a bit of a Beast Wars Megatron homage and sports the T-Rex head for a right arm.

Check out the image and see what you think of the all-new Optimus Primal for the Rescue Bots series.
