Rescue Bots Energize Wave 1 Variant

Posted on 02-17-2013 at 07:18 AM by Sol Fury under Rescue Bots
RBOptimusvariant There's an interesting variant in the Transformers Rescue Bots lineup. The Rescue Bots Energize figures as you may be aware feature translucent blue plastic. The variant we are getting reports of suggest that on Optimus Prime and Bumblebee at the very least some toys sport a lighter shade of translucent blue, closer to the weapons than the usual darker blue. 2005 Boards member Octavius Prime reported on the variation with a comparison shot of the two different versions - he was not able to find a Heatwave or a Chase to verify if they too have variants.

Along with a picture of the case, he's provided us with a pic of the single pack for Heatwave. This figure appears identical to the upcoming Heatwave figure from the new 2-pack with Kade Burns. Whether or not these single packs will be available in lieu of the 2 packs, or if these will be available in addition to, is unknown currently. Other figures in the case include Chase Burns, Optimus and Bumblebee. The figures retail for $2.00 each and we're found at a Toys R Us in Fullerton, California.

Transformers Rescue Bots Malaysian and Australian Production Deal

Posted on 01-13-2013 at 02:50 PM by Sol Fury under Rescue Bots
Rescue-Bots Hasbro studios has announced a deal with Malaysia’s leading studio, Vision Animation, and Australia’s Moody Street Kids to produce the 26 episode second season of Transformers Rescue Bots. Rescue Bots in this way follows in the footsteps of Transformers Prime with the shared production deal with Malaysia.

Of interest in this release is that it mentions pre-production will begin immediately, but that the delivery will be expected in 2014. This seems to run contrary to the report that Transformers Rescue Bots is already recording its second season, but time will tell what the reality of the situation is.

Rescue Bots Energize Wave and Figure Two Packs Released in US

Posted on 12-19-2012 at 05:05 PM by Sol Fury under Rescue Bots
imag1559y We are getting reports that there are some new entries from the Transformers Rescue Bots series making it to store shelves. The Rescue Bots Energize wave consists of new releases of earlier toys Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Heatwave and Chase in new decos featuring clear plastic parts and additional rescue gear accessories. The wave of four turned up at a Meijer store in Lincoln Park MI.

We have also had reports that the Rescue Bots packs consisting of a non-transforming Rescue Bot figure and a show-accurate member of the Burns Family packed in have been sighted at US retail. They've been found at the Charlotte NC Walmart and in Rural Valley PA too. It's worth bearing in mind if you are hunting for more Rescue Bots goodness for the younger fan (or the fan who is young at heart) this holiday season.

WP_000120_zps5ff52af3 Just in time for the holidays for our youngest fans, we have news of an all-new release in the Transformers Rescue Bots line. This large non-transforming Electronic Energizer Optimus Prime was spotted in San Antonio, TX by 2005 Boards member raiden225005. It's in a similar vein to the Powerbots and Revving Robots that have been released in the past for the movie series. raiden225005 reports that the cross sell on the box also shows a Bumblebee, but only the Optimus Prime was to be found on shelves.

Transformers Rescue Bots Energize DVD

Posted on 12-08-2012 at 08:21 AM by Sol Fury under Rescue Bots
TransformersRescueBots_Energize TV Shows on DVD has news of a new Transformers Rescue Bots DVD. Due out on 5 March 2013 by Shout! Factory, the DVD is titled "Transformers Rescue Bots Energize". The DVD runs for 110 minutes, so probably contains 4 episodes of the show. The cover, shown at left, features Optimus Prime, Blades and Chase.

There's no word on what is on the disk yet - potentially it will be a compilation of episodes from season 1 of the show, however, the new assortment of Rescue Bots shown at New York Comic Con 2012 was subtitled as "Energize", so this DVD just might tie into that assortment - and hence the show's second season - somehow.

We'l keep you updated on any new developments.
