Transformers Inducted into Toyfare Magazine Hall of Fame TOYFARE-HALL-FAME-10
Toyfare magazine inducted the Transformers toyline into it's Hall of Fame at Wizard World Philly 2009, and Aaron Archer accepted the award on behalf of Hasbro. Other winners included Randy Bowen (sculpter), Tim Bruckner (sculpter), and Jesse Falcon (Marvel Legends creator). Check out the video below, plus some pics of all the award winners and the statue created for the event by the 4 Horsemen.

I was wondering how long this "hall of fame" has been going, as I've been a Toyfare reader for years and I don't remember hearing much about it to this point.

Heh okay...kind of meaningless. This seems to be a promotion that Toyfare magazine just recently cooked up.

The Strong National Museum of Play has their own 10+ year old Toy Hall of Fame, which seems a little more legitimate.

Almost went with Freyabeads, but I had to work. Oh well, the Video was almost as good as being there. Congrats Hasbro!

Eh, how legitimate can it be if it doesn't list Transformers as an inductee? Kidding! Kidding!

Seriously though, personal preferences aside, I'm surprised Transformers isn't on that list. Transformers seem at least as worthy as Barbie or GI Joe.

For sure. TFs are younger than those franchises, is the only thing.

That is awesome that they have been inducted, but I didn't even know Toyfare had a hall of fame.

Anyways, that's cool news, but that video was boring as hell.

Toyfare is just to overly positive. They can't properly criticise a product without it being a joking satire. And even then you don't come away with a negative impression.

Seriously the creator of marvel legends got a award from this company.
Even though its a universally hated product in the marvel fan community. (the shortpacked limbs for the build a figures + absurd varients played a huge role)

What if a video game review magazine wrote only five star game reviews for everything that came out?

Toyfare is'nt treated as a buyers guide magazine. Its a joke riddled with embarrassment since the robot chicken people took control.
