By way of our sponsors Big Bad Toy Store we can confirm two new characters for Transformers Rescue Bots! The fifth assortment of Rescue Bots toys introduces two new characters, Medix the Doc Bot and Hoist the Tow Bot into the mix.

By way of Hasbro's website instruction archive, we've got a look at the instructions for Medix and Hoist, which gives us some indication of the look of the robot mode and vehicle modes. The instructions use line art rather than photos of the toys, so there's still a bit of mystery on what the toys will look like though. Shout out to 2005 Boards member engledogg for digging these up!

The fifth assortment is rounded out by repacks of Blades and Boulder, two characters who have been hard to find previously. It's due in stock at Big Bad Toy Store in September this year.

TV Shows on DVD has updated with more details on the Transformers Rescue Bots Roll to the Rescue DVD. The DVD features five episodes from the series and one more as a "special feature". The five main episodes on the disk are as follows:

Hotshots
Flobsters On Parade
The Alien Invasion Of Griffin Rock
Four Bots and A Baby

The premiere episode, Family of Heroes, is included as bonus content. The DVD also includes printable coloring sheets as additional bonus content. Street date is currently set for 2 October 2012.

TV Shows on DVD have posted an update regarding the Transformers Rescue Bots "Roll to the Rescue" DVD. Previous reports suggested that the disk would have a cover dominated by the human, Cody Burns - this new information shows a revised cover showing the entire core cast along with Optimus Prime. Check out the new cover by clicking on the thumbnail image attached to this story.

Rescue Bots collectors, heads up! The Rescue Bots Mobile Headquarters has been sighted at the CityTarget in downtown Chicago, Illinois. The set, which featuers a fire truck that converts into a mobile base, a non-transforming Optimus Prime vehicle, and a Cody Burns figure, retails for $39.99.

We've now got details on the season finale of Transformers Rescue Bots! Rescue Bots has another double bill on 18 August 2012 and there is time travel (and time travel related puns) involved!

First up is episode 25, It's a Bot Time

Second is episode 26, Bot to the Future

The Hub has posted a clip of Transformers Rescue Bots Episode 20. Airing this Saturday at 12:30 ET, it is titled "Countdown", and according to previous information features residents of Griffin Rock mysteriously vanishing. Check out the clip below to get a look at what is in store, then tune in on Saturday for the full story.

As we previously reported, those fun loving rescue heroes the Rescue Bots will making their way to DVD and into your homes courtesy of Shout Factory! Now thanks to DVD-Empire we have our first look at the DVD cover image, which won't feature a Transformer on the cover at all, but Cody on his hover board! Additional details from the site include that the dvd will be 100 minutes long, which rounds out to about five episodes. No confirmation yet if this will be the first five episodes or five random episodes.

The DVD will be released on October 2nd.

Just a reminder on the back of our last story about upcoming episodes of Transformers Rescue Bots that there is also a brand new episode airing on The Hub in about half an hour! At 12:30pm ET tune in to get Squilshed! Today's episode is titled You've been Squilshed, and we're not entirely sure what that entails but as this is the show that gave us the flying lobsters aka the Flobsters, anything is possible! Tune in and enjoy!

Zap2it have updated with details of new episodes of Transformers Rescue Bots that will be hitting our screens in August, including a double bill of new episodes on August 11!

First up on 4 August is the episode "Little White Lies", which sees the team mounting a rescue for Chase and Chief Burns, unaware they have been trapped in a mine cave in. This is followed by a double bill of new episodes on 11 August, Shake Up and Rescue Boy! In the former, an Earthquake hits Griffin Rock and sees the team taking an active role in leading rescue efforts, while in the latter Cody finds himself the newest hero of the island!

Hasbro has now put up images of some of the upcoming Transformers product that was revealed today at the San Diego Comic-Con panel. Here we have collected all of the upcoming Rescue Bots releases.

Included are images of the Bots and Robbers set and the Rescue Bots minicons.

Good news Rescue Bots fans! Shout! Factory and Hasbro have added Transformers Rescue Bots to their ever-growing pool of TV shows that Shout! is licensed to produce DVD sets for. Full details are currently unconfirmed as per the report from TV Shows on DVD, but odds are we can look forward to a season box set at some point in the future as has been the case with Shout!'s other Transformers DVD offerings.

A couple of brief updates for the fans of Transformers: Rescue Bots. First up, Zap2It has updated with a listing for the 21st Episode of Rescue Bots titled "The Haunting of Griffin Rock", with a brief summary: Ghosts haunt and terrorize the residents of Griffin Rock.

Meanwhile, The Official Facebook Page for The Hub has posted a new image from this week's upcoming episode, showing off the in-show design for Bumblebee.

The Hub has posted a preview of this Saturday's all-new episode of Transformers Rescue Bots on Youtube! Coming this Saturday is "The Lost Bell". When a storm strands the team on a deserted island the team finds a pirate ship holding the key to one of the oldest mysteries of Griffen Rock! Be sure to tune in on Saturday morning to check it out!

Good news everyone! Zap2it has updated with the descriptions for two of the upcoming episodes of Transformers Rescue Bots, giving us a tease at what is to come in these new episodes. We have spoiler tagged the descriptions for those who would prefer a surprise - but we finally have a clue what "Squilshed" means! It might well be a new Kremzeek in the making!
