Haha, my point is so simple though.

Everyone has their own opinion on the new version...but you're right. The rapping should go. The high pitch dynamics of the chorus...I personally think ruins the flow of the song as well. This is all pointless for me anyway since I play rockband! Haha. =) They just need to release the entire 86 movie album!!!!!

This is awesome news. Of course, I'm not a Guitar Hero fan (I bought Guitar Hero III and honestly I NEVER play it lol).

But too bad... if only World Tour had been my Guitar Hero "experiment" then the purchase SO would have been justified (The Touch is honestly my favorite song lol)

I think everyone needs to calm down about whether its a new story or not, and hope that someone updates us as to whether the song is ROTF or 86!

on the Wii question, if you dont have your Wii connected to the internet (wireless capable , out of the box BTW) you need to do that first. I think it is through the in-game store.

I don't personally own "World Tour" but this makes me want to get it more. I hope some has the foresight to dl this for Bot-con and have a Karaoke booth set-up with a camera. that would be a sight to see. A band full of TF fans rockin' out to Stan Bush!!!!!

Will this download only be available on that day only, or will it be available from that date on?

The reason why I ask is because I have a brand new PS3 still sealed in the box which I do not want to open until I move into my next apartment. I don't plan on buying a new TV until then either.

1/ Install Firefox
2/ Install the "download helper" add-on to firefox
3/ go to the link for the new "the touch" video at youtube
4/ when it plays, click on "watch in HD".
5/ Click on the three coloured balls on the right of the address bar.
6/ Click on the file that says something like "the touch HD" (there might be 2 or three options. Just keep clicking on them until you see a ".mp4" ending on the file when you try and download it)
7/ Once downloaded, use a media converter, like the great "SUPER" converter (google is your friend). Convert it to an MP3. If you have probs, then convert the .mp4 file into ANOTHER .mp4 file and then convert THAT new .mp4 file into an MP3 file

Congrats. You now have a free mp3 of the new "the touch" track.

ok, it's 1:00 am, todays Track Pack was already uploaded on the Wii Servers, but still no touch, i hope it gets updated early in the morning before i go to work...

awesome, the 2007 version is just fine witn me, so long as it's not the 09 one. makes sense too, i'm guessing the master tracks to the original are long gone.

that's strange. either way, it's not the 09 version. the original and 07 version are close enough that i would have taken either one and been just as happy.

Just to be clear, The Touch 2007 is a new version, right? Or is it like a re-recorded 86 version? Cause I'm thinking it's a full, new recording...

the 2007 version is nearly identical to the original. it's the 2009 version that's different sounding.

Found out that Wii Eu won't get The Touch till June. Its on the Guitar Hero forums for those doubting the word.

No, 'The Touch' and this weeks DLC track were free - you normally pay for them. (and I'm still waiting for The Touch to become available for the Wii in the UK, Aaaargh!)
